@Gear: I thought you quit for good this time.

Kyosuke makes a deadpan glare at Blair. "You really want to say that in this country?" he grunted.

"Did you ever explain that to him? How demeaning that is to you? Or did you go with your first instinct and simply walk away without any hint of explanation or understanding? He said it because he thought you were 'cute', like a kitty." Noel explained.

1) I like writing.

Ness exits the hotel, having a pretty bad case of bedhead. Her hat doesn't help to hide it as she saunters over toward Kyosuke and Blair once she spots them. She rubs her eyes a bit as she waves at them. -yawn- "H-..Hey... guys. I think... I.... slept a lil'... too long.."

 

[Chungus]

As the thrown soldier hit the ground, the grunted and held his head. Seeing the glowing blue ball on the soldier that was thrown, the others stared at it for a brief moment before taking the cautious route and stepping back, putting a decent distance between the grenaded soldier and themselves. "Stay put. There's something on you." one of the soldiers said to the grenaded one. Just as the other soldier stood up and opened his mouth to say something back, the grenade went off. The legs of the soldier fell to the ground with a thud, his torso obliterated. Three soldiers who stood nearest to the blast were thrown back by the force of the explosion, but were otherwise unharmed. The other soldiers began looking for any sign of the elite.
What soldiers were still inside the building and able to fight fired at the elite as he jumped through the window, losing track of him when he cloaked. One of the soldiers inside the building ran to a wall-mounted phone and called an ambulance while the others who were inside remained there to defend the area if need be.

Seeing the state Rookie's shoulder was in, the medic grimaced, also not being equiped to deal with an injury that severe. With little else that he could do, the medic hooked Rookie's good arm up to a drip which registered controled doses of pain killers, not wanting to administer a great amount in fear of giving Rookie an overdose.

Blair's left ear twitched a bit. "Why? do they not like cats around here?" She asked Kyosuse, a bit confused by him. She returned the wave to Ness and smiled. "Hiya!"

Kyosuke gives a mild nod at Ness before turning his attention to Blair again. "No... Well, maybe. But they don't like magic."

Rita was in the lobby of the hotel, writing in her book. Though the fight didn't go as planned I managed to test out my theory. The Crimson Flare was successful, and if I paired it with a similar skill in each of the remaining elements and combined them I could unleash a primordial power. I would put myself at risk casting such a skill though, but my math checks out, I shouldn't be harmed at all. she thought to herself as she wrote.


In Winterhorn a girl was in the library, reading on the history of the two nations. She wore clothing similar to any other student in the school, and was otherwise completely unremarkable.

Ness scratched the back of her neck slightly as she smiled at Blair. Hearing Kyosuke, she nodded slowly in agreement, still a little too tired to input anything more.

 

[Kirke]

The elite ran along the edge off the building, looking into each window and checking if it was closed to the medic and the Rookie.

(To the medic: Thank you, his painkillers were ebbing off.)
The Rookie sighed in relief, then put his helmet back on.
OoC: Man, I'm kinda enjoying playing the elite. Since he's a villain, he can be a bit op compared to other characters. Actually, since he's hunting the Rookie, he has to.

"Oh...." Blair said, sounding a little upset by that fact, her ears and tail drooped a bit. "I'll keep that on the low then..."

@Gear: Well if you're not going to do anything in character, get out of the thread.

"Well...no, I didn't explain." Jessica said, her indignation breaking apart slightly. "But, you hear that from nothing but hateful pricks, eventually you just start assuming everyone who says it is just as hateful." She attempted to explain. She looked away and scratched at her right sleeve with her left hand. [small]"Besides, I never expect anyone to try and call me 'cute'."[/small] She muttered.

Kyosuke gave a raised eyebrow at Ness and said. "You need a pick-me-up?" Turning to Blair he said. "Well now you know."

Noel sighed and said. "I understand... He thought he was being nice, and you really did just hate him just because. At least you know now. If he was still around, I'd bring him over to apologize, but he's left with Ness and a few other's to some port." She then asked.

"I... don't exactly see why people would be hateful to you."

OoC @Kirke: Playing a villain can be fun indeed.

"It's a shame this is all I can do." the medic answered Tophat, rubbing his temples as he did.

Having requested two ambulances, as well as back-up, the soldier that was on the phone hung up and moved towards the middle of the building. Two more soldiers entered the building, while others stood guard outside.
Having left the main building earlier with the other miners, the young man with the duo-coloured hair and cybernetic eye ran back to the building, carrying a metal ring with a handle in the center by which he held the ring.

"Hey, what do you think you're doing?!" One of the soldiers standing guard outside asked as the young man came back.

"Helping you guys out. What else?" he answered.

"Fine... Your fenural, kid."

The young man nodded and entered the building, moving to the middle of it.

As passing three windows, the elite was relatively close to Rookie and the medic.

Loki returned to the building he and Rita stayed at during the night. Seeing Rita awake, he walked over to her. "I have yet to ask,but judging by the scars you have sustained, I wager you encountered our quary. How did you fare?"

In Winterhorn, the librarian walked up to the girl after looking at her for some time. "I'm sorry, but I don't think I've seen you around here. Are you new?"

 

[DotSlash]

Ness shakes her head a bit as she rubs her eyes again. "No.... I'll be fine... Jus'... give me a few minutes to wake up."

 

[Furioso]

"Not great, almost went and got myself killed. The creatures here are far faster than the ones from my home." she held up the bag "There were 2 creatures, either of them could have been the culprit. One was a massive snake, I have a fang from its corpse, the other was a creature I've never seen before, I have its claw."


The girl looked up at the librarian "That's right."

Jessica rolled her eyes at Noel. "I didn't hate him 'just because'." She began, placing 'just because' in air quotations as she spoke. "I hated him because I thought he didn't think of me as a person." She explained. She shrugged and said to Noel, "I don't see why you find that hard to believe. Humans are good at finding arbitrary reasons to hate things. Or is that not the case where you come from?"
After a moment, she asked, "Wait, if everyone's already gone, why are you two still here then?"
