(To the Rookie: I think that beast is close, better get ready.)
The Rookie nodded and pulled out the drip. He donned his rucksack with some difficulty before taking out his pistol.

The elite almost had smile on his face as he stepped back and prepared himself. Realising stealth was pointless, he decloaked and raised his shields. He then ran forward and jumped through the window, tossing a plasma grenade at the soldiers and the young man before making a sprint towards the Rookie.

The Rookie shot a couple of shots at the elite, but they simply glanced off the shields. Tophat tried to make the elite stop, but he was completely focused on the Rookie.

 

[Chungus]

"You yet live, and did the deed. I would call the endeavor relatively sucsessful." Loki answered, then briefly looked at the bag. "Wherther both of them were responsible for the destruction, or neither of them, it matters little. Lucia could likely be convinced the culprit is disposed of."

"Good on you, then. Do you need help finding anything?" the librarian asked.

Kyosuke gave a shrug at Ness then continued to relax against the building.
[hr]
"Well he does think of you as another person, as I already explained... And yes, humans are remarkably well to find reasons to hate one another." She paused for a moment then said.

"I promised Dal'Sheed that I would accompany him with this 'Granite Pass'. That's why..."

 

[Furioso]

"She'd better with all the trouble I went through, lets go see her." said Rita as she started walking to the lab

"Yes, if there are any more books on the Legaians, specifically, on their weaponry I would like to look at it... doesn't hurt to be prepared."

 

[DotSlash]

Slapping her cheeks together a bit, Ness gives a small wave toward Kyosuke as she starts to walk toward the shopping district, looking around the windows and such.

[hr]

Rex yawns as he exits the hotel and gives a small wave to Kyosuke. "Sup."

 

[Chungus]

When Rookie pulled out the drip, at the medic was startled for a moment, but quickly realised what was going on and pressed himself against a wall in the hope of being out of the way of any stray fire. "You're in no codition to fight!" he shouted at Rookie.

"Enemy spotted!" One of the soldiers who stood at the door shouted upon seeing the elite decloak. The grenade thrown by the elite stuck to one of the soldier's arms. Remember what had happened last time the blue blob stuck to someone, he dropped his rifle and tried to pull the grenade off. The other soldiers who stood near quickly moved away before turning towards the elite. The majority fired bursts of five round, while two others fell to one knee for stability and fired full-auto.
The young man rolled out of the way the moment the elite jumped through the window, out of the reach the blast that would be produced by the plasma grenade. As he raised to his feet, he activated his weapon, three 'wings' sprouting from the ring, making it look like a shuriken. Then, a laser beam surrouned the ring, connect by the wings. He threw the laser wheel at the elite, aiming low.

"Well if he's with Vanessa I'm sure I'll run into him and get a chance to explain sooner or later." Jessica said to Noel, not seeming in any particular hurry to try and regroup with the folks who had moved on. "So, who's Dal'Sheed, and why are you two going to accompany him to a quarry?" She curiously asked.

Kyosuke gives a low hmm to Ness as she walks away to the shopping district. Just as he was about to close his left eye, Rex shows up. With his usual stoic face he said. "Nothing at all... Fedora hat... She your's?"

Noel gave a small nod as she said. "Kinda tall person, wears a mask. Inspecting this world about something or other about its ruins. I personally thought it would be interesting... As it might be a way back home."

 

[DotSlash]

Rex looks over at Kyosuke and shakes his head. He sits down with his back against the wall. "Naw, man. She's not my girl. Just my boss."

Ness continues to walk around the shopping district, humming to herself and slowly making her hair less of a mess with a comb she digitized.

 

[Chungus]

"Indeed." Loki said as he followed Rita, wondering how powerful a mage she really was, having only seen her swing her book at the fearie.
[hr]
"I'm sorry, but I'm afraid the only book we have on the subject is one with only a small section talling of various incidents where Xiphatians tried to use a Legaian weapon. Knowledge about these things isn't revealed to the general, you see." the librarian answered the girl.

Aside from all the stores one might expect to find in a relatively small port town such as Port Letosh, there was a fairly large store that dealt in fishing and camping equipment. At the end of the shopping district, near the airship dock, there was also a warehouse.

[Kirke]

The elite rolled forward, pulling out his plasma pistol and firing one shot at each soldier before swinging at the Rookie. His shields took the fire, but were lowered in the process.

The Rookie fell backwards, getting cut across over the chest. The energy sword cut through the armour like butter, and sliced a shallow slice across his chest. He screamed in pain as the elite grabbed him by the throat and pulled him in the way off the bullets.

Rita walked into the lab "We're here to see Lucia, we did what she wanted."


The girl waved her hands in front of the librarian "Hey, lady, wake up! Books on Legaian weaponry?"

 

[Drakmorg]

"Could be interesting." Maybe those ruins do have something to do with the Anomaly. Jessica replied, staring off into space as she began to think about something. "I'll have to have a talk with this Dal'Sheed person and find out what they know sometime soon." She mused aloud to herself.

"Interesting boss you have then." Kyosuke replies, as he readjusts his eyepatch.
[hr]
"Indeed. But according to him, this might as lead to where magic and tech got this conflict. But yes, as soon as we figure out where he is...." Noel gave a general look around.

With her appearance a little more presentable, she walks over toward the warehouse while musing a bit to herself. She also takes note of the camping store That camping store is exactly what I'll need once we make our way to the Wild Lands. I'll take a look in there later. Hopefully, things in there are nice and cheap...

Rex gives Kyosuke a curious look as he replies. "Eh...? What do you mean by that?"

OoC @Furioso: No, but I forgot to include a post for your mystery person. >.< I've edited my previous post to include a reply.

"Alright then. One moment." the receptionist at the Fourside labs said as he picked up the phone and informed Lucia that Rita and Loki had returned. Hanging up, the receptionist looked back to Rita. "She'll be with you shortly."

Three minutes later, Lucia entered the lobby. "You've been sucsessful, I hear?" she asked, sounding rather tired.

When the elite picked up Rookie by the throat and used him as a human shield, the soldiers stopped firing and began taking aim more carefully. The young man, however, grinned as his laser wheel returned to him like a boomerang. As he had thrown low earlier, the laser wheel flew towards the elite's legs.

Ness would find nothing noteworthy about the warehouse. It made of stone, with a roof made of aluminium plates. Although the doors to the warehouse was closed, there were no one outside it, indicating nothing of great importance was stored inside.

 

[Drakmorg]

If that's the case, that structure I saw on the mountain is now worth much more of a look-see. No telling if it's related or not until I check it out. "Well, while you look for him, I'll be off then. I've got some ruins of my own to explore." Jessica said to Noel. She started walking towards the river once again, taking out her visor and fiddling with the controls a bit as she did.

"Well, she's one that actually wanted to know where our powers came from... and how we acquired them."

Noel gave a small wave at Jessica as she decided to just relax. Charlotte had actually fallen asleep during the conversation.
