"Stay the night?" Jessica looked at the window and frowned at how late it had gotten. "Shoot! I wasn't intending to stay the night here." She said with a sigh. "Ah well, may as well stay here again if you'll have me. Too late to start moving again now. Anyway, don't feel like you're prying or anything." Feels kinda nice to talk about mundane things from time to time.

"So what kind of job do you have?" Ashley asked, now thoroughly curious.

Lyra nods, staying quiet. She slowly headed back to the city limits, snaking out into the tree libe, to a place off the beaten path. There, Marcus worked rewiring one of his smart discs. "almost got it working. Just another few centimeters..." the smartdisc's blades spun several times, and Xyleena clapped at the accomplishment, her hands making a dry clapping noise. "what took you so long luv? Found a good boat to snatch, once we're sure the claymore's laser is all ready. Xyleena's about to poke around for some food. That leaves you with doing the song and dance with the clanger's onboard comp." "ah, some arsehole accused me of stabbing a hotel girl. Least we know the idiot troupe we've been following werehere. Hopefully Sav's keeping them in order. The dumb git seemed to believe I killed people for fun or something. Only animals, honestly." Marcus burst out laughing, and Lyra took a seat, communicating through her bracer to the clanging claymore, setting it up for the orbital strike it'd need to do during the heist.

Jessica smiled graciously at Felina before her attention was brought back to Ashley. "Oh, well, like I told your mother, I design and occasionally test prosthetic limbs." She replied, keeping up the detail she had given Felina when asked the same thing.

"That's cool. Some people here have prosthetic limbs. Even eyes. So you do that kind of work?" Ashley asked.
"Okay, sweety, we should be going to bed." Felina said, standing up. "You can talk more later."
"Oh, right. Good night, Jessica." Ashley said as she left to go to bed.
"You're welcome to stay the night. Just make yourself at home." Felina said as she began to walk to her room.

orbital strike

I'm gonna say no orbital strikes. That's one reason space travel is forbidden. If Legaia could use these, there would be no war. And I've already stated that they have the ability to enter space, but they simply can't exit the atmosphere due to interference with their systems.

The robed figure wandered back to the altar, and noticed something slightly different; there was now a horned man on top of it.
"Uh... hello?"
The figure cautiously approached Hellosh, then noticed the blood.
"Oh... oh dear."
Two hands raised, and pressed down on Hellosh's neck. The figure's eyes began to turn green, then slowly shut. Green light pulsed underneath the figure's hands, washing over Hellosh's wound.

"Alright. Goodnight you two. And thanks again!" Jessica called to Felina and Ashley as they went off to bed. She quietly sat in the living room for a while, staring out the window at the night sky. Best get moving tomorrow. I've got my work cut out for me in trying to end this war....I wonder if I could really rely on any of the displaced folk to help? Sighing, she got up and went to the same guest room she had stayed in before. She fell asleep on the bed, barely able to get her mind to shut down long enough for her to do so.

This place... is my tomb.

So Charlotte thought as she and Lorella reached the bottom floor. The anti-virus had vented completely out as the doors opened and both of them stepped out. The infected... No, those driven mad with the Void and the Koltanium poisoning, their bodies laid scattered about the dead world ship, as their bodies slowly started to evaporate, no longer able to sustain itself naturally. As they both looked into the artificial skies, they saw several ships bearing the UNC military emblem started to merge with the ceiling membrane.

"We... We probably will be incarcerated. I saw the files. This was an experiment by the UNC." Lorella said.

As drop ships started to descend to the two Vanguards, Lorella gripped her rifle and sword at the ready. Charlotte followed suit as well.

UNC soldiers started filing out of the drop ships as they raised their rifles, pointing out of instinct at the two. Strangely, their weapons and armor didn't find the normal UNC guard members but a more sleek and polished feel surrounded them. As if they had seen this before.

"Drop those weapons Vanguards."

Lorella simply thew her rifle and sword to the ground infront of the soldiers as she walked towards them, being carted away. Charlotte double took a look at her, only to see Lorella on a stretcher being carted away. She sent her last thoughts before passing out. They are...

"Drop that weapon Ensign..." boomed a voice behind the soldiers. A white noise was radiating in Charlotte's head as she saw a power armored figure with a Koltanium scimitar. Another Vanguard. Commander.

"Drop it now... You had survived The Awakening... And how does it feel?"

Charlotte's eyes widened slightly. The Awakening. A test to strength the resolve of a Vanguard and/or Warden. No... They knew that... Was this mission just a... This event was just forged by the UNC High Commander for... For.

"What is the exact meaning of this?" Charlotte's voice raised.

"As a Vanguard, we knew exactly what we had embedded into your heads. We calculated this placing fielding over and over again. You landed here on a mission to do whatever. Confronted with some basic urges of humanity you continued to press on, finding more and more of humanities..-"

Charlotte collapsed on her knees. He was less or more reciting what happened. She tried to cry, but no tears. No... They knew... They controlled me from the beginning... I just... I need...

"... Is that not correct Ensign?"

"... No. All of the information is correct Commander."

The Commander smiled. "And now you know. Humans... Pathetic creatures are we. Conflict without control leads to things like this. We had run this mission scenario over hundreds of times. Populating world ships and letting chaos reign. It is in our very nature to be chaotic and yet are we born of creatures of order. Contradictions, always! Just like we are. This tradition happened as we knew at the end of the Rift War, there would be survivors of the Last Battle. We prepared you people for the worst. And here you go. So how does it feel Ensign? To be broken down?"

The Commander frowned and started to walk closer to Charlotte. "I repeat Ensign, and follow my orders. How does it feel?"

Charlotte woke up, remembering (almost) everything that had appeared on the Pandemonium... She sat up, looking extremely confused as pain spiked up her right side as she started spitting out blood. Noel woke up to her pain and walked over to her, checking up.

Kyosuke entered the town thing of Rockbyrd, growing more and more agitated at the sight of Icarus' house and the rest of the town.

Loki sat in the lobby of the hotel, looking at the place where the corpse of the receptionist had laid.

Kyosuke would find the front of Icarus' palace destroyed, as if the building was hit by a bomb.

Kyosuke ignores the destroyed bit of Icarus' palace and decides to head towards the mines, also looking out for any scrap big pieces of cloth.

Kyosuke would find the etrance to the mines on a hill behind Icarus' palace. He would find no scrap laying around, and the only big pieces of cloth were the ones tha hung infront of the windows of various houses in Rockbyrd. Several miners gave Kyosuke a somewhat disapproving look at he looked around, as events in the past had left them less then welcoming of strangers.
