Turning to face the driver's seat where Ness was sitting, she asked, "So where're we going?" Catching a glimpse of Tao sleeping nearby, she added, her tone much less pleasant, "And why's she coming along?"

"Rabbits don't put up much of a fight. They make fine meals though." the man said as he gestured toward the rabbits by the fire. He moved over to them, taking his eyes off of Rex for a moment.

@Salt: Group's basically headed to check out the ruins, but other than that, nope.
Ness turns back to Jess to reply. "Valcheirn. The group wanted to see the ruins." Turning to the napping Tao and noting Jessica's hate, Ness shrugs. "She wanted to come along as well." "Don't worry, I won't let the 'psycho' drive us off a cliff." She adds, in an annoyed tone.
Turning to Tedd, she smiles a bit more. "Me? I come from a world named Terra. How about you?"

Rex looks over at the roasting rabbits and nods. "I see... So you're just hunting stuff. ...Seems like you're really old-timey, dude. What's your name?"

"John Marston. Not sure what you mean by 'old-timey.' I'd say I'm a product of my time more than anything else." said as he set about tending to the rabbits.
"Nice to meet you, Brooke." Jessica replied to Brooke, sounding as sincere as she could while still feeling somewhat disgruntled. She nodded at what Ness said, while crossing her arms. "I don't see what's so wrong about being concerned for everyone's safety. I really don't think it's a good idea to keep her around. She'll probably wind up being arrested over that whole crash incident." She replied to Ness.
Hearing Tedd, she nods a bit. "I see... Could you elaborate a little more on 'Paranormal Coverups' please?"
Ness sighs a bit toward Jessica. "I'm not going to abandon someone, even if they will indeed get arrested for something. If she does endanger people again, I'll stop her. End of story."

Turning back to the driver's seat, she addressed Ness, "So, you're going to try and defend her from an entire nation...for something she's guilty for. Why?! What possible reason do you have for defending her?" Please don't tell me that guy was right about those two...
She glared at Tedd, her ears twitching atop her head a few times. "Oh so what, you're saying cats are all dangerous idiots? Is that what you're saying?! Because if that's what you're saying, say it again to my damn face!" She had no clearly crossed over from quiet anger into loud anger.

Rex stared blankly at the rabbits until Sav popped in. He turns to answer him, slightly surprised. "Uh... they went off to check out those ruins the Doc was talking about." Turning to John, he shrugs. "Yeah, he's new... I guess."

Ness' demeanor gets a bit icy as she turns back toward Jessica, eyes narrowed. "Jessica... CALM. DOWN. There's no need to lash out at us like that... even if that was a bit of a racial generalization Tedd made."
She sighs a bit before continuing. "As for why I'm defending Tao, it's because everyone seems willing to just throw her under the bus. I understand that her actions did kill someone, but her intent honestly wasn't to kill anyone. you and I both know that she wouldn't want to do that. Calling her a 'psycho' assumes the exact opposite, basically sizing her up with the likes of Yukino,[small] that amoral *****... [/small] Tao isn't a cold-blooded murderer, so she doesn't deserve to be treated like one."

Rémy wandered around Lakewest, until he found himself outside the main military building. He opened the door and looked around inside.
Tedd looked Jessica in the face, "No, cats are actually rather clever, but Tao reminds me of a curious kitten: Always getting into things and accidentally knocking things over. Fully Developed cats are actually rather clever, animals, though they don't get human culture... You didn't take that as an insult to you, did you?"
