The first time Rita bashed on the goat's head with a rock, it was knocked onconscious, but it still made gurgling noises and writhed subconsciously. With the second bash, a loud crack was heard its the side of its skull was cracked. With a third hit, a stream of blood squirted Rita in the face as the goat's skull was caved in, pieces of brainmatter sticking to the bloodied stone Rita held. While dead, the corpse of the goat still spasmed weakly. The corpse of the goat burning, the smell of scorched fur and flesh filled Rita's nostril, as the flames had burned away the skin and began scorching fat and muscle tissue.

"So, you won't or can't give a description on any of these people then." the soldier remarked, then hmm'd. "So, what happened after you lot killed Icarus? You mention this dog beastkin initially stole the ship?" he asked Grace.

Tao was escorted back to her cell, the barrier raised once she was inside. Then, she soldier who had escorted her left toget her food and water.

"You there, hold it!" one of the soldiers commanded as Tedd approached the gates of the compound, which was still on high alert. "Not a step further." he added, pushing Tedd back slightly, then took on a less authorative stance. "Anyway, what was this person you're looking for wearing?"

Meanwhile, four other soldiers left the main building, carrying two body bags. The lifted what remained of the soldiers who were torn apart by the swords into the body bags and carried them in to the building, bringing them to the morgue.

Looking through Rookie's backpack for an object matching the description, the soldier retrieved the datapad, then Tophat itself. And... I am now looking at the 'magical artifact' I assume?
