Making the logical leap that the slits in Tao's jacket were for some sort of clawed weapon he produced large claws out of them and launchedhimself itself at the soldier with alarming speed, intending to eviscerate him.

Notifying the rest of the compound of the security breach, the soldier couldn't react in time and dodge Envy's attack. While he jumped back, it was moments too late, and Envy sliced through the soldier, leaving deep gashes in the man's abdomen. The soldier fell to the ground, dropping his sword. Clutching the wound, the soldier began to scramble back, gasping in pain.
Having been notified, a squad of fifteen soldier began making their way towards the cell block.

Wasting no time, Envy dove back inside the hole, using one arm (tentacle now) to grab the soldier by the throat and drag him back in the hole with it, while strangling the soldier. Reaching through the hole in the cell as he moved it grabbed Tao and pulled her into the hole, pushing her ahead of him it.

Tao was awoken by the sudden commotion and looked around, very confused. "H-hey what's going on around here, meow?" she asked no one in particular.
Being in no state to fight back, Envy swiftly squeezed the life out of the soldier.
The squad arived at the cell block and made their way towards Tao's cell where they found the puddle of blood left from where the soldier fell, and the hole in the ground made by Envy. "Flush her out! Don't let her escape!" the soldier leading the squad commanded. Three soldiers stepped forward, sheathing their swords and holding out both their hands towards the hole as they gathered power, needing to do so since the area didn't lend itself well for what they attemped to do.

"I'm your guardian angle, meow! I'm saving you! Now go that way and keep going that way until you get to the guys with the machines, meow. And don't go back to the spell people...meow!" said Tao-Envy as he set Tao down, allowing her to move on her own. As he did this he let the corpse go behind him, and he started collapsing the tunnel behind him as he started walking backwards through the tunnel.
"Um...okay...meow." Tao said as she did as she was told.

OoC: @Outis, closing a loose end, he would have seen that the real Tao was still in the cell, and could have said that before he died.
Envy, who had just been closing the tunnel to prevent being followed, was shocked to see water start to fill the tunnel, but wasn't too concerned as he continued to close the tunnel on his way out. The dead body of the guard would eventually come back to the soldiers.

When the corpse of the soldier Envy killed floated back towards the hole in the cell block, one soldier pulled the corpse out and checked for a pulse, fimding none. Sighing, the soldier moved the corpse aside for the time being.
The three soldiers continued to fill the tunnel with water, but stopped momentarily when the corpse was pulled out, and continued afterwards. Once there was a amount of water in the tunnel to make it reach up to the ankles of those inside it, assuming they stood, another soldier stepped towards the hole and kneeled down before it. The soldier drew his sword, which was crackling with electricity, and dipped the electrified sword into the water, electrifying the water also.

With the water levels being stopped by Envy's collapse of the tunnel, Envy continued on. Once he exited the tunnel he would retreat into the wilderness, changing to his default form when safe.
OoC: Barring anything else happening, Tao has been freed. Hopefully we can move past that plot point now.
