OOC: @Nail: I'm gonna say Tao is safe, since Envy had already been collapsing the tunnel behind him and Tao, so there would be very little, if any, water around her.

Tao would be walking for some time.

OoC @Silver: Please don't acknowledge Gear in the thread. Not in any way.

After waiting for five minutes to see if anything would float up towards the entrance of the tunnel in the cell block, the soldiers condenced the water back into moisture in the air.

"I want two men to go down there and look for any bodies. The rest of you, back you your posts. I'll have someone pick up the body of our collegue." the leader of the squad stated. Doing as told, two soldiers entered the tunnels, while the rest returned to their posts.

Eventually Tao got out of the tunnel and headed in the direction she hoped was the "L" nation.

Tao wandered around quite aimlessly for some time before she happened to find Marston, who was also riding around outside of Lakewest.

"Um, hi. Could you tell Tao how to get away from the lake city, meow?" Tao asked, being a little reassured by the fact that Marston had guns, and so probably wasn't an "X" person.

"You wanna head south of her miss. That way." Marston said, pointing her in the right direction.

"Thanks! And...could you find some people in Laketown and tell them something from me?" Tao then asked. After Marston nodded, Tao asked him to find Ness, or possibly Jessica, and explain that she was heading south and some other things to tell the two.

"I'll be sure to take care of that as soon as I can, miss." Marston said with a curt nod.

"Thanks! Thanks a whole lot guy, meow!" Tao said with a grin before she rushed off to the south.

Marston scratched at his neck for a few moments before riding toward Lakewest.

Making her way south along the shore of he lake, Tao would eventually see the hotel towers of Pewtercove in the distance. Walking further south, more of the town and its modern buildings came into view.

"Alright, computer, Scramble memory."

"Ah... Good... Okay, lets see... Can't remember most of it now, but I veughly remember some stuff. Good, it's funner that way."
He slowly gets up, streaching for a bit, before walking vegue in the direction of Fourside.
"Computer, Access database, locate the file on Marston, Tao, Trilbywill, Loki, Echo, Erica, Envy, and Xenomorphs. Also, locate someone along the name of Lucia or something in the city of Fourside, along with the rough size of it and any place that sells egg-rolls."

He looks at the tablets database, skimming through the summaries of each person, "Lets see... Trilbywill brings up the mad hatter, and something about a mall of some sort with tons of fighting, along with the basic design for a Respawn Matrix, Tao brings a game and a chineze chain in Fourside, Echo and Envy brings up the definition of their words, and... Damnit, WHY ARE THERE SO MANY ERICAS!"
He finishes reading the database, "Computer, scramble memories."

Scrambling... Scrambling... Complete.

Tao decided to avoid the first town she saw, assuming it would be far too close to the place she was wanted in to safe. Instead she kept heading south.

By going in a beeline south, Tao would have no luck finding any other towns. She would first move through a patch of forest, then hear the sound of waves crashing against the shore, this sound becoming increasingly loud, indicating that she was nearing the sea.

Trilby woke up under his bench and crawled out.
"Yet another adventurer with a dislike of proper bedding. Perhaps I'm missing something."
Trilby looked up at Brooke.
"Slumming it does wonders for your skin. Makes it nice and tough. Especially when you have a nap in a park during a blizzard." he grinned.
"I shall take your word for it." Brooke replied.

Tao vaguely remembered a town full of beastkin somewhere in the general area (Holdino). Unfortunately, she didn't know how to get there. She decided to take her chances in Pewtercove and ask for directions there.

"A beastkin town? I assume you mean Holadino, as there are more beastkin there then elsewhere. It's south-east of here." the person Tao spoke to said, pointing to the general direction of Holadino. "If you can't find it right away, look for the river and follow it."

Tao thanked the person and went in the direction that was intended.

Marston approached the entrance of Lakewest.

 

[Kirke]

The Rookie wandered up to the mountain to Winterhorn, having stopped and rested for a bit during the night.

OoC: And back again.

After some walking, Tao would find herself near the riverbank.

Climbing the mountain, Rookie was greetet by the guard standing at the gates of Winterhorn. "What's the password?" he asked.

Tao tried to find the city.

Marston entered Lakewest, unless he was hindered at all.

Should she head north following the river, the town of Holadino would come within sight.

Marston could enter Lakewest without any difficulty.

Tao entered the town, then wondered what she could do at that point.

Marston made his way to a hotel and tied his horse up. He then started asking around for Jess or Ness

Tophat searched the guard's mind for the password, then made him think the Rookie said it.

The guard felt an odd sensation in his mind when Tophat searched through it, looking for the password. Not being able to put his finger to what was wrong, he put the feeling feeling aside and nodded once he was made to believe Rookie has stated the correct password. "You may pass." he said, stepping aside.

The majority of the civilians Marston spoke to answered in the negative when asked if they knew or had seen either Ness or Jessica. It was difficult to tell this was because they genuinely didn't know, or because they didn't want to deal with Marston, however. This would repeat itself for some time until Marston spoke to a woman leaving the hotel.

"A cat beastkin with black ears, wearing a white coat, you say?" she asked, looking in thought. "Hmm. I think I saw her enter that cheap inn over there. The Spice Rack, it's called, I think." she asnwered, pointing towards the Spice Rack.

 

[Kirke]

The Rookie nodded to the guard then walked in, and headed for the main tower at a brisk pace.
