Glancing over at Marston, she replied, "I guess I shouldn't turn down help with something like this."

Several Xiphatian soldiers enter the dining room. Some stay at the door while others go around the room and begin speaking to several people.
On steps to Vanessa. "We're going to take you back for questioning, now."

Soto wasn't in the main lab. But there were a few GRUNTs about the room.

Tao was there when she was rescued in Fourside. They actually talked to each other, briefly. Also, if you didn't think they knew each other, why mention her? And she has been to Holdino before.Saltyk said:

Jessica's ears drooped and she became visibly nervous when the soldiers came in. She glumly waved to Ness, then sat up straight and asked the soldier, "That's my friend you're bringing in. Can I follow along and wait for her?"

One of the soldiers approached the leader and whispered to him. He looked at Vanessa and the others. "That won't be necessary. They should come along, too. We want to confirm your whereabouts after all." He looked to Jessica. "I was going to insist upon it..."

"I think you will find that to be untrue. Now, leave before you are arrested. We're bringing in the prime suspect, soon." The receptionist replied.

The GRUNT looked at Envy. His eyes looked unnaturally blue. "The Professor is down a level. He's looking over some recent... hatchlings..."

Ness just silently nodded toward the soldier. They'll be able to confirm my alibi if nothing else, since they were all there at the bar last night. ...This works out a lot better for me than I thought.

Fecl hears Tiberius say that he kills people... And grows darker, the tenticals growing larger, like a cloud around him, his eyes so angry... So mad...
