@Outis: Because chasing dangerous criminals is not a suitable activity for bringing children along, so Echo and Holly are getting dropped off there so the adults can go chase Taokaka.

After doing so, he placed himself in whatever spot he could go to be as far away from the other soldiers as possible. After sitting down, he reached into his robe and pulled out a tome with a pitch dark cover. He idly flipped through the book and read it as he ate.
