Ness looked back toward Dal'sheen and waved with a small smile. "Hello Dal. It's been... way too long. Where have you been?"

Rex followed Holly and Echo. "Yo. Ness and Jess have something they need to do, so I'm gonna watch over you two, kay?"

As she had jumped in the portal, she didn't hear Bertie.

Yukino just gave Black a mocking hurt look. [color=bb66bb] "Oh dear...! You figured me out! Whatever shall I do!?" [/color] She smirked a bit toward Black. [color=bb66bb] "Aw, you're still no fun..." [/color]

@Outis: Because they just blindly followed without asking why the portal was made to go there in the first place, I guess?

Jessica didn't seem particularly startled by Bryce appearing right next to her, and instead just raised an eyebrow at him showing up again. "Well, I gotta go say goodbye and gather up some lemmings before we move on. So you can either stay here right now on follow me through." She said to Bryce. "That depends. Does chasing after dangerous, cold-blooded killers appeal to you?" Leaving Bertie with that, she hopped through the portal as well.

Bryce grinned at her statement to Bertie, and hopped through the portal for a second time. "My place shall be at your side, boss lady. Until command calls me back, anyway."

"Okay then Rex, I don't mind" Holly said with a smile.

Black just sighed and lowered her head. "Your annoying sometimes, you know that right?"

"I was held back by my colleagues. I needed to work on inspecting other worlds. The judgement for the book describing this world has already been called by them. It's been locked down to only me and the original author. Meaning they've allowed me to study it for as long as I wish."

Bertie thought for a moment, pulled out his enchanted GOLDEN SWORD OF JUSTICE! and charges after Jessica, "TALLY HO!" he shouts, chasing after Jessica.

"That seems unlikely. We don't have any mice running around that need catching." The guard retorted.

The soldiers all stop to look at Nybeth. Some of them whispering about him.

Envy would find the door incredibly tough and it makes no budge despite his efforts.

Ooc: Did Anyone at the college know they were coming?

Echo nodded and smiled to Rex.

Marston looked around, more than a little confused.

"Let the boss tell me he doesn't need me, meow." Tao demanded with a small frown.

OOC: Well...Things are looking increasingly bad for Tao...

Ness nodded toward Dal before following Echo and Holly. "I'm glad to hear that you've got more time to research here. We could use your assistance after we finish what we need to.."

She gave each one of the girls a hug. "I'll see you guys soon. Try not to give Rex too much trouble, alright?"

Yukino giggled. [color=bb66bb] "Well, yes. We already established that we tend to tick each other off right?." Not really. [/color]

"Thank you."
He made a deep breath from the cold frothy air.
"What's happening here in Winterhorn that's piqued our group's interest?"

"Too much trouble." Echo said with a sly smile.

Holly returned the hug. "It'sss okay Missss Vanesssa, were take good care of Rex!" She said smiling.

"I don't see how I tick you off" Black replied to Yukino. "Or you just jealous?" She asked jokingly, raising an eyebrow.

Ness shook her head as she started to look around for Marston. "Honestly, the only point of this was to bring Echo and Holly somewhere safe while I and a few others chased after someone a bit dangerous. ..I honestly don't know why the others followed us in..."

She giggled toward both Echo and Holly's responses.

Rex just shrugged again.

Yukino gave Black a curious look. [color=bb66bb] "What exactly would I be jealous of?" [/color] She said, a bit defensively.

@Salty: Not really. Jessica hadn't thought to bother telling anybody since no one's had a problem with her coming and going as she pleased before.

Jessica stood up in front of everyone who had jumped through the portal she had made. "Alright. So I should probably explain to those of you who don't really have much of an inquisitive nature. We're here at Winterhorn to make sure we don't do something as incredibly irresponsible as bringing children along to chase an escaped convinct. So if you want to help catch a criminal, follow me through this next portal. If not, just stay here or something because I don't really care what you do." She pulled out a piece of chalk from her coat and started idly twirling it around in her left hand.

Nybeth either didn't notice, or didn't care about the soldiers looking at him and whispering about him. Either way, he didn't pay them any mind as he continued eating and reading.

 

[Furioso]

After Envy calmed down a bit, he disguised himself as Roy and started heading over to Holadino

 

[Slenn]

"I'm just following so that I don't get separated again and have to retrace my steps. Who is this dangerous person anyway?"

 

[Saltyk]

Anna walks up to the group. "Just what have we here?" She asks, confused.

"Fine. Wait here a moment, beast." The guard said, walking into the building, leaving Tao there for the time being.

Marston grimaced, but stayed silent as he waited for the next portal to be ready, though he was dreading it.

Echo took Holly's hand and started running toward the cafeteria.

Tao grinned in victory.

Ness continued as she stepped away from the two girls toward Jessica. She lowered her voice quite a bit. "You remember Taokaka, correct? She's the one we need to find. She's... killed two people: one in by crashing an airship... and another while breaking herself out of jail."

Turning to Anna, Ness shook her head. "We were just dropping a few people off."

Rex ran behind the two girls as they headed toward the cafeteria. If anything, I get to chill after that last op... More than welcome.
