While the textbooks I've looked at have said that it's at least 20,000 years old from dating, it's said it's been inconclusive as to what civilization it corresponds to. Are there any archaeological texts regarding cities or civilizations at around that time?"

"I don't think we'll have time for that. I think the group I'm with will be leaving soon. They don't really like sticking around long. Are you sure there aren't any books that aren't too complex to read? I can read, its just, not, well not well at all really."
In actuality, Noel is changing the heat of vaporization constants of water to fit her movements. (Water only into the states of gas and liquid) In addition, she can manipulate the bonds between oxygen and hydrogen atoms in water to move around. Unfortunately, its not exactly lethal if say she was to make the water into a spear like projection. She would more likely extremely dehydrate the target, making their body lurk forward and thrown up due to the sudden lack of water.

The book Echo picked up next spoke of the effects of Speed Enhancing magic and how it affected the body.
"Umm. I'm not sure..." The student answered Dal'Sheed. "'Ey, Frank." he then called out to another student.

"Yes, those would be in the miscelanious section."
The book Rookie picked out told of the construction of hovering vehicles, made to float using the roughly same magic that kept the secondary tower afloat.
The page Ness read told of an instance where three intoxicated Xiphatian soldiers dared eachother to use a Legaian laser rifle that had been recovered from the battlefield for studies and had yet to be dismanteled. As the soldier who picked up the rifle pulled the trigger, instead of fire, it exploded. While the man was lucky to survive the blast, it had blown his arms off, as well as schorched his body, most severely in the chest and face. While healers were relatively quick to arive, the damage done to his eyes proved difficult to heal, leaving him with impaired vision. After suffering the penalties for disbobeying orders, the soldier continued to serve, using Sensory magic to make up for the impaired vision.

@Gear: Its a very limited Waterbending I suppose. (No lethal waters blades of death, but bloodbending... definitely)
As the helmet sealed around Noel's head, the sensors picked up the rustling noises. Ending her practice as the water froze and fell to the ground, Noel gripping her head again, shaking off the feeling of tiredness. Knowing that pulling out her pistols would be frowned upon, she walked over and slapped one of the trees with her armor. Not hard but enough to make its virberate for a second.
Tao barged into the cafeteria and started running around looking for food.

There was some more rustling, then a snap, then an "Eep!", then someone fell out of the tree, landing on the ground facedown and with a large, bushy tail with frazzled fur standing straight up in suprise. She groaned and got up, moving into a seated position and rubbing her head.

"Well... this looks promising." He said with no sarcasm. He opened a book on past civilizations to see if he could find a candidate.

Noel tilted her head at the strange humanoid creature. "Climbing trees isn't exactly safe... But I'm at fault for hitting the tree." She extended her hand out to help the squirrel girl up.
