Cynane spun round in surprise to face Dal'Sheed, instinctively keeping a hand on her bandolier to stop it from clinking.
"Damn right I am! I've only seen a handful of books in my life!" She exclaimed, grinning. "They're so rare where I come from, and very valuable too! Too see them stacked up in such...walls as these, well, its.. its a lot to take in." She finished simply, hands on her hips and nodding as she restrained herself. Still, the grin remained.

"...I'm not making a very good first impression, am I?" Makoto gave off a small, bitter chuckle. "I'm sorry to hear you're stuck here too. Where is this group of yours? I'm sure we can all find ways back to our homes if we work together."

Saya picked up her stuff and left the fire to burn out, she walked around the Magical school a bit lost, she was mostly admiring the buildings.

That was when it was renamed to Asha-Keep." Jessica declared. She tilted her head curiously again as Sable's name sunk in. "Sir Sable? You mean like that holographic tour guide?...Wait a minute." She paused as she worked over the situation in her head. "Oh my gosh! It is you! You wouldn't know me sir, but I am a big fan! My people owe you so much!" She excitedly declared. Jessica quickly became so giddy and excited that she had a hard time simply standing still.

@Random: Sorry, should have gone into more detail. The group was almost burned to death, but then Savranth and some other lady calmed down Mr. fire-britches and it was k.

Ness looks down at Echo and nods. "Oh... Hopefully, we can find something of more interest to you then... and yes, if you can find any books about magic or things like that, could you let me see them? Something I read about magic and technology that seems worth delving into further. I'd appreciate the help."

As she nears the librarian, Ness smiles back. "Good afternoon, ma'am. Could you point me in the direction of any books that might tell about the history of magic here? I need more information for an experiment I wish to conduct."

Yukino's smiles increased as she calmly spun her blade in front of her like a fan, acting as a vacuum for Blake's magic. His flames wrapped around her blade as she launches a crescent fireball at him. [color=bb66bb] "Return to sender~!" [/color]

Lyra shook a bit, and steadied. She looked over to the librarian, and headed over to her. She calmly waited until the librarian was done talking to the others before asking her the location of miscellaneous.

Makoto folowed Noel. "Of course. And I guess that the password wouldn't be bacon, unless the guard is a bit hungry."

"Books about magic." Echo said with a nod as she took Ness' hand and slightly pulled her back toward where she had put her magic book down.

"We make our books for the same reasons. Every one holds information to help people to live their lives. And the help is important. Farming is complicated and people have to share information to grow enough to eat. Explorers scout the lands to show us the places that are safe to settle, and the places that are too dangerous for anyone but hunters and soldiers to venture into. And of course, there are many books on hunting. On the subject of weapons and armour and how best to craft them, monsters and the ways they live. The ways in which we can survive in the wild." She looked at the title of the book in her hand, a collection of myths and legends.

"To use them to write stories in. Bedtime tales like this... it seems so wasteful. These stories are precious to us, but they can be told by our words and our songs. To kill an Anteka and use its skin to write on... well, its a waste."

@Drak: I was kinda expecting that to be honest. You did say that it was slightly related to Four, but not really.

Noel let out a small chuckle. "... My son would have said 'bacon'... Even my husband would have agreed with bacon."

The two started traveling up the mountains as it started to get cold.

"Yes, there is." The librarian answered Rita, turning to her uponbeing adressed. "That would be the ground floor in the main tower. There might be a couple of students currently present there, but they shouldn't give you any trouble."

Upon being addressed by Ness, the librarian turned to her. "The history of magic... Yes, that would be in the section detailing magic in the floor above us. You can get there using the same means you did to enter, or simply take the stairs."

As Rookie reached the top floor, came out at a fairly long hall. While the doors to the left and at the end of the hallway are closed, the one to the right was open, it was through here the head mistress' office was. She was currently taking notes.

As the fireball was returned to him, Blake was surrounded by flame. When the fireball hit this barrier, it was absorbed by it. "You think you're real funny, huh?" he called out, sounding bemused. A moment later, the barrier began spinning around, rather then just flaring upwards, then movin towards Yukino, leaving Blake himself unharmed when the flams passed him.
