Ness smiled a bit at the cubs that came nearby and giggled to herself as they scampered off. As the Argonian rappelled down to meet the group, Ness was a bit taken aback by his gaze and couldn't help but look a bit unnerved. Still, she shook off the feeling before giving him a curtsy in response to his greeting. "Nice to meet you, Captain Teren. I'm Vanessa Sinclair. ....May I ask what the Dragonborn's Oath is?" A mixture of her curiosity and fear of the captain led her to blurt that last part out a little hurriedly.

"How many days is a few days ago?" Athena asked.

"How did you enjoy the sights at Lakewest, miss?" Tiberius added.

"I'd like to find Athena or Tiberius, please." Marston said polity.

OOC: ...Yup. Doing it. Initiating first person mode in 3...2...1...GO.

Flashing lights, most of them red. Always a good sign. Computerized voice talking about malfunction this, hull breach that, impact imminent. Again, really reassuring. Pilots are doing everything they can, but I'm about out of hope at this point. Looking around, seems I'm not the only one. Ship says impact with unknown planet will be in 5 min-*ship crash*

The sky over Yukino lights up as something bursts through the upper most atmosphere. A plummeting object becomes visible, then starts to slowly descend, heading to the south.

Yuki blinks a bit before putting her hand to her chin. "...So that wasn't an attack on me was it? ...May as well check to see that that person's alright. ...Maybe I can try to better myself... Yeah.. maybe..." She unenthusiastically muttered to herself before dashing full force toward the area where the object would land.

"Well, if the gas is sealed correctly it should last long enough... at least I would think so." said Rita
Maria thought for a moment "Hmmm, I would say about 5 days ago. And Lakewest was very nice."

OoC: @Nail, fixed, thanks

"I believe they are both busy at the moment. Can you tell me what this is about?" The receptionist asked.
"Five days ago in Lakewest?" Athena said to herself, in thought. "Did he have anything with him at that time? Say, a book or something?"

Teren 'Sai bowed to Grace and Erica in turn, never taking his eyes off the group. As Grace moved back there was a creaking sound from the gatehouse parapets, the sound of several bowstrings being relaxed.

"The Dragonborn's Oath are hired as auxiliary guards to serve as the front line of defence should the College ever come under attack again." Casimir said for the benefit of the newcomers. "They're very capable men- or rather, Argonians, the entire force are Argonian. Used to be-"

"Cutthroats, rapists and murderers." Teren 'Sai cut him off. "When the Archmage first recruited Argonian guards almost two centuries ago, she recruited from prisons and bandit camps. Took in the worst scum of our kind. I can't say why, though knowing her, perhaps she sought to give them a chance at redemption. She needed a way to ensure their loyalty, so she organised them into ranks and aimed to turn them into an order steeped in tradition. The last Dragonborn was used to this effect. He was a legendary Argonian warrior, and one of the greatest heroes of our people It is his statue that you saw before the gatehouse. Legend had it that he swore an oath to protect this College even in death. Aside from the good pay, the bandits were actually more than pleased to be viewed as heroes like him. They took up his name, his armour, and learned to use the bow and sword as he did They called themselves the Dragonborn's Oath, and developed into a near religious vigil over the college. Today, few of us are descended from those original servants of the Oath, most having been drawn from elsewhere by our story, but all of us uphold the Dragonborn's promise to defend this castle as long as it needs to be defended."

"Fanatics." Septus muttered under his breath. Despite this Teren 'Sai heard him and fixed his gaze on him.
"Fanatics? We undoubtedly are, Septus Varon. But tell me, who is it that benefits from our fanaticism?"

Ness' eyes widened a bit at the captains tale. Her eyes shimmered with a bit of admiration for the hulking Argonian. Once she noticed the tension between one of her guides and the captain, her smile lessened a bit. "I see... That's quite an oath you and your comrades uphold... " She trailed off as she didn't know what else to say to the captain.

The ship, if it could be called that, would end up landing far to the south of Holdino, more near to the coast actually.

"I see. So five days ago you met Envy in Lakewest and he had nothing... Is that correct?" Athena asked for confirmation.

Casimir noticed Nesss uncertainty at the Captain's response to Septus and nudged her with his elbow.
"Don't make anything of that. The Captain is a... very intense personality, that's all. Most of the Oath guardsmen are. It comes with their position. None of them would ever turn on a mage of the College though."

Teren 'Sai nodded courteously in acknowledgement of Grace and Ness' compliments, though did not speak. He signalled up at the gatehouse.
"Keevah, take up my position." Turning back to Erica and Casimir he spoke again.
"I will go with you to the castle. It is not normal for the Archmage to send out so many summons as she has done. I wish to join you at her side, in honour of the debt that my ancestors and I owe to her."

"Then, it's odd that he was met here around that same time possessing a key to a ruins to the south of here. Don't you agree?" Athena answered.

Tiberius nodded. "Though, I must wonder how a dead man appears anywhere..."

OoC: @Salty, I was aiming for about a day or 2 before he showed up in Holadino, blame my bad memory for that, can I retcon it?

"Unfortunately, the gas I conjure is intended to fade over time. It's main application is in poisoning certain targets in a battlefield. Were the gas designed to linger, allies would be caught as well as the entire battlefield would be converted into a toxic wasteland as the gas spread." Nybeth chimed in to Rita and Loki.
Jessica was made somewhat uncomfortable by the Khajiit cubs openly pointing at her, especially so by them running off after what she assumed was them being scolded. She was about to introduce herself to the Captain when he went off with a speech about his order, then seemed to get into an argument with Septus, so she simply kept her mouth shut for the time being.

OoC: @Furi: Honestly, that's what I figured. It's less about the time, though the time even with a day or two is still an issue, technically, the lack of the key and the fact that Envy supposedly died is even more of an issue.
