Some time would pass until the worst of Erica's grief passed. Rising shakily to her feet, Erica dried her tears with her sleeve, bowed over the body of AEanna and gave a single soft kiss on the forehead. A wordless farewell. After this, Erica tenderly laid AEanna's left hand on her stomach, and her right hand over her left. Exhausted, emotionally more then physically, she stayed at the guest room in the college, not having the strength to make the trip to her home.

Jessica was initially startled by Ness' hugging her, but once the feeling had passed she hugged her back and buried her face in the fedora-clad girl's shoulder. Despite not having personally known AEanna, she still felt as if she had known her to some extent from reading what Four had read about her, leading her passing to hit her pretty hard. She cried on Ness' shoulder and let her friend do the same for a while, standing out in the middle of the hall adjacent to the Archmage's quarters with little desire to go anywhere else. Eventually she and Ness moved to sitting on some chairs, not caring to stand any longer. When Erica finally emerged, Jessica stood up, but did little else. Seeing Erica walk off, she simply followed her rough path, staying the night in the same guest rooms.
Tophat had not said anything during the tragic event, partially because it had no words for what happened and partially because it's greif was so great that it had to fully concentrate on keeping it within itself. Otherwise, it would have been enough to fill every person in the college with such sorrow that they would have lost the will to live. So Tophat stopped itself from talking with the outside world, but heard everything that was said.
Long night. Long and messy and awful. At lest it's done. I sigh. Twenty five dog tags jingling in my hand. That's all that's left I guess. That and the memories. And military records. Poor compensation in my book.
I see the animal girl sleeping near my ship. Wait...I worked all night. Huh. Oh, fox girl, if the ears and tail are anything to go by. Thanks Buddy. So smart. I try to enter the ship quietly to see about what kind of condition it's in.
Jessica was sitting on a bed in the guest rooms at Winterhold College. She was thumbing through the old-looking book she had shown Erica previously, and looked as though she had been doing that all night instead of getting any sleep, as she looked incredibly tired and her movements were sluggish.
Ness slowly rose up out of her bed in the guest room. She sighed and wiped her eyes, which were still a bit red from AEanna's passing and the fitful sleep afterward. Even if she hadn't known the mage in any other form aside from the book Jess had given her, she knew just how meaningful that AEanna was to people, especially her companions. She rubbed her eyes a bit as she waved weakily at Jessica. "...Good morning... Jessica, you don't.. look so good right now. Did you get any sleep?"

Not good. Not good at all. I do find a lot of equipment is undamaged. I find a visor in working order, which is good. I also find a working laser and shoulder holster. They never really interested me, puny little pen looking thing. But it can burn through a human torso in 6.5 seconds with armor, so I'm glad to have it. Walking outside I start taking some real scans of the planet. Well, Buddy does anyway.
"Not much. I think I nodded off for an hour or two at some point." Jessica glumly replied to Ness, only responding to her question and not her greeting or other comment. She didn't look away from her book as she spoke, instead just slowly flipping the page once more and keeping her tired and half-open eyes glued to it.

The Kid never did expect the joy would last to long. Spending time with 'ol pals on the Bastion never got old, serching for survivors, living off what they grew, waking up when the 'ol bull roars...

The Kid falls. Fallin' ain't his forte, but he was used to it...

The Kidd lands on a building, a roof of 'ol stone and wood, shame it can't take someone as tough as The Kid. He crashes through the wood handling, bashing his skull against the beams, fallin' through floor after floor, the final floor bearly broken through, the beams almost giving way. He lies there, out of it. Right below, he can hear two gals talking 'bout sleep.[hr]

Jessica began to tear up and start sniffling as she tried to keep reading her book. She held the open book in her right hand as she wiped her tears with her left sleeve. [small]"I shouldn't be crying like this...I barely even knew her...but I just can't help it..."[/small] She said in a quiet, almost weak sounding voice. She was startled out of her depression by hearing something crash through the roof and smash into the floor above the room she was in. She fell off the bed from jumping up as the noise gave her a start.
Ness' ears barely registered the crash a floor above her. She was more startled by Jessica's sudden jumping off the bed and a bit concerned about her crying. The fedora girl scratched the back of her head and looked up toward the noise, a bit annoyed. I don't care what happened... shouldn't people be a little more considerate of others mourning...? She turned to Jessica, still rubbing her eyes. "Should we check that out... or do you just want to keep reading?"
@Wacky: If the whole thing of the Dragonborn Oath thing didn't give you an indication Wacky, Kid falling in a lava pit would probably be safer than what you just did, I know you want to make a theatrical entrance, but also remember that you are messing with other people's stuff too. @Random: made it very clear how loyal those guys were, and smashing part of the building is not going to be taken lightly. On that end I have two midterms to study for so I can't play their part, but we don't want another Herobrine VS Galen event again. Just be mindful of your actions and the consequences, we don't want Kid killed as he enters right?
Just saying this because I know if Random was on, Kid would be in real doody right about now.

The Kid raises his head, looks around. It feels like he's looking through a fine haze, as he tries to get up... He can bearly feel his feet, can barely feel his arms...
He lies there, hear'in a mild groan from below, as the timbers begin to bend...
OoC: @Zeph: The Kid just caused a hole in the roof... Nothing THAT bad... And he's still pretty hurt.
