Ness nodded a bit as she entered the room and left the door open for Jess as she flopped onto her bed. "Well... Once this is over, I can finally get back to trying to find those keys... or maybe I should just try to help you out with your plan. I wasn't doing all that well before..."

Jessica entered the room after Ness, letting Erica and Valentine do whatever they wanted to. She sat down on the edge of her bed facing Ness. She hummed to herself a bit as she pondered how to answer her friend. I'm pretty sure trying to convince Vanessa that what I'm doing is necessary would be a lost cause... "Oh, you don't have to try and lend me a hand or anything. It's not like you'd get anything out of helping me anyway. You should just keep up your search. I'm sure you'll find what you're after eventually."

Ness just looked to the side toward Jessica for a few moments before sighing and nodding. She's been really tight lipped about what she's been doing recently. I'm a little concerned, but I shouldn't be obsessive about it. I can trust her, after all. "Right... I kept telling you to keep trying, right? Guess I should take my own advice for once." She remarked, smiling warmly toward her friend.

Jessica smiled back at Ness and chuckled a little. "Let me know what you turn up. I'm pretty interested in learning about those ruins too." She looked away from her friend and started glancing around the room, eventually settling her gaze on the ceiling for a moment as she leaned back slightly, clinging to the edge of the bed to keep from completely flopping over. "So..." She began, a hint of nervousness in her voice. She continued again after a few moments, "Should we talk about what happened last night any?"

Ness smiled a bit as she nodded in response to her friend's first statement. "Of course! Hopefully I won't have to deal with another one of those horse things..." After the pause, she looked over toward her friend for a few moments before shifting herself back into a sitting position. "Well... yes, I think we should talk about it..." She replied after awkwardly looking away for a few moments.

Jessica sat back up straight and looked over at Ness. As she began to speak however, she looked away and started scratching the back of her head. "Okay...so, um...you said you wanted to be 'a little closer to me'...w-what did you mean by that?" She asked, the signs of nervousness growing in her voice.

Ness looked down a bit and shifted a little in her seat. "Uh... well...." She started, then paused before continuing. "Well... I don't want to be... just friends. I want to be a little more than that. I mean, you've always there for me. I mean, when that link broke, you just teleported from whatever you were doing almost instantly. I was really happy when you came around like that... If you were willing to go to space to help me, then... I don't think we can just be friends, y'know...?" Ness said, still looking down, but smiling a small bit to herself.

"I-I know what you mean...and honestly, I feel the same way....It's just..." Jessica trailed off, sighing before redirecting her head to look at where the floor met Ness' bed. "It's just that...I-I don't know anything about that kind of stuff...until a couple of months ago I hadn't even had friends for 15 years...I don't know how to be anything other than 'just friends', I wouldn't know what to even do or how to act...I'm sorry, that must sound pathetic..." She stopped speaking as she started sniffling and wringing the fabric of her bed-sheets in her hands.

Ness noted Jess starting to sniffle and walked over to sit down next to her. "No... it's not pathetic... I've actually never been in a relationship either. Uh... that kiss yesterday... was my first ever...." She replied, still looking away for the moment. "Well... I'm sure we can come up with something... I wasn't sure of what to do after kissing you, to be honest." She continued, scratching the back of her head a bit and blushing in embarrassment.

Jessica continued to sniffle for a bit as she wiped one of her sleeves across her face in an attempt to wipe the tears that had started forming in her eyes. Looking over at Ness sitting next to her, she gave her a small smile and said, "Mine too." She looked down at the ground for a moment before returning her sight to resting on Ness. "Should...should we ask someone what we should be doing?" She asked, obviously embarrassed by the idea, but having little else to suggest.

Ness got a little more red faced before nodding a small amount. "...That... might be... the smartest thing to do... I don't think experimenting... is a good idea in this case." She replied, looking over toward Jess, still a little red faced.

"Okay then...that's just what we'll have to do." Jessica replied to Ness with a nod. She leaned closer to Ness and wrapped her arms around her in a hug. [small]"I just hope people actually take us seriously..."[/small] She quietly vocalized her worries at the moment.

Ness closed her eyes and returned the hug. Since they were pretty close together, she picked up on Jessica's whispering. [small] "Well... Yeah... Hopefully... Maybe we could ask someone we know already?" [/small] She responded.

Jessica sighed and closed her eyes as well as she continued to hug Ness. "I was thinking that's what we should probably do. I don't think asking random strangers about something like that would get us anywhere....I'm not really sure who all we know that would be good people to ask about that kind of stuff though..."

Ness continued to hug Jess as she mused to herself for a bit. "Well... I guess we could try and ask Lyra... but she's probably busy with all of this stuff. The only other person I know who's been in a relationship is Yukino... but we really shouldn't ask her... [small] She'll never let me hear the end of it... [/small] Other than those two... I'm not sure." She said, becoming a little less hopeful as she ran through the ideas in her head.

"Well if you think about it and look back, Lyra kinda got us here to begin with. So I guess we could try asking her first....We could also maybe try asking Miss Erica and her friend Valentine." Jessica suggested. She started to softly purr as she continued hugging Ness, as a sign that she enjoyed it.

Ness nodded a bit as she continued to hug Jess, smiling a bit to herself as she heard Jess purring. "Alright, hopefully she won't--" Wait... Lyra said she liked me... wouldn't asking her about this be like a slap to her face...? I... "Uh... like I said... she might be too busy to give advice, but we can try..." She responded, seeming a bit unsure of what she was saying.

Jessica opened her eyes and stopped purring as Ness stopping and seeming to change gears right in the middle of speaking threw her off a bit. "Well we don't have to pester her over it or anything. Just ask, and if she's too busy then she's too busy." She said, giving a small shrug while she kept holding Ness.

Ness sighed a bit and nodded, sounding more normal. "Right... right. I'll try at it tomorrow." She held Jess a little closer for as long as her friend wanted before going off to sleep.
