Jessica sighed pleasantly as she hugged Ness for a little while longer. She stopped when she let out a yawn and let Ness go to bed. Right before she fell asleep as well, Jessica heard Tophat's message. "Huh? Whozzis?...Also...yeah, I think so." She mentally replied, a mixture of tired feelings and not having 'spoken' to Tophat in a while making it so she didn't immediately recognize its mind-voice.

 

[Kirke]

(To Jessica: [sub][sub]It is Tophat. James will return home when he has recovered from his wounds, and I have created an advanced construction that will make it seem like it was all a dream to him. So with that done, I'm turning my focus to fixing this world. I left a stash of equipment in the Tanner, at Castlewood. Would you mind helping me retrieve it?[/sub][/sub]

 

[Drakmorg]

"...Huh? Oh! Uh...sure. I can help you out there. Give me a mo'." Jessica rather reluctantly climbed out of bed and got herself dressed again. "Sooo...where are you? I think I can probably zip down there right quick and send you on your way."

 

[Kirke]

(To Jessica: [sub][sub]I am in the Lakewest clinic.[/sub][/sub])

Jessica yawned as she walked out of the room so as to not disturb Ness while she slept. "Right then. I'll be there soon." After a short bout of yawning and stretching, Jessica disappeared in a flash of white light. Reappearing in Lakewest, she wandered around until she found the clinic. Assuming Tophat and the Rookie had stuck together, she asked to see the Rookie, and was pointed to his room, to which she went.

 

[Kirke]

The Rookie was lying in the bed, reading something on his datapad. He looked up at Jessica when she entered the room, and raised a hand in greeting. Tophat was on the table next to the bed.
(To Jessica: Teleporting is amazing. It never ceases to impress me.)
OoC: The Rookie is unclothed from the waist up, but has bandages over much of his torso.

Envy turned into a bug and crawled into the hole. He looked above the royal family and Ardimas to see if there were any hanging objects, such as a chandelier.

 

[Chungus]

Lining the ceiling of the abbey, there were a total of twelve chandeliers. They had frames made of mythril, on which several hundred worth of crystals hung. Above the candle holders, instead of candles, there floated multi-coloured balls of light, the lights being reflected by the crystal, making for a sparkling display. No chandelier was hanging directly above the royals, however.

Erica and Valentine were still in bed in the sleeping quarters.

 

[Furioso]

Rita was over at her training spot, practicing using her water spells to cut rock.

Envy crawled on the ceiling towards the Royal Family, as he crawled he looked for anything hanging over Ardimas specifically.

 

[Chungus]

Behind Ardimas, there hung a large gargoyle on the wall. Envy would find that Ardimas stood close enough to the wall that the gargoyle could harm him if it fell, even if it wouldn't land directly ontop of him.

 

[Furioso]

Envy began attempting to bore into where the gargoyle was hanging in order to weaken it's supports, but not enough to where it would immediately fall.

 

[Chungus]

As Envy bored into the gargoyle, Ardimas looked over his shoulder when he heart the dust fall behind him. [sub]"Hmm..."[/sub] Ardimas glanced over at the royal family and the ceiling above then, then went back to looking straight ahead, although he did reach for his necklace. Estella, I hear something behind me. Can you see anything? he asked telepathically.

Estella stood near the entrance of the abbey, directly opposite of Ardimas. Hearing his remark, she carefully looked around. Nothing so far. What do you suspect?

I'm not sure... But given recent events, I find even the slightest noise suspicious. Tell the guards to be on high alert.

 

[Furioso]

His work complete, Envy watched the proceedings, allowing the small amount of dust to settle and to wait for any openings.

 

[FPSfanatic]

In the cabins, five predators creeped in, blades in hand. They stealthily walked by the beds Erica and Valentine had stayed in, moving to position themselves around Ness.

 

[Chungus]

When every member of the royal family had given their speech, they stepped back from the casket. A mage in black robes with golden trimmings stepped forth. When infront of the casket, the mage raised his hands towards it, and used earth magics to lift the lid that laid besides it, the lid having been carved to show Garzic holding the royal sword on his chest with both hands, and move this on the casket, sealing it off.

"Garzic Alemiah Cecilon, may your soul know eternal bliss." Having said that, the mage stepped back to the back of the abbey.

Ardimas had remained where he stood, his uneasy expression partially hidden by his cloak.

Both Erica and Valentine still slept soundly, having not the slightest clue the Predators had entered the sleeping quarters.

 

[Furioso]

Once the mage finished his speech Envy would crack what remained of the supports on the gargoyle, causing it to fall. He also gave it a little nudge so that it would fall slightly more towards Ardimas. Envy would crawl to a more concealed position after he did this, though it would look like an accident anyways.

@FPS: Well, this sucks.

Ness was still sleeping soundly, smiling a small bit to herself.

 

[FPSfanatic]

One of the predators collected a syringe, and jammed it into Ness's neck, injecting a sedative.

 

[DotSlash]

Ness' eyes opened for a moment and she feebly yelped as the syringe plunged into her neck. Her eyes slowly closed.

 

[Chungus]

OoC @Ness: Pwnd.

Estella's eyes widened when she saw the gargoyle fall. "Watch out!" she called out, her voice echeoing across the hall of the abbey. But it was already too late. With the gargoyle nudged to change its trajectory, it ended up slamming on to Ardimas' legs and lower back, all but shattering his bones there. A collective scream was heard when this happened. The other guard worked on leading the royals and nobles out of the abbey, while Estella rushed over to Ardimas.

Awakened by Ness yelping, Erica opened her eyes halfway. Being groggy, she didn't get up just yet.
