"Alright then..." the miner said as Kyosuke walked off, turning back to his work, planning out new tunnels. "Now you get oout of town as fast as posible. For your sake, as well as ours." he added as an afterthought.

As Wrazon scanned radio frequencies, he picked up a transmision from a radio station. An interview.

"Sergeant Major Bellerophon. Is it true that the military compound in Fourside has been attacked, and there is no sign of the culprit?"

"That is correct. Currently, we are doing everything in our power to find and apprehand the culprit."

"With resourcing going towards the war effort being a priority, is this making the investigation more difficult."

"No. Even with the limited resources available, I can assure you, an act such as this will not go unpunnished for long. We will find the culprit."

"Well, you heard it folks. Even with their attention divided, the Legaian millitary ensures safety within the borders. That concludes our interview with Sergeant Major Bellerophon, tune in later for the weather forecast."

Rémy started wandering around Rockbyrd, heading in a different direction from Kyosuke.

"Maybe... maybe there's someone that can help nearby..." the robed figure muttered, looking around for a way to climb up high.

Must have more to do with whoever lives in that mansion up there... "I see." Kyosuke continues to wander off near the mines, as he grips his hands into fists thinking.

Noel and Charlotte continue to relax.

War. Wrazon allowed himself a rare smile. Where there was war there was pain. Also ambitious commanders who would do anything to win and advance their position.

Limited resources. Another phrase Wrazon plucked at with excitement. He could provide said resources. Manpower especially.

He hovered the data-slate over to him and looked with interest after cutting off the signal. "Why thank you Sergeant Major." he murmured to himself. He could have tapped the frequecy but now was not the right time. "you're a bit low on the ladder though. Not high enough for me anyway." He slipped the slate back into his robes and departed, heading west once more. his slate told him he was nearing the edge of the forest.

If one city had a military outpost then others would. Hopefully he would find a ranking officer, at the very least a channel with which to communicate.

 

[Chungus]

Two of the citizens of Rockbyrd talking amongst themselves sighed when they saw Kyosuke exit the mines.

[sub]"Would that guy leave already? It should be obvious that whatever he's looking for, it ain't here."[/sub]

[sub]"You said it. If Icarus learns that guy just waltzed into the mines..."[/sub] the citizen trailed of, shuddering at the thought.

Other citizens looked at Rémy as he walked about with slight contempt. [sub]"What the crap is that thing?"[/sub]

[sub]"Whatever it is, it looks even less like a man then the average beastkin. Didn't think that was posible."[/sub]

[sub]"It's wearing clothes... So it can't be a wild animal, can it?"[/sub]

[sub]"How would I know?"[/sub]

Nearing a clearing in the forest, Wrazon would hear various voices and the sounds of hammers striking wood. He could see several figures walking around in the clearing through the trees.

Rita walked out into the lobby "We have a problem, there are almost no options for getting to the Wildlands" she said to Loki

Kyosuke continued to walk around the Rockbyrd mines area, thinking. Hmmm... Maybe I'll try something at night. But first... He continued to look for things that were... at least slightly valuable. Not for the miners, but for whoever was in power.

With Charlotte stable, Noel decided to take a nap as Charlotte got up and started to wander around Rockbyrd as well.

Wrazon gave himself pause. On the one hand a snack had just presented it to him, on the other so had the chance of being dicovered. It would take too long to circle around the workers so he pressed on. he had already set himself a timetable as the plots formed in his head and he would not be delayed.

The spines slipped back beneath his robes and trod the ground barefoot towards the people. He could smell them, hear them almost taste their souls.

Rémy turned to the group of citizens.
[color=75aec5]"I can hear, you know. Anyway, you evolved from animals as well, so you're not in much of a position to be high and mighty. Especially when your evolution discarded your natural weapons in favour of... what, exactly?"[/color]

The Rookie made sure the grabbling hook was secure, then donned his helmet before taking a glance at the barricaded door.

"So I heard." Loki said to Rita, standing up, then bowed over to her slightly, bringing his face closer to her ear. "Although the option of being a stowaway is hardly as undesirable as you made it sound. As I had done that one time where we entered a room in Everwood without a soul noticing it, I can easily mask the pressence of both of us. None will know we are there unless they by some chance walk into us. All we need do is learn what ship will depart for the Wild Lands and when, and things will be... smooth sailing from there." he explained with a hushed tone, then rose to his full height again. "Pardon the pun."

Kyosuke would find nothing that could be considdered being worth something to whoever was in charge in Rockbyrd save for the very mines themselves.


As Rémy spoke, the two citizens looked up at him.

"[sub]Whatever.[/sub]

Yeah, we evolved from apes, and we did completely, getting rid of unnecessary features. The same can't be said for your kind. We evolved fully, whie your kind is only half way there." the other mimer answered Rémy. "We stopped looking like random animals in favor of a better working mind."

Closing in on the clearing, Wrazon could smell the strong scent of burned wood. If he had a sixth sense for picking up pain, he would find a great deal in the place he was now in. There were wounded being tended to, as well as dead having been recently burried, families and friends mourning their loss. There was dispair brought about whatever had happened. When his line of sight was obscured no longer, Wrazon would find the creatures he laid eyes upon were not human entirely, but rather human for the most part, with added features of animals which varied from person to person. He had came across what little remained of Everwood, the beastkin town.

Hmmm... No matter. Kyosuke thought to himself as he casually decided to head out of the town and back to the group as he met Charlotte. Blinking at him, he passed her three of something spherical to put in her jacket. Where these spherical things came from was unknown, but they had a faint green glow as they became inert.

OoC: @Nail, what was the total count for the number Envy did on that place, as in, deaths and destroyed buildings

Rita nodded "That would work."

Having crossed the mountains, Envy was now flying over the Legaian defense base, trying to get a feel for the location

The Rookie slid down the rope, grunting in pain when he landed. He then retracted the grabbling hook which made it and the rope fall down for the Rookie to catch. Stuffing it in his rucksack, he displayed a map over Fourside, then started making his way to the edge of town.

The robed figure began to climb up the wall of rocks, slowly and steadily.

Wrazon drunk in the anguish as he neared. His muscles tensed and grew beneath his body suit and his step quickened as vigor filled him. He fed well but it was but the scraps of carnage already past. He now had another oppurtunity. He rubbed a set of limbs together with glee. Those at their lowest would do anything. Take away the home, the loved ones and one had nothing left.

"Well...what tragedy is this?" He spoke aloud as he strode confidently forward. His voice was broader and deeper while being altogether more commanding and dominant, much differant from his crackling and dry utterances to himself before. He licked his now moist lips with the flick of a black tongue but his mask concealed the action as his dark emerald eyes scanned the ruins of the town.

The human-creatures were a fresh sight. Perhaps with differant physiology and biological make-up to a standard human. he had already mentally scheduled and autopsy for the near future.
