"I didn't take you for the type..." Savranth says to Marston.
"A weapon that was sheathed, I should point out. And considering that he has a gun in an obvious holster, I would think he comes from a place where that kind of thing is common." He replies. "Anyway, I'm ready when you are."

Savranth said as he started to walk away a bit.

 

[Furioso]

Rita shook her head "No, I didn't. None of the books said anything about that."

"Dr. Broca it is then, miss." Marston said to Jess, wanting to be as formal as he usually was.

"I suppose I can see why." he said to Sev.

"The reason I'm paranoid of strangers is exactly because that sort of thing is common." Marston added to Sev with some of his gruff humor.

 

[Drakmorg]

Jessica nodded at Savranth again as he started to walk off, then started to follow after him. She looked back over at John and asked, "You going to be coming with us, Mr. Marston?" mimicking his formality.

 

[Chungus]

"A shame. I will need to guess and hope for the best then." Loki said as he bended over and picked up a stone. "Although it still is not able to detect you, be ready to defend yourself if need be. Just refrain from killing the beast." Having said that, Loki tossed the stone towards the opposite side of the den chamber, where it hit a wall.

"Yes mam." Marston said as he gently spurred his horse after the two.

OOC: God. Damn. Cougars. Damn them!

"Seems like the opposite would be true..." Savranth shrugged as they walked on. He looks up to the sky.
"We've been lucky so far..."

 

[Zepherus14]

Hearing the noise of the rock hitting the wall, the mother instantly perked up and snarled. It looked at where the sound had come from and then around the cave itself. The juveniles quickly ducked underneath the mother.

The mother sniffed at the air trying to figure out if their was something there.

 

[Furioso]

Rita waited to see where Loki was going with this, but was ready to cast a spell if need be.

 

[Outisakanobody]

"That's a naive way of seeing things, boy. In my experience, if folks have weapons on display about their person, they usually aren't just for show." Marston said to Sev as he rod behind him.

 

[Chungus]

Having drawn the dragon's attention without revealing his position, Loki projected an image of himself at the center of the den. "Have at you, beast." Loki said, his words being spoken by the projection.
Although the projection was lifelike in terms of appearance and sound, it carried no scent.

 

[Zepherus14]

The mother snarled and then let out a roar, using it's wings to push and shelter the juveniles from the projection. Although it was mildly confused by the lack of smell from the 'not' Loki, it still slammed a paw down on the projection, seemingly to pin it, and then would then go for a bite to the head if the projection still functioned like a real body.

 

[Saltyk]

"That maybe true, but if you know a lot of people who carry weapons, you should know that not everyone is going to assault you just because they have a weapon. But in terms of avoided such a thing, instantly drawing your weapon when they arrive, is a good way to guarantee that they draw theirs. Seems like a self-fulfilling prophecy to me. And if you're having trouble with the concept keep this in mind: The reason I don't trust you is because you pulled your weapon on me when I simply walked up." Savranth replied, as they walked.

After a bit of time, they came up to the Defense base. Volarian, met them at the gate. "What are you doing here?"

"Maybe me drawing my gun causes more fights then it prevents, but its also kept me alive so far, that and a few other things, so I'm reluctant to change my ways, you see." Marston said to Sev as he rode behind him. "And I'm awful broken up about losing your trust, boy." he added in a somewhat condescending manner.

OOC: Gotta love those opinions...

 

[Chungus]

The moment the dragon's paw hit the floor, Loki dispelled the projection. The dragon would catch a glimpse of its paw going straigh through the projection, rather then crushing it before it vanished. With the prokection having done its job of luring the dragong to the center of the den, Loki approached it with a speedy walk, ducking under the beast's wings as he approached, and continued on towards its underside.

Rita kept her distance.

 

[Drakmorg]

Jessica had kept quite while Savranth and Marston conversed on the way to the base, as she wasn't interested in what was being discussed. Eager to actually say something, she spoke to Volarian. "We were hoping to speak to General Tiberius. He isn't too busy right now, is he?"

 

[Zepherus14]

The mother seeing the projection faze through its hand made it hesitate for a brief moment, but then sent it into a rage. It was smart enough to know it had been fooled and it was not happy. It's head darting from passageway to passageway, it's tail flailing around, and stomping the ground a bit. It wasn't very safe to be around and exemplified why so many universes had adopted 'dragon position' strategies when dealing with such beasts.

Wherever Loki was hiding it wanted to smash his face in so badly.

"I suppose that means nothing if you don't value your life, or the lives of anyone else, eh?" Savranth replies dryly, replying to both statements.

"No, he should be available. Do you need something?" Volarian asked.
