As Samus stepped on the red pole's plate, it began to glow brightly as well. However, the green pole's glow began to dim back down to normal levels.

"I don't know. There seems to be a sequence to these. Standing on the plates is a good way to test these though."
Seras shrugged and moved to stand on the nearest plate to her.

As Seras stepped onto the red plate, the green pole would begin to glow once more but the red pole would dim. Axton stepping onto the blue plate would cause both the blue pole and the newly lit red pole to dim as well, leaving only the orange one lit up at the moment.
"We don't know how stable this place is or what it contains. Explosives could bring the place down or damage something important." Samus said to Axton, trying to figure out what to do next.
"These poles activated on a low setting when we entered the room. Setting them all at the highest setting or turning them all off might do something." Samus mused, stepping off the blue plate and back on again.
"I thought that would charge it..." Samus said. "I was wrong. It's not a normal power distributor, it's a binary switch. All we have to do is figure out the right sequence..." Samus stepped off the plate, checking the walls with her scan visor. She couldn't read the markings, but there might be more legible clues in the patterns or parts of the wall where she could see the chamber's mechanisms.

As Samus scanned the room once again, she'd begin to note that the plate she was on had what seemed like wires running through it and each plate's wires were color coded,
The one she was currently on was the blue plate and it linked to the blue pole and the green pole.

Ness paused for a moment as Jess looked toward her. After a long while, she nervously chuckled and rubbed behind her head. [color=666666] "I... uh.... I can always just save up or something... I just got a little overexcited is all..." [/color] Carmen raised an eyebrow at this and shrugged. [color=bb0066] "Well, that's a shame. I suppose I'll see you and the cat some other time then. Farewell." [/color] She turned, giving the two girls a small wave before walking away. She'd suddenly disappear in a puff of smoke later, causing a few of the shop goers to flinch and get on edge.

Samus relayed the information to the group, planning the order in her head. She stepped on the blue plate once more, activating the blue and green torches alongside the orange one, then stepped on the orange once again, extinguishing all three.
