"Weird kid. Think he's a mutant or something?" Axton asked as he started digging for food in the kitchen.

Seras didn't reply to this as she went back to relaxing on the bed.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus looked at Axton. "I don't know what he is. This planet is supposed to be uninhabited except for the resort, and yet there he was, resting in an underground structure. He might be a living fossil."

"Maybe he was staying here and just wandered away and got lost."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"But that doesn't explain the structure."

 

[Outisakanobody]

"Yeah...Maybe this place is only uninhabited now. Maybe something used to live here."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"The question is who or what used to live here and why they vanished."

 

[Outisakanobody]

"...Those ruins better not be some kind of tourist trap built by WAOA to occupy us for a little while." Axton said as he finally got some food and started to eat it.

"The ruins looked real enough to me." Seras commented from her bed.

"I highly doubt those are fakes, and if they are, they are very well-done fakes."

Axton shrugged as he ate.

Samus sat on the floor cross-legged, not sitting on a chair for fear her armour's weight would break it.

"Well, I'm letting that beach go to waste." Axton said as he prepared to go for a swim, hoping to coax Samus into coming along.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Its just sand and water." Samus said, sounding unimpressed.

"You're really just gonna sit there? Lame." Axton said.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus said nothing, but disengaged and took off her helmet, putting it next to her.

"That's a start. Tell you what, why don't we have a race or somthing?"

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"See more of the island, get some training done... sure." Samus stood. "I accept your challenge."

 

[Outisakanobody]

"Alright, but no armor. For all I know you've got rockets in your shoes or something unfair like that." Axton said, smirking at Samus.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Samus raised a finger and was about to retort when she remembered the Space Jump module installed in her armour, literal jets in her boots. She lowered the finger sheepishly and looked away. "Alright. Give me a second to get out of the armour."

"Kay. I'll be outside." Axton said as he moved toward there. He looked over to Seras before he left. "You gonna be okay there...Seras?" he asked her. She nodded and smiled a little bit in his direction. So Axton left the hut and started to stretch.

Axton would wait outside for a few minutes, the sounds of hissing hydraulics and clanking metal coming out of the hut. Eventually Samus stepped out in the Zero Suit, blinking and shading her eyes with her hand.
