Franky leaned over to try and see where he felt the needle prick, although due to being covered in fur, this would be basically impossible regardless of how noticeable the imprint might actually be to see.

He then looked to where everyone was congregating towards the crazy woman that had sent them on this damned trip. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!" Franky shouted at the woman.

The woman glanced at the two who had approached her. "Good to see you back. How'd the mission go?"

She glanced at Franky, and raised an eyebrow. "what was what, Gerbillian?"

There was a brief pause before Franky's hatch opened, and Franky popped out. "What do you mean what?! All of that!" Franky pointed back to the area where the portal was.

"What kind of messed up backwards world was that?!"

Amelia scratched behind one of her horns. ".....Uh.... It went well enough. We lost some people though..." She jolted a bit at Franky's outburst and then kept silent.

The woman nodded at each person's statement. She turned to answer Franky first. "That, was a quarantined zone. There are a few like it: places so different from our average zone, that we've eliminated as many interactions as we could without removing the possibility of us detecting an attack. Most of the universal zones aren't like that, thankfully. In fact, almost every one is much more tame in comparison to Rapture. There are a few that stand out as more insane and out of this world, but its a rare thing to find." She simply nodded to Samus, and turned to Amelia. "If you'd be kind enough to take a moment and write up who went missing, we'll be sure to keep an eye out for them, and keep in contact with Ryan in case he finds them."

"You're serious? You're meaning to tell me that this is one of the most dangerous places to go to... of all the other universes your agency has seen... And you send a rag tag group of people that aren't even told about it?" Franky exclaimed, sounding understandably frustrated.

"Not only that but that Ryan guy said we did far better than he would expect from you guys!? I don't care how much of a basket case that Steve was, nor whatever that ADAM crap is, how dare you pull that kind of blindsiding shit on people that is doing you a favour!"

"....Uh... It was the woman with the fedora... and that mustached creature..." Amelia explained, a bit shyly. "We lost contact with both of them... during a firefight that broke out. The mustached guy antagonized them, but I didn't see the lady in the fight too... but giving how crazy that place was, [small] I don't wanna put my hopes up... [/small]"

Her voice lowered more as Franky kept going off.

"Why should I?!" Franky promptly retorted back to Samus. "How can you possibly think that any of that was okay?"

The Woman frowned. "Andrew Ryan, natural deep thinker and philosopher though he is, has never seen an actual WAOA team acting in combat, nor have we given him any idea what a WAOA team can do. If you left with anyone still at the city, if you were detected, if you were wounded or had difficulty in defeating the enemy, you did not perform as well as the average WAOA team. You were chosen because you seemed sufficiently trained in combat to be used as the equivalency of one of our training squads, you were the only available team at the time, and you were willing to work with us. Do not for a second assume this was normal behavior."
she glared at the ball for a moment, before rubbing her head. "But Ms. Aran is right. We need to calm. There are other matters at hand. You lot have a few more hours, and then you'll be free into the WAOA's building, and by extension, the market and surrounding neighborhoods. We need to get you properly equipped and ready for that." she nodded her thanks to Amelia. "Those two didn't seem weak. I've no doubt that they have done their absolute best to survive." except perhaps that one magical golem, that pokemon. what kind of idiot antagonizes drug users? I suppose the golem didn't know how to act without its master. something to remember.

Amelia gave the woman a small nod and looked away for a second. "...But one other thing... what was with those.... feelings that we felt when we all moved through the portals. The first one just felt horrible but the other felt like we got... i-injected with something.... Could you... explain that at least?"

She didn't seem to respond to what Franky was saying, though someone might notice there were things on her mind aside from the question she had asked.

Franky didn't back down from the glare. When she finally looked back to the others, he crossed his arms with a hmph. "Sure..." He murmured.

[small]"And if I stayed behind then Amelia would have been left alone to deal with Steve while you faffed about doing god knows what..."[/small] He glared at Samus as she tried to sit tried to take the high road when she had no ground to stand on.

"I was following a lead." Samus replied. "I'd actually like to go back there and investigate it more once I have my suit."

"Nice to know that when you work with people, you will split off from the group because something looked pretty... Makes me feel really safe." Franky retorted. "That does not change the fact that Amelia would have been left alone if I didn't make the mistake to come along..."

"Weird sensation? Might have been your body shaking off whatever happened to you. Interdimensional travel leaves traces, and using different forms can cause side effects... the needle sensation though, I know it. Its kind of hard to explain, but basically every universe leaves a sort of sense on you that our portals have to remove. Rapture, with its abundance of drugs and influences of ADAM, leaves an aura that, when removed, brings to mind a needle entering your body and burning in the arm. Does that sound right?" the woman asked, rubbing her mouth and thinking.

Amelia blinked a few times before slowly nodding. "....Y-Yeah.... That was exactly how it felt... So that's normal then... We won't end up with that Adam stuff in our bloodstreams and ending up looking like... that Steve guy, did....?"

"It was important." Samus retorted angrily, finding it difficult to believe she was justifying herself to a gerbil.

"Sure it was important..." Franky rolled his eyes at Samus, finding her excuses for deserting them lousy at best. He looked down at the band on his wrist for a moment before looking back up.
