"Well, I'm a solider at heart. Fighting is my thing. And I only kill the bad guys." Axton said with a wink to Rose.

Darren shrugged, harness rattling, and nodded. "Not a horse, but a deer, and I am a dryad, dear child." she spoke to the child, who now seemed delighted at the talking deer lady interacting with him. [sub]"Thank you."[/sub] she whispered to Amelia.

"It's coming, had to do a little manipulation of the processes this phone is supposed to do to get everything sorted, but turned out better than I would have expected." Franky said as he looked at the phone for a moment.

"Alright going to test this, here's my number for this brick." Franky said as he read off the number for Gideon to try.

...Or so you think... Rose quipped internally as she nodded. "Well, different strokes for different people, I guess."
Amelia smiled and nodded toward Darren as she continued to followed side by side with her. After a moment or two, she looked back to her, the smile no longer on her face. "....I guess... you've had to deal with stuff like... that for a long time, huh?" She said, motioning behind her

As Franky read off the number, Gideon pulled out his phone again, and dialed the number in as Franky stated it. "Alright, here goes." He said before calling the number.
In an other universe, in a vast desert of golden sand, a trailer drove along, seemingly without anything to pull it. The oval-shaped trailer was roughly five meters long, and had four wheels at the back, and four at the front. It had a rig ontop of it, with various compartments holding currently inactive equipment. On the fron of the trailer was a ladder to alow access to the rig ontop, and covering the back of the trailer was a painting of a yellow face with sunglasses, an animalistic black triangle-shaped nose, and accompanying muzzle.

"Uhh... Sir? There's some kind of...glitch in the network." Said a creature sitting inside the trailer at a three-screened computer, the keyboard of which being integrated into a pannel, with studio equipment on either side of it. The creature was a bipedal rabbit creature, standing roughly 1.40 meters tall. Slate-grey fur covered its body, with the exception of the belly and chin, where the fur was white, and around the eyes, where the fur was black, with one small stripe pointing upwards from the upper eyelids, and two more pointing downwards from the lower eyelids. It had long ears that pointed sideways, with more fur coming out of them, presumably to protect them from the sand, red irises, and black lips, with two fangs sticking out from under the upper lip. It had three stubby fingers and toes, from whichs long black nails protruded. It had a long tail with three black belts near the end of the tail, it ending a fluffy tip.
"A glitch? That's techno-babble for 'a problem', ain't it?" An other speaker asked, sitting leaned forward at the front of the trailer. This being was a humanoid, standing roughly 1.80 meters tall, had disc-spaced ears, disproportionally large hands and feet, a tail and an athletic build. It wore a bizzare, form-fitting bright orange suit that left only the face exposed. The stomach and chest area of the suit, along with the ears and tip of the tail were white. The suit had a seamline running from the forehead, to the back of the head, stitchwork on the left shoulder and infront of the tip of the tail, and a seemingly pointless zipper on the inside of the forearm. Like the painjob on the back of the trailer, the creature had a muzzle, and its nose was triangular and black. It accesorised with black sunglasses of which the glasses were rectangular, a golden earing in the left ear, and a small yellow teddybear that hung from its neck by the creature's right hip.

"Yeah, that's right... Nothing is working like it's supposed to!" The rabbit-like creature exclaimed as he ticked at the keyboard.

"Uh-huh. Then go do somethin' about it. I ain't payin' you to talk, get me?" The creature in the orange suit commented.

"I'm trying! I'm trying...!" The rabbit create exclaimed as he ticked away furiously at the keyboard more. "It just isn't working! The network's not responding at all!"

"Now listen here, sonny..." The creature in the orange suit began as he rose from his seat. He couldn't speak further though, as the trailer rocked and stopped of its own accord. This was imediately followed by the trailer and everything inside breaking down into pixels, before disappearing entirely.
In London, the weather changed dramatically, causing a sudden coldfront and snowfall, accompanied by al comunication devices suffering from heavy interference, as if solar winds had just hit. This would go on for ten minutes, before the snowfall went as quickly as it came, the temperature returned to normal, and comunications functioned as normal again. At this moment, the trailer materialised in the same way it broke down earlier, doing so infront of the WAOA building.

"Sonny, you've got five seconds to explain to me what just happened." The being in the orange suit said with an agitated tone as he rubbed the side of his head, suffering from a sense of displacement.

"I-I don't know! But we've seem to have been disconnected from the network." The rabbit answered after getting up, having fallen off the seat during the relocation.

"Say what?!" The being in the orange suit bellowed, before moving towards the left hand side of the trailer, and hitting a button, causing a large portion of the side to slide up. "You get out there and fix whatever's wrong! Don't bother showing your face until it's done." He added, before grabbing the rabbit by the scruff of the neck, and flinging him out of the trailer.

"H-hey! Whaaah!" Being thrown out, the rabbit stumbled forward, but managed to keep his balance and remain standing. As he noticed the rather different surroundings, the rabbit blinked pronouncedly twice. "Uhhh... Boss? You should take a look at this..."

With the whole explosion of world changing stuff that happened for the short period of time, the phone signals seemed to not communicate. Franky was a little ticked for a short time, thinking that he must have done something wrong, but when he looked at the phone he'd been working on and seeing that it wasn't getting a signal, he realized something was up.

"Hey is your phone getting any reception right now?" He asked Gideon, wondering if it was just his end.

Although Franky wasn't at the right angle to see it, the window in the room would obviously show snow falling from it.

With the phone seeming to not work, Gideon hummed, and ended the call. When asked if his phone had any reception, Gideon looked at the screen for a few moments, not sure what to look at initially, but eventually seeing it. "No. Nothing." He said, shaking his head. "Wierd."

Having his back turned to the window, Gideon didn't notice the snow fall.

Rose shook her head once more. "No... I..." She looked away for a moment, seeming to think before shaking her head. "It's... a long story. In short, no, I didn't come here by random chance."

After a few minutes, a group of soldiers exited the WAOA, and approached the trailer. Half the group carried a strange energy weapon, the other half rifles with oversized barrels. They all wore heavy body armor.
Darren stayed quiet until the child, wowed, ran off. She continued down the street, and eventually said "Not often. But enough."
The trainer stared at Samus helplessly, before shrugging. "Thats just something your trainer will have to work on with you."

"Well at least it isn't a problem on my side then... But it got to wondering what that was. Solar flare or something? You'd think they would have something to deal with that?" Franky shrugged, his tail flicking a little as he was a little frustrated he couldn't simply finish with the phone.

"It's not something I feel comfortable talking about, especially to someone I've just met." Rose stated casually, still looking off to the side.
"....I'm sorry to hear that." Amelia said sympathetically. ....I heard about people getting treated like that... but I didn't think I'd see it happen. I guess that's what she meant before.... Her rapier vibrated a bit, still faint as Amelia spoke.

"Don't ask me." Gideon said with a small shrug. "When it comes to gadgets, I don't know a whole lot. Especially if said gadgets probably work rather different then the ones I'm used to." Laying his phone down on the bed, Gideon caught sight of the snow falling form the corner of his eye. Not sure if he saw things right, he stood up and walked over to the window.

"Huh... Looks like even the weather doesn't behave like you'd expect it to..." He said, partially to himself. "It's snowing."
Seeing the heavily armed soldiers exit the building, and with his boss giving no reply, the rabbit jumped back into the trailer. "Boss! Boss! You really need to see this!" He exclaimed, but stumbled back as he was smacked upside the head.

"Did't I tell you to not show your face again until you had us back online?!" The creature in the orange suit snarled. "Get back out there!"

The rabitt looked up to his boss, while rubbing his head. "B-but boss! There are wierd... things out there! And they look dangerous. We're also not in the Server desert any more!"

"I swear, if this is some kind of excuse, I'm gonna turn you into a pair of mittens..." Grumbling, the being in the orange suit looked out of the trailer, raising an eyebrow. "Well shoot my dog and call me Patty..."

"That's related to the whole story of coming here... as such I won't say anything on it at the moment." Rose said, scratching a small spot under her chin.

"Wait?! Did you say snow? Like real snow from the sky?" Franky seemed to be quite surprised, a bit unlike him to be honest. Even his tail followed suit, sticking straight up almost vertically.

"Is there any other kind?" Gideon responded as he moved away from the window, before picking up his phone, slipping it in his pocket, before walking towards the door of the dorm. "Come on. Let's go check it out."
