She thanked the waiter kindly as she sat herself down.

When the meal came, she thanked him again and wolfed down her meal with happiness.

Once she was finished, she returned her dishes to the counter and thanked the innkeeper for the meal. She then exited the building to be on her way to the library.

 

[Silence]

The woman jumped down from the window, rolling as she hit the ground, landing directly beside the cat.

Feeling the heat of the flame on her side, she came to her own conclusion: "Damnit."

Then she decided to walk into the direction of the fire, to find out what it was. Occasionally, when she did not feel any human near, she would imitate the meowing of a cat.

She stopped before the building, feeling the heat on her face, "looking" for human hearts in the vicinity, hoping against hope that one of them would feel special.

Depending on Anik's position, she might have felt EMily exiting the inn, on her way to the library.

When the man entered the temple, he would see an altar at the far end of the hall. In it was a flaming sword, the handle of it slotted into a hole to keep the blade upright. Unlike the stone one above, which was over 100m tall, this one was a normal size. There would be no visible way to get up to the stone blade from within the temple.

EMily would be able to find the library fairly easily, once she reached the docks. The building was fairly simple, separated into two rooms with a window in the dividing wall. If she were present, Timea would find it similar to the building she had visited on the docks in Seisah. This building was larger, however, and the front room featured a few desks lined up against the walls.

Despite what her appearance would suggest, Matilda's heart was not human. Instead, it was that of an ancient and quite powerful being of pure justice.

"It is important to slow down, and enjoy the stillness of life. You must be at harmony with nature, and clear one's mind daily. It keeps your chi balanced, which is very important to life." He said to Topaz speaking his wisdom.

"You were such a help. I hope you share your great wisdom with others, sir." He said getting up and going to another man asking the same questions, repeating this process until he got somewhere.

 

[Furioso]

The man was disappointed to see no way to get to the large stone one, but the normal sized blazing sword was interesting enough for him. He went to inspect the sword as best he could.

The woman would not be able to detect the mans heart, as if it wasn't there.

The heart-reading woman would find two more ancient beings if she looked into the gemstones of Aqua and Topaz.

The various people Bruce talked to would all agree that the streets are a pretty cheap place to stay.

When the man approached the burning sword, a woman's voice would call out to him. "Can I help you?" the woman, who was wearing white robes with blue trim, and had dark brown hair, olive skin and equally brown eyes, asked as she walked over to the man.

[color=9f2089]"That seems a bit sketchy too. We just need to not be stu--"[/color] Cybil was replying to Matilda when a thought occurred to her. [color=9f2089]"You know, that's probably a good idea."[/color]

 

[Furioso]

The man jolted up from his inspection. "Ah! Wunderbar! You can certainly help me! My name is Yeager, charmed to make your acquaintance, please, tell me everything you know about this sword." said Yeager as he reached out to excitedly shake her hand.

Robin's heart was mostly empty, as if he had only just begun his life. What was present was a strong sense of devotion and q bright intellect.

He looked at Cybil. "Got a plan?"

 

[Silence]

The woman was surprised and intimated by what she felt. Two beings, so bright and full of deeds, more than any human could have in a lifetime, they had to be ancient. And another one, pure, like she had never felt a heart before.

She dropped to one knee, thinking. Finally, she rose. "Maybe I actually have come to the right place."

She headed over to the place where the beings stood with some other, less remarkable, hearts.

Stopping right in front of the gems, she said:


"Good evening to you all. If you don't mind the question, are you here for a particular reason?"

Aquamarine's 'heart' would obviously not be beating, but she has a very strong sense of loyalty and pride, but also selflessness.

Topaz's 'heart' was full of excitement and very spontaneous. He also had enough compassion to keep him from doing anything TOO destructive.

[color=006d5b]"Thanks."[/color] Matilda replied, smiling. Hearing Anik's question, Matilda said, [color=006d5b]"Just getting to know the place. We're new in town."[/color]

The woman didn't shake Yeager's hand, instead raising an eyebrow at him. "Well... it's a steel straight sword. We use it in our Ignition Ceremonies." she replied.

 

[Furioso]

Yeager smirked and pulled back his hand. "Such a cold response! You wound me, madam. Please indulge me, I'm not... from around here. How does it burn with no source of power or fuel?"

"Through the power of the god Calibeth." the woman replied.

 

[Silence]

Quite surprised by the voice of a young girl, coming from the pure heart, speaking just some trivial words, the woman said:
"Umm ... all right. I'm also new in town. Is there something special here? Well, maybe you can answer me where this heat is coming from?"

Speedy was not that surprised by the new arrival. Actually, he thought, nothing could surprise him anymore, and this girl wasn't that surprising after all, aside from her weird fur.

[color=FFCC33]"There's a giant flaming sword over there!"[/color] Topaz exclaimed tot the woman, pointing at the statue.

 

[Furioso]

Yeager blinked at the woman. "...No no no liebchen, it is ok, you can tell me how it works, I promise I won't tell anyone. My lips are sealed!" said Yeager with as sincere a smile as he could muster, although his smile was a tad creepy.

"I just did." the woman replied. "Our priest, Father Ysha, pays a blood sacrifice to Calibeth to ignite the sword. Then he puts it in the altar and the temple blade above lights on fire."
