With the shark being a day old carcass, the skin had stiffened some, but it didn't make the task that much harder. When the skin was pulled down to the tip of the fin, Sibylla would find it giving a lot more resistance then before, a ligament keeping it in place. "Stop here", Timea instructed. "When coming to these points, you can't pull any longer, otherwise, you'll just damage the meat. So, you need to cut it. Before that, though, feel at it, so you know what to look for, next time."
After Sibylla did as instructed, Timea would sever the ligament, completing the process. "And there you are, all done! For a first time, you didn't do a bad job at it, either! There are plenty who would be have too fragile sensibilities to even try this. So all in all, well done", Timea said encouragingly. "Now with the hide out of the way, feel at the flesh."
Turning to Hillary, Timea said, "It's true, Hillary", saying Hillary's name solely so the two blindfolded women would know they weren't addressed. "We have hearts that beat to pump the blood around the body. Very important."
With that said, Timea looked to Anik. "With that said ...If your hearing is that sensitive, Anik, how ever haven't you gone deaf yet?"
As was the case when she spoke with Sibylla, Hillary might notice Timea didn't have much in the way of facial expressions and body language while talking to Anik.
