Without answering Robin, Topaz ran away behind a building and shapeshifter into an albatross, then flew back and landed near the group. They would be able to tell it was him because it was yellow and had Topaz's gem around its wing.

While she was aware that Topaz was nearing her, Anik did not expect something to land on her shoulder. She winced and smacked Topaz down, just as he was whispering in her ear.
Then she said "Oh. It's you."
After hearing the others talk, she said: "Oh well, I'll pay for myself then too. Let's go if the barges are ready."
She handed five silver coins, not from this world, to the worker.
