"Yes, hello", Timea began, with forced cheeriness, noting the guards' reaction to her approach, and thinking some cheer would alleviate their annoyance. "I want to learn more about the gods, and had thought to ask at the temple, but it's completely empty," she began to explain, pointing up to the temple upon mentioning it. "But I've heard that there are other temples in the city. Could you direct me to these?"
The Gems followed Robin out of the East gate. As soon as he could, cat-Topaz hid behind a nearby rock, tree, or similar cover and turned back into his normal form, regrouping with the others right after.
"There's only one temple in this city." the guard replied, Timea's cheery attitude not doing much to make him less annoyed.
Aqua walked up to the cat and looked down at it as intimidatingly as possible. [color=66CCFF]"What are you?"[/color] She asked.
The cat looked back up at Aqua. [color=32127a]"I'm a cat. What are you?"[/color] he asked, sniffing Aqua's legs and brushing up against them.
"Well, uhh... that's a little brodie on my part, then", she said, largely speaking to herself, rubbing the palm of hand hand over the back of the other. Clearly her throat and re-adjusting her posture, she said, "Well, a last question, then we'll leave. Where can I go to ask questions about the farms? I'd ask the workers, but I don't think whoever owns them would be very happy with me keeping them from their work."
[color=66CCFF]"Then how can you talk? What other magic do you have?"[/color] Aqua interrogated.
[color=66CCFF]"We barely know this thing and yet we already entrusted all of our supplies to it. I'm just being cautious."[/color] Aqua explained to Cybil.
[color=FFCC33]"Don't worry, most of her threats are empty."[/color] Topaz whispered in Cybil's ear so Aqua couldn't hear. [color=FFCC33]"I'll bet she just wants an excuse to talk to the adorable little thing."[/color]

"It's a cat. A talking cat with a magic collar." Robin told Anik, only now realising how hodd that sounded.
"WHAT?" Anik called out in response to Matilda. She had thought before, at the time Speedy talked to Mochán, that this cat could not possibly answer every question with "yes" truthfully, and had therefore decided to not trust her completely.
