Sally sighed, "I'm afraid not, and I don't really care about chinese stuff." Sally told Heno.
She looked at Topaz, "You're in pain because of that, it's clear on your face. Humanity doesn't have Gems- We have a brain. Our brain is tied to our body, and our body is to our brain. When you shoot the skull- They're gone. Forever. You destroy their body, but leave the brain? Likewise. I understand your pain, but remember that." she said.
She looked Cybil in the eyes, "You know what was in the Pitt? A good man, who sought to make a new world. One who looked to create, in a world that only salvaged. But his world was ravaged with Disease, death, and madness- All who entered couldn't breed. He couldn't create life in his world, so he brought it in- He brought in slavers. The slavers wouldn't work the forge to make his new world, so he used their slaves. And he worked to Utopia, and birthed a cure to the disease that ravaged the people there."
She leans back, a far off gaze in her eye.
"The slaves suffered, though. They were worked, they were killed, and they were brought there to work until they died. The man who forged this world had a treacherous assistant. He betrayed him, and was cast down into the hell that he forged to make his future utopia. The traitor went to bring someone to take him down."
Sally glared Cybil in the eyes, "And then I was sent in."
"I went in, worked to overthrow the creator, to remove him from power, to bring the cure to the downtrodden slaves. I fought, I killed, and I worked my way until I could stare him in the eye. It was then I learnt the traitor's history. And then I learnt his. The slave rebellion the traitor worked on sprung as I learned, and I saw the cure. A child."
She looked to the sky. "I met the wife. Relayed the story, tried to convince her to join me, to get rid of the slaves, to make a better future... But I couldn't. She wouldn't yield. She wouldn't listen. I took the child and ran."
She slowly slides down the wall.
"I saw the rebelion. Slaves having their blood spilt, slavers dying left and right. I was lost. I was confused. I didn't know which to choose- The man who intended to set them all free, but built the world off the back of slaves, or the traitor who was born from their ranks."
She looked to the moon. "I went with the traitor. I brought the child to him, and let his heart continue beating. I left the child to a soul who would kill it to get what he wanted." she said, her fist slowly clenching.
"I went down, to turn off the lights and let the beasts in the dark take his home. I stared him and his wife down, as I left the raider camp. I looked him in the eye, tried to tell him that he wouldn't have to wait to make his utopia, wouldn't have to drag slaves here, or build it off of slavers. That he could make it the way he wanted. Halfway through, he tried to shoot me between the eyes. I shot him first. It was that, or die." she said.
She looked Matilda in the eyes. "I saw the look she had in her eyes. It was the same look he bore, that day. I burnt everything I had for this, so why not my life. I knew, it was kill, or be killed. That was why I shot. That was why I killed her."
She looked Cybil in the eyes, "I knew that he would just rebuild it as it was. But I didn't kill him- The slaves would have killed me. I regreted it, for so long..."
She looked to the skies. "Now it's a democracy. It ended decent, with the worst case scenario. I failed, and I know it could be better, but I did my best. I made it the best I could." she said, a hint of sorrow in her voice.
She closed her eyes, "Give me a while, I need to calm down." she said, closing her eyes.

"Want-" Alain started, before gagging from both the smell and look of the gutted fish. "Uhh, want some help?" He asked, the tone of his voice clearly indicating he didn't want to.
[hr]
[color=FFCC33]"You really like to talk a lot, don'tcha?"[/color] Topaz asked Sally, any lesson that she tried to teach him completely ignored.

[color=006d5b]"That's a lovely story, but it doesn't actually answer my question."[/color] Matilda said, sounding unimpressed. [color=006d5b]"I just want the damn facts. What the fuck happened in that room, and why did it end with a dead elf?"[/color]

The guard raised his sword and swung at the Terminator. At the same time, the sorcerer made tendrils of sand wrap around the Terminator's ankles, attempting to pull it into the ground.

Once Yeager's equipment was set up, the workers exited his residence.

The Terminator parried, quickly countering with a swing of its own. It then looked down, as it found it difficult to move forward. It could not explain the tendrils of sand and was slowed down, but not stopped as the pistons inside its legs pressed hard to keep it moving forward.

You try to smile in response to Alain, but it ends up as a grimace at the stench of the fish. You reply that you'll manage, but that he can start cooking. After saying this, you grab the gutted fish and, calling out [color=0066cc]"Catch!"[/color], you throw the fish to him. You then grab another fish from the pile and start to gut it.

"Hmm. Well, I'll suppose I'll find out once I get to that archive", Timea responded. She considered leaving the conversation at that, but came to the conclusion that she would have to give some explanation as to how she healed.

"Now to answer your question how I did that--", she began, pointing to where the priest was laying. "That's a natural ability of mine. I can produce sunlight, and use it to heal injuries." After giving her explanation, Timea watched Eina closely, taking careful note of how she would react.

After all the items had been properly placed, the drones went to stand against a wall so to take up the minimal amount of space. Once the workers had left the house, Ultron looked to Yeager, asking,
Code:
"So, what is this surprise you have for me?"

The guard the Terminator had hit fell down, bleeding heavily. However, the sand tendrils pulled even harder, wrapping around the Terminator's legs even more.

"You can produce sunlight?" Eina replied, a little surprised. "How did you get this ability?"

After the workers left, Yeager went and locked the door, barring it if there was no lock, and then got out some paper and wrote a note for Ultron, showing him when it was done.
It read: "Have your buddies use this equipment. Have them smelt metal, hammer out strips of metal, whatever, as long as it makes a lot of noise. I'll need you to stand guard up front here. I'm going to build myself a little underground tunnel, and then we can really get started."

Heno looked at Sally strangely "... What are you talking about? China is nice bowls, and plates. China is not a place. I come from a great Imperial Empire... Well it's not that great anymore, but I still have great pride for the empire." He said as he waited for Sally to finish everything. "Two wrongs do not make a right. All it does is make everyone wrong."

Alain fumbled a bit, but managed to catch the fish. He was somewhat disgusted by it, and held it away from his body. "Uhh, I can barely even cook with a microwave, definitely not on an open fire." He said, looking to Rebecca for help.

Timea was pleasantly surprised with Eina's reaction, having expected a lot less surprise, and a lot more accusing. "I've always had it", she answered, pouting her lips, and shining a ray of sunlight at Eina's torso, it feeling exactly what one would expect it to feel like. Stopping the beam after two seconds, she said, "Don't ask me how this heals injuries, I don't know", and smiled a little wryly.
[hr]
Ultron took a moment to read the note, it's lack of binocular vision making letters blur together a little. When it finished reading, Ultron nodded, and had the drones walk forward, placing down their feet with more force to produce a louder clang, but not enough to damage the floor. They individually began working on specific tasks, doing so as unnecessarily loudly as possibly.
Ultron was glad it couldn't get a headache.

Code:
"How long will this take?"
Ultron asked Yeager without raising its voice, not feeling like doing the tasks for days on end.

Anik also listened to what Aqua and Robin were talking about.

[hr]

Later, on the boat. At night ... well, at least when everyone is sleeping.

When she heard people sleep, Anik decided it was time. She felt around, for the most secluded place on the boat, and started to carve symbols into her own flesh, remembering what the Comet had told her was written in the book, and following the steps of the ritual for strength. She did not make a sound, while doing so, even though it hurt.
Then she concentrated on her body, to feel if she had, indeed, gained strength.

[color=9f2089]"The elf attacked us because Sally wouldn't stop threatening her. And then Sally killed the elf because she's too damn trigger happy to just let me handle the situation without having anyone die."[/color] She explained to Anik.

"Oh, not as long as you would think, once we get deep enough this won't matter." he said as he went into whichever of the 3 rooms the building consisted of was farthest from the front door. Yeager would spend a little time rearranging furniture so that the entrance to his tunnel, which would be on the side of the building that faced the wall, could be hidden under a bed and rug. "Magic isn't exactly my specialty, but I'm not exactly going to be making anything elaborate, so this should go fine!" he said as he took a stance, aiming his palms at his intended tunnel entrance. A ground colored runic symbol appeared on the ground beneath him, and a moment later rock erupted through the floor of his target zone, then receded, starting to head downwards at an angle aiming away from the city.

You sigh and tell the two that it is easy. Drawing your sword, you place it near the fire and tell them that they should skewer the fish on the sword, then hold it above the fire until it looks cooked. You add that you can help judge when it is done.

The Terminator looked down for a moment, the servos of its legs grinding as it tried to keep itself above the sand. It then looked around, scanning for a source of this attack. Its gaze finally settled on the sorcerer. It wasn't sure she was the one controlling the sand, but she stood out from the other guards from her lack of weaponry. With its legs being bound to the ground, it was not capable of walking over to the sorcerer. Instead, in a blur, it threw its sword against the woman in order to skewer her. Despite only being thrown, the sword flew towards her with the speed of an arrow.

"I didn't expect someone to handle the situation worse than I had ... actually, I have to say this to Sally: Cybil was the one calling the shots. With insistence on doing it non-lethal. Was disarming, or something similar, no possibility?
If one takes the role of leader, people should follow him or her, not calling their own shots. It only creates chaos."
Anik said, trying to figure out how she could not get more angry at Sally.

Later boat

Well ... I half expected this. Still, maybe it's on the outside. One can only hope I didn't just fall for superstition. Anik thought, then got up, and drew one sword, trying to deduce if it felt lighter than before. She tried to do the same with her bag.
