Sally sighed, "I'm afraid not, and I don't really care about chinese stuff." Sally told Heno.
She looked at Topaz, "You're in pain because of that, it's clear on your face. Humanity doesn't have Gems- We have a brain. Our brain is tied to our body, and our body is to our brain. When you shoot the skull- They're gone. Forever. You destroy their body, but leave the brain? Likewise. I understand your pain, but remember that." she said.
She looked Cybil in the eyes, "You know what was in the Pitt? A good man, who sought to make a new world. One who looked to create, in a world that only salvaged. But his world was ravaged with Disease, death, and madness- All who entered couldn't breed. He couldn't create life in his world, so he brought it in- He brought in slavers. The slavers wouldn't work the forge to make his new world, so he used their slaves. And he worked to Utopia, and birthed a cure to the disease that ravaged the people there."
She leans back, a far off gaze in her eye.
"The slaves suffered, though. They were worked, they were killed, and they were brought there to work until they died. The man who forged this world had a treacherous assistant. He betrayed him, and was cast down into the hell that he forged to make his future utopia. The traitor went to bring someone to take him down."
Sally glared Cybil in the eyes, "And then I was sent in."
"I went in, worked to overthrow the creator, to remove him from power, to bring the cure to the downtrodden slaves. I fought, I killed, and I worked my way until I could stare him in the eye. It was then I learnt the traitor's history. And then I learnt his. The slave rebellion the traitor worked on sprung as I learned, and I saw the cure. A child."
She looked to the sky. "I met the wife. Relayed the story, tried to convince her to join me, to get rid of the slaves, to make a better future... But I couldn't. She wouldn't yield. She wouldn't listen. I took the child and ran."
She slowly slides down the wall.
"I saw the rebelion. Slaves having their blood spilt, slavers dying left and right. I was lost. I was confused. I didn't know which to choose- The man who intended to set them all free, but built the world off the back of slaves, or the traitor who was born from their ranks."
She looked to the moon. "I went with the traitor. I brought the child to him, and let his heart continue beating. I left the child to a soul who would kill it to get what he wanted." she said, her fist slowly clenching.
"I went down, to turn off the lights and let the beasts in the dark take his home. I stared him and his wife down, as I left the raider camp. I looked him in the eye, tried to tell him that he wouldn't have to wait to make his utopia, wouldn't have to drag slaves here, or build it off of slavers. That he could make it the way he wanted. Halfway through, he tried to shoot me between the eyes. I shot him first. It was that, or die." she said.
She looked Matilda in the eyes. "I saw the look she had in her eyes. It was the same look he bore, that day. I burnt everything I had for this, so why not my life. I knew, it was kill, or be killed. That was why I shot. That was why I killed her."
She looked Cybil in the eyes, "I knew that he would just rebuild it as it was. But I didn't kill him- The slaves would have killed me. I regreted it, for so long..."
She looked to the skies. "Now it's a democracy. It ended decent, with the worst case scenario. I failed, and I know it could be better, but I did my best. I made it the best I could." she said, a hint of sorrow in her voice.
She closed her eyes, "Give me a while, I need to calm down." she said, closing her eyes.
