She cleared her throat a bit before speaking. [color=9f2089]"Something that's helpful to remember is that non-lethal does not mean nice. If you don't have any way to bind your opponent or otherwise restrict them from harming you or others, inflicting pain is a pretty good way to get anyone that still cares about their well being to surrender."[/color] She started explaining. [color=9f2089]"Kick 'em where it hurts most, dislocate an arm or a leg, whatever you think it's gonna take to make 'em think 'Screw this, I give up'. Though you also don?t want to permanently hurt them either. Anything they can heal from is fair game, but think twice about doing anything like cutting off a limb or gouging out someone?s eyes, that?s just as permanent as death."[/color]

Since they were in a huge goddamn city, Sibylla would actually not take any notice of the extremely far away Terminator and kept going about her business of locating food.

"You can take it if it's just left behind, remember? And no one is left, here." Timea responded, her eyes still scanning over the upper layers of the city for a moment. Eventually, she looked down to Hillary, and added, "As for your question, I smell something moving up there. I can't tell what it is, exactly, and that bothers me a little."

Feeling like she adequately made a compromise with Hillary, Timea began moving down the path Sibylla had, but moved a bit slowly so Hillry could easily keep up. "We should go."

Village

One of the villagers agreed to go with the group, to identify the Terminator if necessary. Once all their business was sorted, the group started their journey back to Calibeth City.

Calibeth City

The group arrived in Calibeth City seven hours later, only a few moments behind the Terminator. However, as they were approaching from the east, they would see the gate in front of them had been smashed by the collapsed temple.

Vala

The soldiers Ultron's drones had been escorting arrived in Vala not long after the main group of refugees. They went directly to the northern ward, being allowed in as they were part of the military.

"Ooooooh, fine!" Hillary blurted out, rather quietly but the vigor was still there. "But you're gonna have to put it right back after. I waited a whole lot and you didn't." Hillary quickly started to follow after Timea, not wanting to be left behind.

 

[Silence]

"But ... yes, I understand." Anik replied to Cybil. "You can show me how to dislocate a shoulder when we arrive in Calibeth City. I'm also interested in how you would go at sword-fighting, non-lethally."

Anik would not stop when approaching Calibeth City. She did think the group was still in the desert, because she could not feel many hearts.

 

[Wackymon]

"So. Yeah. Any idea where the temple is?" Sally said.
Sally called to Anik, "Yeah, there's a building at the gate. Only it's ON the gate."
She looks to Cybil, "So. Anyone have a plan?"

 

[Chungus]

Calibeth City​

"If you can convince me to not eat this, I will", Timea answered with a firm nod. Not long after, she added, "I don't like having this tension in the air any more than you do, but keeping you girls safe and healthy is something I'm not taking lightly. I don't know what's out there, but it smells... wrong, and I don't want to take the chance. Do you understand?" At the end of her sentence, Timea spoke more less matter-of-factly, and more gently.

With the main group now at the eastern gate, Anik would be able to sense Timea's heart.

Once the guards had entered the city, Ultron's drones went to stand behind it, after which Ultron spoke to the guard again.

"Not counting the sun dropping from the sky, has this happened before?"

it asked.

His message delivered, Yeager headed into his house, locked the door. And continued work on whatever it was he was doing below the ground.

Calibeth City

As the group looked at the city ruins, they would see a few fires still burning. The high concentration of vegetation had provided a lot of fuel for the flames, as had the inn full of alcohol and the various furnishings, clothes and other such things filling the homes. The centre of the city was an enormous pile of rubble, surrounded by flames. The crystal walls of the cave were no longer reflecting a rainbow, instead simply reflecting the light of the fire.

"Has what happened before?" the guard asked. "If you mean an attack on Calibeth City, no. No enemy army has ever gotten south of Vala." the guard replied.

Following Timea towards Calibeth's eastern gate

"Him." Hillary corrected, walking along rather well while looking over her shoulder from time to time. Hillary nodded in response to Timea's second question though, not realizing Timea didn't have eyes in the back of her head.

Robin looked horrified as he saw the rubble and fire. "This was a gate. And that rubble that collapsed on it... I think that was the temple. It was a sword the size of a mountain. What terrible power brought that down?!" He looked to the others. "We need to find another way in. Does anyone have a map?"

Calibeth City, Day 1 after Sunfall, Lunchtime
After questioning the man for several hours, extracting every bit of information possible, the Terminator spent some time deciding where to go. It's mission parameters had changed, and it could no longer infiltrate the locality. The way north was blocked by the threat of Ultron, the way east held little promise in terms of achieving mission objectives, and to the west was an ocean, also with little promise of large-scale industry. Instead, the Terminator decided to head south, and did so after dispatching of the mook.

 

[Silence]

Calibeth City
"What? What are you talking about?" Anik asked, feeling shivers go down her spine. "We're still in the desert, aren't we? It's still all silent." she asked, not knowing if she should hope for an answer.
She smelled the fires burning, and stopped dead in her tracks.

Feeling Timeas heart, Anik thought: She again.

Upon heading south, the Terminator would discover a number of dead bodies, all of whom had clearly been killed by some mysterious, incredibly strong foe. Further south, across the desert, was a mountain range, inhabited by a Timea, a Hillary and a person named Sibylla.

Calibeth City​

"Him, of course", Timea responded, opting to humour Hillary, finding what to call a corpse not something worth arguing over, even under normal circumstances. She noted Hillary's lack of response to her question, not seeing her nod, which made her think if she had been too harsh. Though these thoughts were quickly set aside.

Following her nose to Sibylla, Timea walked closer to her, calling out, "Sibylla? There's something around here that worries me, we're leaving!"

"That's what I meant, yeah"

, Ultron confirmed, giving a small nod.

"Okay... how long do you think the leadership here will be busy with this situation? I'd like to request a meeting with them, to formally offer what I mentioned before."

[color=9f2089]"Oh no..."[/color] Cybil muttered in horror as she looked at the completely ruined city. [color=9f2089]"Something destroyed the entire city..."[/color] She muttered aloud in despair that would end up getting Anik and Matilda up to speed.

Sibylla was too busy stuffing her face full of "food" to respond to Timea, though while eating she wasn't moving about so Timea wouldn't have a problem finding her.

"It may take a while. I'll make sure they get your request, though." the guard replied.

 

[Wackymon]

Sally looked at it.
"Alright, things fell apart. Almost looks like a nuke fell here. Best guess would be that pre-war thing I heard about, people thinking about replacing nukes by dropping gold rods from the sky on the target."
She looks at Anik, "My bet? Something here fell down with incredible force. I would bet half my stimpacks it was a celestial body, myself, but I understand your skepticism." she said.
Hearing Matilda, she nods, pulling out a long rifle, eleven coils on it's end.
"Whatever it was, I'm worried about whatever can survive that. Do you guys want to take the lead, or should I?" she asked.

 

[Silence]

"But ... how?" Anik added to Matildas question. She slowly began moving again.

She did now concentrate, to sense if there were still any hearts in the city.

About Timea, she thought: Could she have done something like this?
It doesn't fit, unless something really provoked her. And what should have?

"Right." Robin nodded to Mochan, then turned to the others. "I say we head in from the south and work our way to where the temple used to stand. If anywhere will have answers, that will probably be the place. If we can, try and help people we meet along the way. Are you with me?"
