You frown and think for a while before replying to Homer. [color=0066cc]"I'm not sure. I lost all my records when I got here, but it was at least a few months. And then I've been stuck here for a couple of months."[/color] You glance over at the white-haired woman, but decide to let the others speak with her, if they so wish.

"I see", Timea responded, looking back up to the man's face upon finding he didn't have a weapon on him. "And to take down these people, I assume you use sorcery of your own?" she decided to ask, partially just to see what kind of reaction she would get. "You don't seem to carry weapons."

Timea had some idea of what sky-metal might be, but she didn't ask to confirm it, not finding it important enough to do so.

The girl only hung her head a little more as she tapped a finger onto the counter. [color=6666b0] Shitshitshitshit... [/color] She'd look up for a moment, with those pupilless eyes to see someone waving at her. Still a bit distraught, she'd return it awkwardly and quickly went to chug down some of her drink in some effort to calm herself down.

The captain smiled. "You heard right, my friend! Our company prefers to take contracts hunting pirates."

"Of course not. Sorcery is illegal in Calibeth." the man replied. "We use the Miracles of Faotar."

 

[Silence]

Speedy listened very closely to the conversation. Sadly, there seemed to be no answer to how he would get back or to lair 356.

He was thinking about shifting his priorities. The group seemed pretty nice.

"Are there monsters in this world?" he asked the barkeeper, "or any other dangerous beings?"

 

[Chungus]

At this mention, Timea couldn't help but smile a little, both pleased to hear it, and good to know. She now knew to not use "it's magic" as an excuse to explain her abilities, should she be seen using them in Calibeth. Should she ever go there.

"These miracles, I take it it's a gift a some deity?" she asked next, placing a hand on her hip. To clarify in advance, with something of a small smile, she added, "I'm not from this world, so I'm rather clueless about all this."

"Depends what you consider monsters," the bartender said, his brain not quite registering that he was conversing with a hamster. "Pretty much anything can be dangerous, though."

"Yes, the deity Faotar." the female one stated. When Timea announced she was from another world, both of the robed figures turned their heads to look at her, curiously.

 

[Demonjazz]

"Do you have contract, that would end in mainland? Me, and friends need to get there... And do something. We didn't work out a plan past that really."

 

[Chungus]

"You heard right; Another world", Timea said idly, when both figures turned to look at her, giving a small shrug. "Just like the man that spoke to you before, I came here through... well, I haven't a clue. Though we're not from the same place. Probably." After her brief explanation, Timea cocked her head to the side, and looked between the two figures.

"People appearing from other worlds seemed to be common as dirt, too. I've been thinking that it's been happening all over the world. But given the reaction of you two, I assume it's not the case?"

"We'll be passing by the port of Palladein, in Calibeth, next time we head out, but we won't dock there." the captain stated. "We can send you and your friends to shore on boats, though."

 

[Silence]

"Eh, big, scary, no fur? Are there only ... humans here, or other sentient species?"

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"We've never heard of it happening before." the woman stated.

[hr]

"There's more than humans. There's Vesh'Rah, Fennyr, merfolk and elves." the bartender stated. "All of them except the Vesh'Rah have no fur."

 

[Chungus]

"Well, then", Timea began, moving the hand off of her hip and blowing a small sigh. "I'd half hoped you knew how I could go back to my own world. But I suppose I get to skip that question."

With that said, Timea paused for a short moment, then said, "Well. I have two more questions, regarding the mainland. I've heard of large creatures roaming the seas. Are there any comparable creatures on land, on the mainland? By that I mean, large creatures?"

Both of them shrugged. "Not where we're from, in the north. We heard stuff can get pretty big in the south of Calibeth, though."

 

[Chungus]

"I see", Timea responded, noting to not bother going to the north of the land unless absolutely necessary. She then paused once more, indicating a change in subject. "And the last question; Are there any machines like that contraption over there?" she asked, bending her torso and pointing to Jack's bike. "I've seen nothing of the sort, so far."

Both of the robed figures looked at the bike, then back at Timea. "I've never seen anything like that before." the man replied.

Robin decided, since he was in a bad he might as well try a drink. He looked over the selection, trying to find something weak.

The weakest type of alcohol available would be the small bear, the same type of drink Homer had.

Honest Jack approached from behind Robin, and slapped him on the shoulder. "Is our boy thinking of trying out something? You remember a lost love of drinkin'? Tell you what, I'll cover the costs for the toughest drink in the house, hows that sound! Somethin' to put real hair on your chest!"

 

[Chungus]

"Well, that's like music to my ears!" Timea said strangely happily at the news, snapping the fingers on one hand. "Well, that's all the question I have. Have a good day, now!" Giving the two figures a nod, Timea stepped back to Sibylla.

"I learned quite a bit from that", she stated once she stood near Sibylla. "Now, I only need one of these talismans so I can get myself a decent meal. And maybe see if I can get a look at a map or two, then we'll be about set to head out to the mainland."
