You get back up and return from the alleyway when you see Quan Chi once more. As you approach, you make no attempt to hide the burning hatred you have for him. You feel it like a thick blanket over your mind, numbing all other feelings and thoughts. Something deep inside your mind is calling out that this is not how you are, but that voice is getting harder and harder to hear.

"Why do you think Calibeth City is the only city in the empire with smiths?" one of the diplomats asked Cybil. "Vala has, allegedly, got the best craftsmen in the empire, and that's where we're headed."
Another then chimed in, "Incidentally, Calibeth City isn't the largest city. One of the largest, yes, but not the largest."

Quan Chi noticed the expression on Shara's face, but gave a smirk in response. "Now we head south, to find those spellcasters. They likely hold the artifacts. Do you know what cities lie to the south?"

Needless to say, Hillary was very much stunned and excited by Anik's display. The cartwheels and other displays of carny feats was something she wasn't used to seeing, so seeing this was a real treat.
"That was really cool Anik! You did lots of spins and stuff and it was super neat! I wanna do something like that sometime!"
"Last night? Oh ya, um..." Hillary replied, having to think for a moment what Anik was talking about. "No, that's just when slimes get all sleepy, we just kinda, puddle. Sorry I scared you..." Hillary said a bit self consciously.

She took a deep breath, then said: "Well, my reaction also was an overreaction. I could just have asked Timea, before waking you. So - you get all puddly, and you can eat your own fingers and stuff. Say, do you know if are there things that can injure you? Just to be safe."

"It's no problem. I just wish I had known it." Anik said. She panted again, then stopped and added: "Can we stop for a moment? Now it is getting really tiring, talking and dragging this at the same time."

I just know that there are a few villages and farms.[/color] You feel some satisfaction at this small undermining of your enslaver's plans. [color=0066cc]Not to mention that Calibeth City is probably just ruins by now, but I don't know that for sure either. I might have to follow his orders and answer his questions, but I don't need to tell him the whole truth just yet.[/color]

"Hmm. That's okay with me. Once we are closer to the city, I'll change back into that last form, so you can have a proverbial look", Timea answered Anik.
She cast an occasional glance down to Hillary as she talked with Anik, eventually chiming in. "Let's not get ahead of ourselves, Hillary. Before you try and do anything like Anik just did, you first need to get accustomed to running and jumping."
Calibeth City - Day 7 - ~02:00
When Quan Chi stepped through the portal, he would see Calibeth City looked relatively normal. The only obvious destruction was the collapsed temple and ground in the centre of the city. Most of the city was underground, meaning the destruction would be concealed. A single sandstone tree stood at the edge of a street, standing out among the dying vegetation.

As much as you don't want to, you do not have a choice but to follow Quan Chi through the portal. Emerging on the other side, you look around to see that you are once again in the desert. [color=0066cc]I wonder where the others are now. If anyone could break me from this slavery it'd be them. And if they can't, they could at least kill me, which would still be an improvement. On the other hand, I'd maybe be forced to kill them...[/color]

The Doctor decided this was of action would be to go back to Utarra "Their is nothing we can do here"
