The princess looked over the mechs curiously, before looking back at Yeager. "Interesting designs. What can they do?" she asked.

Robin nodded in agreement. "Right. Thank you. You need to bring anything?" He got out of bed, scrounging up his robe and books.

Vala- Day 12 - 26:14

"The big ones, vell they can smash things. They are also incredibly resistant to just about any form of attack, and can use their big arms as makeshift shields or valls. The other ones are quite capable in all around combat, especially ranged combat. It vould be best to show you vhat they can do outside of the city, so we don't damage anything. Of course, I von't be able to show you everything. There are a few things they can do that I'd like to keep hidden for now, at least until it is needed. There could still be spies here after all."

Jantra still was surprised to see the armor float, but took it anyways. "I'll take that as a yes..." He sighed. "Could... could you come with me? I'm not too good with crowds or... things."

Yeager was led out of the city, to a field not too far south of the city gates, where Maribeth stopped. "This should be a suitable place. Will you need anything to demonstrate on?"

Vala Area - Day 15​

Flying off, Timea was away for an hour and forty minutes. In this time, she caught a camel, and an ibex goat. Flying back, Timea dropped the bodies, told Anik to help herself to the camel if she wanted, and announced that she would be eating, further away after greeting her companions. Moving away, Timea turned into a lioness, the size of a small Asiatic elephant, her size allowing her to eat the goat in just 14 minutes.

Once she finished, Timea reverted back to her default form, removed the giants tracks in the sand, and made her way back to her companions. She helped Anik do a few exercises, before going to sleep.

Vala Area - Day 16 - 02:30​

Due to her breakfast doubling as her dinner, Timea slept uneasily, with not enough time having passed since her meal to make her hungry, but still feeling discontented. With her light sleep, she picked up bits and pieces from Anik's conversation with Cybil, although what she did pick up, was incorporated into her dreams.

When the earth rumbled, Timea moaned, eventually waking up. She got into a sitting position with a groan, and looked around, wondering what was going on. Her eyes were drawn towards Calibeth City as the pillar of flame shot out from it, looking on with groggy bewilderment.

Timea was quiet for a time, until the sun formed. "Well, well, well. It's back", she muttered, laying herself back down on her back.

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 16 - 02:30

"It is. Did the earthquake wake you?" Anik said, while clicking and walking towards Timea, now in her original revealing outfit again, aside from being barefoot. She smiled, though it was a little bit uncertain. "I guess we are kind of back at the beginning." she added after a little time of thought. "Only with new means."

Vala Area - Day 16 - 02:30​

"It did, yes. Although I probably would have woken up from the light, if it wasn't for the quake", Timea answered, still sounding a bit groggily. She felt around to the side of her, reaching for the blanket, and deactivating its fire once she found it.

After, Timea craned her head up, looking towards Anik, noting the lack of footwear. "... I suppose we have come full circle, in a way." Laying her head down again, Timea was quiet for a moment, before something clicked to her. "Hmm. New means? Did Cybil speak with you, while I slept?"

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 16 - 02:30

"Yes." Anik said, before sitting down next to Timea. "We now have the means to contact her any time, and she brings us off this world. To wherever we want ...

You were right as well, that she ... or rather another person wants something it return. But it is just a talk, about what Et told us, mainly. So this should be no problem."

Vala Area - Day 16 - 02:31​

"Hmm? Well, that's nice", Timea responded, a bit distant-mindedly; partially so with grogginess, and partially because all her minds were busy taking in the dawnlit sky. She was again quiet for a moment, then sat up, and looked towards Anik. "Hmm. You sound different. You speak with... a sense of finality, I suppose. ... Have you decided on where you would wish to go, then?"

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 16 - 02:31

"I ... still don't really know. But I want a place I could call home, and I am pretty sure that it is not on this world. But where it would be, I don't know either." Anik said slowly. "Some place I feel like I belong to, where I can live, and read, and just ... do whatever I want. How would I even know where to go? Just ... hopping into a portal, and hoping the other side welcomes me with open arms? Is this the way?"

Vala Area - Day 16 - 02:32​

"I... don't think it is. There is taking a leap of faith, but this goes a step further than this, I feel. Whoever might be opening this... "portal" presumably has an idea of what might be on the other side, but he couldn't possibly know the specifics, I do think. You would start out a new life, in a place that's completely new to you, at best. And completely unrecognisable, at worst."

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 16 - 02:32

"I ... kind of already did that, when I arrived here. So I guess I can deal with it again ...
I might search for familiar things when I am somewhere else, so that I'm not completely lost. And ... I hope I can leave the possibility open to visit you. If ... if it would ever be possible." Anik said, then sat quietly, anxious about what the future might hold.

Vala Area - Day 16 - 02:32​

"You came here of your own free will? I didn't know that", Timea responded, a little surprised. Shortly after, however, Timea blew a small sigh. She scooted closer to Anik, then snapped her fingers, and lightly rested the side of her head against Anik's shoulder. "I would love it if we could visit one another. But, I'm not sure it would be possible. I suppose we'll have to ask."

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 16 - 02:32

"No ... I meant I already did kind of start a new life. Or some kind of transition, here. I did not come here of my own free will, but I did not care that I was away from where I am from." Anik explained.

As Timea rested her head against her shoulders, Anik let her own head rest against Timea's head as well, rubbing a bit, but mostly staying still. "Yes, we have to ask. I hope the person I need to do the talk with is really nice, and would allow this. There probably always will be this one way, if you go through it."

Anik felt sad, anxious, and happy at the same time, getting confused by her own feelings, and relying on Timea to stabilise this, until she got a hold of her feelings again.

Vala Area - Day 16 - 02:33​

"Ah, I see. I understand what you mean. Well, let's hope the start of this new chapter in your life will be with more stability than the start to this one."

After saying this, Timea was quiet for a moment. Her feelings were more stabile; she was looking forward to moving on, and hopeful that it would be like she hoped it would be, but also apprehensive, fearing she might not find what she would look for, or if it existed, at all.

"Well... ", she began, eventually. "When will you contact Cybil for this? I would like it no sooner than this night, so the three of us may spend one last day together."

 

[Silence]

Vala Area - Day 16 - 02:33

"We still could wait days, but yes ... this whole day at least, just doing fun things together, without worrying about things. I want this as well. Definitely. No question. I would wish this moment would last forever ..."

She was quiet after that, just listening to her and Timea's heartbeats.

Femesh Daer - Day 12

While Yeager was in Vala, the mech presence in Femesh Daer started to increase dramatically. Soon, a person would be able to find at least one in every street, and multiple in busier areas, especially near the gates.

Vala - Day 12, 26:16

Spoiler: Reminder of what the new crab robit looks like

Yeager had some wooden planks arranged as targets, and then demonstrated the mechs in the same way he had in Vala. There were some differences from the Vala demonstration, due to the new model of the crab bot. The caliber of its arm guns had increased, the spinning blades on its legs were bigger, and the 6 differently angled cylinders on the top of the tower part of its head were able to fire explosive rounds at different angles and distances. The other functions of the tower remained hidden. The wooden planks sadly stood no chance.
