As Heno fell, Topaz let out a short yelp and crumbled beneath him with only minimal resistance. With a 'poof' noise, Topaz's body turned into a few yellow clouds, which quickly dissipated, leaving only Topaz's gem behind.

Luckily for Heno, Aqua was still upset from the argument and looking out to sea in the other direction, so she didn't notice.

She was flabbergasted, not really knowing if Topaz would recover from this. Her expression was much like "".

Heno looked down to Topaz's gem with a look of shock, and horror. He fell to his knees and, cradling Topaz's gem, after taking everything in he started weeping. "... I am a murderer!" He screamed to the sky as tears went down his face.

Robin turned as Heno shouted, going over to him. "What is it?"

 

[Demonjazz]

"I... I... murdered, poor stone man! I fell on him, and then he died!"

 

[Slenn]

"Your guess is as good as mine, Robin. I'd surmise he's dead, but I'm not sure. Could he reform somehow? I mean topaz is a tough crystal."

Jane started laughing at Topaz. "Well her isn't that tough, eh princesses?" she said between laughs and nudged Emily in the stomach with her elbow.

Homer walked over to Aqua and nervously taped her shoulder.

Robin looked at the gem, trying to see if there was anything odd about it.

OoC: He basically has Head-Up-Display vision. Up to you if he can tell what's going on.

"I went from happy, to frustrated, to confused in one whole day." She responded to Jane. "Oh, wha? Toughness? Topaz should have a Mohs hardness of at least 7. Diamond has 10."

EMily might remember Topaz saying that Gems couldn't be killed unless their actual gemstone was shattered.

"What is it now?" Aqua angrily asked Homer.

"I'd say he's more of a 2." Jane said with a snicker.

Homer stammered for a moment, then pointed at Heno, who was holding Topaz.

"Wait... Topaz did say something about they can only die if their gemstone was shattered. Topaz might just need some time to recover."

"Well this should give you both time to cool off." Jane said as she walked back to the ship rail. She looked at Emily to see if she would follow.

Aqua effortlessly pushed Homer aside and to the ground, then summoned her mace as she walked towards Heno. "How? Why?! NOW!" She demanded.

She took a deep breath and went along with Jane.

"I actually never got to ask more about where you're from. How did you and Homer meet? Did you and Homer first meet outside the military before joining?"

 

[Demonjazz]

Heno was too overcome with grief to hear EMily. He turned to Aqua obviously distraught. "I accidentally fell on him! He just died! I crushed him to dust!"

 

[Slenn]

"He didn't die!" EMily yelled over, turning her head as best she could. "You have to shatter their gem to kill them. You didn't do that."

Aqua sighed in anger and frustration, then held out her empty left hand towards Heno. "Give me his gem."

"I didn't meet him until we were both picked for squad seven. Never really talked with him after that either." Jane replied.

Robin sighed as EMily clarifies the situation, but was still nervous about Aqua's reaction.
