Faa didn't like being told what to do but accepted it was the best thing for him right now. Complaints and pride meant little to a dead Scath. "Erm, okay then." As he followed he shuffled nervously "Just a warning I've never been in a serious fight in my life. Just a heads up"
When speaking normally, without the collar he was a lot less formal and proper.

[color=ff9966]"I've just got a magic potion that will help make you more powerful. But, you know, if you'd prefer eternal damnation, I can just go."[/color] She answered Candace and nonchalantly pointed over her shoulder at the door.

"Again, not how it works." Yauna told Nina, and, by extension, Candace.

Zevrisya stopped outside the door to the portal room, and tapped the head of her cane against the wood. [color=660099]"Don't worry, I can handle the fighting myself. It's just good to have a full set of eyes."[/color]

"A potion?" Candace asked. "What's in it? How will it affect me?" She looked to Yauna, thinking it over in her head, noting that so far Nina's way seemed a lot less drastic.

Nina reached behind her back for a moment, seemingly reaching into her pockets, then pulled out and presented a small, slender, transparent vial, filled with a shimmering, opaque liquid, the color of which changed between the various colors of the rainbow based on the angle it was observed at. [color=ff9966]"This potion is made out the joyful tears of a Unicorn. When a worthy person drinks it, it unlocks their true potential. You'll get stronger, faster, tougher, and it will draw out the magical powers of your spirit."[/color] Nina explained.

Yauna glanced at the liquid, and she began to examine the potion magically. "I'd like to point out that these processes aren't mutually exclusive." she said.

"What do you mean worthy?" Candace asked, sure she was but curious.

 

[Drakmorg]

Yauna would find that the potion was indeed magic, and filled to bursting with Essence of Life, so it would in all likelihood work as advertised.

"'Noble in body and spirit'. Or at least that's what I was told, anyway. I'd hazard a guess that it doesn't include people who sell their souls to Devils."

 

[Vakra jal]

"I've got the eyes then." Examining the door Faa was a bit nervous of entering due to the fact he'd take a lot of space up in the hall way. He would have to tuck his wings in at the very least.

 

[Silence]

"So it is a classic tale of ignorance and fear ... You may call me miss ... Richelieu." the woman said, having a glance at a supermarket sign behind them.

"Thankfully, this ritual doesn't involve selling souls to anyone, and in fact doesn't involve devils or demons at all." Yauna said.

"Ready when you are" Faa said, calming himself. He began whispering to himself "Come on Given of Flame, show courage, remember you are trained, you aren't helpless."

 

[Silence]

Faa and Zevrisya would, after a bit of time, see the portal guards walk out of the portal room, confused, not really knowing what had happened, but unharmed.

Zevrisya stepped aside, lowering her cane. [color=660099]"What happened here?"[/color] she asked.

Faa made sure to be behind Zevrisya as the portal guards exited. He was tense and bore himself low to the ground with his wings half unfurled and his tail curved back in on itself.

 

[Silence]

"Umm ..." some of them started, until one of them spoke up. "I don't really know, and I think the others don't, either.
We were guarding this portal, it changed, and then - I can't remember. We just walked back from beyond it, being handcuffed ..." he held his hands before his hands. "... which we aren't anymore, either.

There were some ... XPOL agents ... it's all hazy, I keep forgetting ..."

 

[Vakra jal]

"I don't like the sound of that" Faa hummed, calm enough to speak through the collar again. He was relieved it was just some Hrem who had emerged.

Portal Station

[color=660099]"Well, go find somewhere to rest. And get some food for Faa here."[/color] Zevrisya said, as she entered the portal room.

 

[Silence]

"Umm ... okay." the guard said.
They talked to another about who should get the food, and accompany Faa, until another male guard agreed to do it.

While the others went home, still quite confused, the guard asked: "What do you eat?"

"Meat" he hummed. "Strictly carnivorous. I don't want to be a nuisance but it's incredibly kind of you to help" he was so relieved right now
