[Silence]

"Oh no. Where did you get that idea?
There were elves where I come from, and then there were elves in the world I traveled. Elves don't seem to be too rare. But they seem to keep to themselves most of the time."

"If they and mages exist, and are offering magical objects, perhaps I should find them..."

 

[Silence]

"Why are you obsessed with them? There is nothing particularily interesting about mages. I can do a little bit of magic too, with the ring I am wearing, but ..."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"I'm looking for magical artifacts. And you're a mage too?"

 

[Slenn]

A young female waitress in typical work clothes and well mannered make up greets the 5 people.

"Hello! Table for how many?"

"Just five, thank you."

"Right this way, please."
The waitress would lead them over to a dark brown polished dining table that could fit six, three on each side. In front of each chair was a bamboo placemat with silverware wrapped in a cloth napkin. When people would take their seats she would hand out the menus.

Shana took her seat. If people were to look around, they could see plenty of dishes being served: steak, burgers, chicken (both grilled and fried), fish, chips or french fries, mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, fruit salads, regular salads, cole slaw, lagers, and ales.

 

[Silence]

"Not really, I can just ..." Anik started, and held her hands together, like a cup. She then slowly formed a bubble of water. slightly floating above them. "... do stuff like this. And like I said, only because of the ring I am wearing.

Maybe you can ask if some of the people selling this material came here as well? Then you could buy something like that, too." Having said that, she let the bubble softly rain down and vanish into the air.

Anik followed the others to the table, after. After sitting down, she said: "I doubt they have the menue in Braille. Could ... one of you read it to me?"

Candace nodded to Anik, followed the others to the table, sat down, and scowled as she looked at the menu and realised how little money they actually had.

 

[Slenn]

The prices on the menu ranged from 5 to 10 dollars. Only house specials went up to $15. In addition to grilled items (chicken, beef, fish), chips, salads, and drinks, there were also soups available.

"Chicken, Soup, beef... OK, this place isn't that bad. But what's Cola?"

 

[Silence]

"I think I would like beef, chips and a soup." Anik said, being quite hungry. "Cola is one unnatural kind of juice.
I will take water."

 

[Slenn]

"Oh, that's a drink. Served chilled. It's fizzy, bubbly, and sweet." The waitress informed. Should probably update our descriptions for interdimensionals.

"I'll have water as well." Shana said. And the waitress marked it down, as well as Anik's order.

"Let's start with drinks first. I'll return with drinks in a moment to allow some time to decide."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"I may as well try some. Cola please." Candace decided.

 

[Slenn]

She jotted it down.
"And what will you be having to drink?" She asked Viyang.

[color=663399]"What's unnatural about it?"[/color] Viyang asked Anik, before asking the waitress for a quick explanation of what each of the items were. After receiving that, Viyang ordered herself a Cola and a burger.

 

[Silence]

"It often has stuff in it that's produced by machines, flavour that is not what it tastes like, and I heard the colour is often unnatural as well.
... it's more the things I smell here, though. I think you can create this naturally as well."

 

[Slenn]

She noted it down. And turned to Gash.
"And you? Actually if you're ready to order your food, then go right ahead. I'll come back with drinks first."

"In that case, I'll have the steak as well with chips." Shana said.

"Ah, okay."

 

[username sucks]

Gash didn't even look at her menu. "Do you have tea? I want tea." She told the waitress, while trying to find a place to put her gigantic sword.

 

[Slenn]

"Yes, we can give you an iced tea. I'll be back in a moment with the drinks." That sword looks heavy. "You can set the sword against the wall near the entrance. Just make sure it doesn't obscure traffic. I doubt anyone else might be able to lift it."

She went off to grab the drinks. She would return by the time Gash would set up her sword.

 

[Silence]

"I wonder if the youth in this city is satisfied with their situation." Anik said while waiting, trying to start a conversation.

"What do you mean?" Candace asked Anik.
