Lambda watched Sarah and Taner talk, unsure what to think. Reinhardt stood by, keeping an eye out for lions as per his word.

"I think I've had my fill of rural Africa. Let's get somewhere with AC." I say, looking from Sarah to Lambda.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Well I don't really know where to begin..." Lambda admitted to him.

 

[Silence]

[color=99d039]"Alright then. They are bound to have AC somewhere in the city, maybe a hotel."[/color] Sarah said, then jumped back into the truck.
[color=99d039]"Get on!"[/color]

I get into the truck and pat a spot next to me for Lambda.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

Lambda entered the truck, sitting in the spot Taner offered. Reinhardt jumped on the back, but called to Sarah. "Excuse me fraulein, but may I ask question?"

"Does your job let you travel much?" I say to Lambda.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Not really. I mostly stayed in my office, but there's been... an upheaval recently." Lambda told him.

 

[Silence]

Sarah looked back to Reinhardt. [color=99d039]"Sure, you may. What is it?"[/color]

"I think I've noticed. Are there a lot of people on your field?"

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Not many specialising in people form other worlds." Lambda admitted.
"You charged into battle earlier, but now you're nervous about putting on some sunscreen. Is everything alright?" Reinhardt asked her.

 

[Outisakanobody]

"Hmm. Any job openings?" I ask with a grin.

 

[Silence]

[color=99d039]"Uhh ... yeah, everything is alright.
I just feel more confident with my costumes on, that's all. How I look right now, I'm just a normal girl."[/color]

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"I think so..." Lambda said tentatively.
"And without my armour I am but an old man. But that doesn't slow me down!" Reinhardt told her, his voice somber at first but sound triumphant later. "The suit or the weapon or whatever you use is irrelevant. It is the reason you picked it up in the first place that makes you a hero, and that is not so easily stripped away."

 

[Silence]

[color=99d039]"I ... thank you for saying that. But it's not that I don't feel like ... uh ... some kind of hero or anything. It's just that if I am in my costumes, I play a role. And in these roles, I am comfortable. So I play, for example, the role of superhero. But it is still a bit detached from ... my normal life. And in my normal life, I am, well, I don't know how to play myself."[/color]

 

[Outisakanobody]

"Well, what does it pay? What kind off benefits are we talking about?"

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"I cannot say. Things are turbulent right now." Lambda told him.
Reinhardt sighed. "I am afraid I cannot help you there. My life hasn't been normal for a long time."

 

[Silence]

Sarah smiled. [color=99d039]"It's no problem. I'm quite used to it - have fun doint it, by now. Don't really need much help."[/color]

"Do you get a salary? Vacation days? Is there a special certification process?" I ask Lambda, hungry to know more. Knowledge is power, and this might be an interesting job to have if I end up staying here for a long time.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Well it has standard benefits, of course." Lambda told him. "I'm not sure if there would be any special applications or requirements. I am the first."
