"Alright." Anik said, giggled, and smoked some more. She then turned to Ella.

"I was brought here by myself, thank you very much." she said, jokingly. "Although the anomaly might have played a part in it.
Want a smoke?"

"Good. I am agent Ella Beckers, of the international police organisation UN-ECPO." - Ella said, smartening up slightly and then replying to Anik; "No thank you, I'm on duty." She then cleared her throat, and continued; "Now then, I have been assigned to accompany you during your time in our dimension. This is both to protect you, and the general populace. I can also help you with any questions or troubles you have with our society."

"Your help would be greatly appreciated." Candace told her with a smile. Seems she would always have some servants after all. She looked to Tresh and Nina, and her smile dipped a little.

 

[Slenn]

"Thank you for joining us. So you're an actual native to this universe?" She asked Ella, intrigued.

[color=663399]"Well, in that case, you might be interested to know that a man claiming to be human began yelling at people in a restaurant, and started to catch fire, briefly."[/color] Viyang informed Ella.

Kuki, having subconsciously lowered itself into Anik's pocked enough that it could just about peek over it, hesitantly looked away from Dalahar, to Ella, quickly looking back, just to be safe, then back to Ella again.

"Umm... "

, they started.

"Is the giant automaton necessary?"

"Fair enough." Anik said and smiled. "So you work with Lambda?" she added, her brain combining the roles of the two. "Can you answer us why a guy just literally started to fume?" She giggled again.

 

[Kirke]

Downtown Montreal
"I am." - Ella replied to Shana; "From Belgium, more specifically." - She then looked over at Anik and Viyang. "[small]Ah, merde...[/small]" - She said, quickly adding; "Another man died that way earlier today. Where did this man go?" Glancing at the rodent, she replied; "That's no automaton, he's a man in armour."

 

[Chungus]

Downtown Montreal. March 1st.​

Hearing Ella's explanation, Kuki gave audible reply, dumbfounded. Those with a strong sense of smell might smell a sharp scent coming from Kuki.

Composing themselves shortly after, the smell stopped faded away, after which Kuki listened to the exchange between Ella and the rest, having no answer to Ella's question.

"He got into ... One of those... What are those, carriages?" Candace asked, unsure what a car was. "How are those propelled without horses?"

 

[Slenn]

"He went off in a car in that direction." She answered Ella, pointing.

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"What's a car?" Candace asked Shana.

 

[Slenn]

"It's a vehicle. It has an internal engine. Although, I have to say, they look much different than the ones I'm accustomed to."

 

[Kirke]

Downtown Montreal
"What she said, but did you get it's number?" Ella asked Candace, then realised she probably wouldn't know what Ella was talking about. "The car had a metal plate with four letters followed by three numbers, do you remember what those were?"

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Like a train?"

 

[Slenn]

"Yeah, but a lot smaller." She said to Candace.

"Ummm... let me try and recall the license plate as well as the color." She closed her eyes as she tried to remember.

 

[Silence]

Anik listened to the conversation, not feeling like she could add anything. She puffed her smoke in different ways, but had gotten serious after having heard that someone had died from fuming.

After she was done smoking, she stubbed out the joint with her fingers, then tossed it on the street. She then unfolded her cane and put on her gloves again.

Downtown Montreal. March 1st.​

Listening in on the conversation, mulled over things, eventually, and a bit hesitantly, poking their head further out of Anik's pocket. While Shana was thinking, they asked,

"Umm. So, a person bursting into flames like this has happened before. How did the person from this morning die? And, have there been more cases like this, before it?"

Shana would recall that it was a black car and would possibly be able to recall the license plate number as well, depending on how good her memory was and how good of a look she got at the car.

Anik would hear someone say something as they walked past her, in an unfriendly manner, but unless she could speak French she wouldn't know what was said. If she could speak French, she might pick up on the fact that she was being insulted.

"It was black. I think the plate read..." She rocked her head for the details, and gave 1 letter and all the numbers.
