"Alright, thanks!" Anik said to Lambda with a big smile. After Kuki had spoken, she also added: "So, should we wait here until you made the phonecalls? Or can you do them while showing us to a room?"

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Hmm... Perhaps the Old Port or the Notre-Dame Bascillia. Oh, and the Biodome is nice too. Lambda suggested to Kuki. She looked to Anik. "There are some hostels and homeless shelters around the city." Focusing on both of them, she said "And I can't give an exact time on when you'll get a place to stay, but don't worry, it'll be today. You won't have to rough it."

 

[Slenn]

"Now that's just not fair." Shana commented with humor while looking at Viyang jumping between buildings with ease. "Not everyone here has electrical jumping super powers."

 

[Silence]

"Alright, so we should start sightseeing, until you call us back, about the permission and the place to stay?" Anik asked Lambda, to be sure she did not need anything more. "Do you know how long it would take to get a guide?"

She then turned her head downwards, to Kuki. "I hope you are good in describing things."

"Placebo what?" Candace asked. She noticed Viyang doing electric superjumps. "How on Ter is she doing that?"

"Up to you. And I can get a guide for you quite quickly."

 

[Chungus]

Montreal, Pointe-Saint-Charles, Port. March 1st.​

"I meant, when can we expect to hear back from you after you've looked in to who's running this sudden ignition investigation? How long will this take?"

Kuki clarified.

Shortly after Anik spoke, Kuki looked up to her.

"Umm... I guess I could try, Anik? But I think it might be better to wait until we go sight-seeing until we have the guide with us."

 

[Slenn]

"I can explain as we catch up to them." We can walk over there. "Say for example, you are given a pill or a tablet that you've been told helps increase happiness or another emotion. But the apothecary knows for a fact that it's fake; The pill will do essentially nothing. But you will want to feel happiness and you expect happiness from this pill. So you will, in turn, feel happier. Even though the pill did nothing."

"Similarly for the 'feral' Fenrir. They think that the wolf genes assist in some sort of murderous ferocity. They want to go into a berserk mode, and they feel like they have an advantage. When in reality the wolf genes do exactly nothing in terms of mentality. What their rage comes from is ordinary human anger. That's at least how it's been explained to me."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"That may take a while..." Lambda answered Kuki sheepishly.

"...strange." Candace said quietly, trying to reconcilr this with her understanding of bloodlines.

 

[Kirke]

Ella nodded and followed Dalahar, chuckling to herself over the sheer absurdity over what just happened. It was that or cry.

 

[Slenn]

She continued walking.
"Yes, it is. But most alarming. The ones that get wrapped up in this mentality are quite hard to get back. They are part of the Clan known as 'Odin's Demise'. It is the primary reason why we face harassment day after day."

"And my mission, my clan's mission, is to eliminate this fear and harassment."

"They sound like utter degenerates." Candace said, disgustedly.

"We will wait for a guide here ... or in the waiting room, then, that's fine." Anik said. "Do your thing, Lambda! I hope we won't be stuck here for too long. I don't like crowds."

 

[Slenn]

"However degenerate they might be." She stated. "We cannot kill them. If we do so, we'd be completely undermining the mission statement of the Nuclear Winter Clan. Furthermore, we'd only be reinforcing stereotypes. Even worse, the humans would banish us from their cities. There are still a quantity of humans that trust Nuclear Winter's mission and require power when needed from our ability. If they were to see us kill one another, all of us would be looked upon as monsters."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Well you are." Candace said bluntly, not meaning to be offensive but stating it as simple fact. "You're not human, from a biological point of view."

"Of course." Lambda said to Anik.

 

[Chungus]

"Oh. Well, that's all right. I'm not in a big hurry!"

Kuki said, fidgeting around in Anik's pocket.

"There's one thing I'm wondering, though. Unrelated. Anik said you sound a bit like me, but I don't see anything like a speaker on you? It looks like you talk like every else does. Am I just missing something?"

 

[Vakra jal]

"You're bravery is astounding." He said "all of you did." He was very melancholic. "Worthy of an astartes. I
Must speak with everyone about this"

 

[Slenn]

"Genetically speaking, I'm a different species. But humans and fenrir are just two different species of animals. Both of us have the choice of being the monster or the healer. Candace, you have to understand one critical thing: 'monster' does not refer to someone's appearance in this context. It refers to what's going on on the inside. After all, it is not our abilities and appearances that make us who we are. It is our choices."

She took a breath.
"Say you came across a protest group. They're in the hundreds. They're protesting that they're having underpaid wages. Now then, you could either choose to understand why they're poor in the first place. Or, you could treat them as degenerates. A bad choice here could leave a bad mark. These people could've been born into a poor society with no choice but to live in it for the majority of their lives. Or there could be an unfair stereotype against these individuals that's giving others around them an invisible 'privilege' that these poor people don't."

 

[Gearhead mk2]

"Ugh, poor people..." Candace rolled her eyes. She looked to Tresh, curious.

"I am a cyborg." Lambda told Kuki, speaking up a bit so the synthesised edge to her voice was more obvious.

 

[Slenn]

She sighed, facepalming. "Someday I'm sure you'll understand."

"The rest of the group is on their way to the port." She told Tresh.

""Excellent" he said, ignoring the comment about being poor. What could he possibly need with money. "I've been a distraction for long enough." He said with renewed purpose. "There is a mystery at hand. Come let us move"
