"It's ink put into the skin to change the colour. Usually in a pattern or an image. Sort of like... a painting, but on the skin. As for how it survived, I don't know. I don't think it should be able to." the coroner replied.

"It's far too cloak and dagger for me" he said.
He looked at Viyang. "Sorry" he said before facing away again.

Ella held out her arm so the tattoo was visible to Kuki. "I've got a tattoo myself, though it is different from ordinary ones."

OoC: I just checked on Wikipedia, apparently tattoo ink is far enough below the skin's surface that it remains even if the skin is burnt. Might be different considering the inside-out approach this guy took towards burning.

"Huh... . Maybe this ink is extradimensional in makeup?"

Kuki mused. They wondered in silence for a moment, and looked between Candace and Shana, afterwards.

"Umm... , Candace, Shana? You two saw this other case, didn't you? Did that one have any markings on their body?"

After asking their question, Kuki looked towards the arm Ella held out, looking to see if there were any similarities between it and the late Mr.Hothead.

"Really? What is it used for?"

While they were at it, Kuki analysed Ella's physiology, like they had done with others, before, although wouldn't take the time to look much further than the basics.

"It's for identification and information. If you scanned it with a special bar-code scanner you'd get my name, the one on my upper arm has my ID number. I've also got my blood-type tattooed on my neck in plain text. That's mostly for quick identification, there's computer chips embedded into my forearm to give more detailed info if you've got the right scanner." - Ella replied, casually. Kuki would find that Ella was completely human (Well-trained), aside from the computer chips in her arm and the tattoo paint. Looking at her torso might prove slightly difficult, as her armour was a dense weave of fibres.

Not knowing what else to go on, Anik chimed in: "I remember that the other guy who started to get hot did not even really realize that he burned himself. He was just too angry.

So he probably would not even know he got these tattoos? Or did get them for some other reason, and it affected his mood and his ... burning without him realizing?"

If the ink of Ella's tattoo was just normal Earthly ink in terms of chemical make-up, it would be almost identical to the ink on the burned man. The differences would be solely due to the different pigments.

Ella's tattoo was very high-quality, made from ink designed to not fade as ordinary ink did.

"Not that I saw." Candace said, her speech slightly muffled by the hands clamped over her mouth.

"For earlier" he said. "The first time I changed. It was a lot different the second time round, you had it the worst I believe" he looked left then right.

"Oh, I see! It's probably not related, but at least now I have a good picture of what a tattoo is"

, Kuki commented, unable to gaze through the vest if it was thicker than a regular kevlar vest, but returning their vision to normal, regardless.

Aside from telling it was there when not strictly vissible, Kuki couldn't identify inorganic materials any better than a normal person could, so they didn't see the makeup of Ella's tattoo was the same as Mr.Hothead's.

"Well, we don't know if the second case also has this tattoo. For all we know, that this one survived is just a coincidence, Anik"

, Kuki commented on hearing Candace.

"Well, at any rate, I think I've done all I can here."

"Right." Anik said. "I doubt I can be of much help, either. So, let's go." Anik said, turned, and started retracing her steps out of the building.

Outside, she breathed in and out. "What an awful stench in there." she stated.

As opposed to playing about in the snow as one would normally expect a child to do, Nina seemed utterly perplexed by it. She was obviously fascinated by it, but wasn't entirely sure what to even do with it.

Candace stayed behind for a bit, looking at Ella's tattoo in surprise, then back to the body. "Now what will happen to the body?"

The snow, being snow, offered no advice on what to do with it, though it did start clumping together and forming shapes as Nina moved it.

[color=663399]"I appreciate the apology, regardless."[/color] As she spoke, she watched Nina inspect the snow, then asked. [color=663399]"You don't get much snow where you're from, do you?"[/color]

"Well, I'll check to see if the tattoo seems relevant to the case. If you see the other guy again, try to look for a tattoo. But so far, it seems like the cause might be external." the coroner stated. She then said to Candace, "I'll finish the autopsy to try and determine the cause of the ignition. Then we'll try to confirm the identity, contact next of kin and then he'll be buried."

 

[Vakra jal]

"Understood, you know what it takes to get win" he said as he looked at Nina. Kyrys, the daemon had reformed its name since as it had understood language better, was present slightly Dalahar. No changes of form, Dalashar doubted he could remove his helmet and he felt the cold air against his armour as if it were skin.
"Never seen snow before?" He asked,

"I didn't really pick up on much. But, I'll take your word for it!"

Kuki responded, then looked to those who waited outside, calling out,

"we didn't really learn anything from this. So I guess we're back to being at a dead end."

After saying this, Kuki paused.

"So, now that we've done this, are you going to contact this guide, Anik?"

 

[Silence]

- Rue Notre-Dame -​

"I will." Anik answered Kuki. She took out her phone, held it close to her ear and started searching the number of the guide with audio response. Then she called.

"Hi! I'm Anik!"
"Yes, I'm the blind extradimensional traveler or something like that."
"We are just outside the mortuary."
"No worries, we already looked at the body!"
"Right. See you soon!"
"That's a manner of speech. I use that too. Bye."

Then she hung up. "He should be here, soon."

Nina looked up and shook her head at Dalahar and Viyang. [color=ff9966]"My head isn't clearing up when I think about this 'snow' stuff. I don't think I have anything in there about it."[/color]

Kuki kept quiet as Anik made her call, looking down to the ground, at the snow.

"So we don't have to wait very long? That's good"

, they said once Anik finished her call. They kept looking at the snow for a moment longer, then looked to Viyang.

"Viyang? I was going to ask, earlier, but I got sidetracked. But, could you give a small demonstration of what you can do with your magic?"
