"Birthstars? Oh you mean zodiac and horoscopes. Well, it's hard to say because no one really believes in that any more. If you wanted an answer that's based around things in space, I mean I could hazard a guess. Well, even before going into space, astronomers realized that the stars are not a part of a fixed sphere. They are actual objects that we can travel to. In fact the sun that's above us right now is a star, but close up. The constellations around other planets will be much different because they're points in 3D space. And then we have discovered several extraterrestrials who originated outside of Earth growing up under different stars. My guess is that people started to believe in them less because they realized the universe was much larger than they could've imagined."

Contacted by Blue, the representative received the call, opening by stating his name; this being Holent. "Is this relating to the task you set out to do, or a different matter?"

While Holent spoke to Blue, the Forefront dimensional monitoring division was beginning wise up to Tombstone's activity. While their first portal was disregarded as a glitch in the system, after testing and finding no fault, and a second signal appearing on the corp's return to Earth, questions regarding the matter were raised.
Still, the activity was well-hidden, with the information on energy signatures coming in as gibberish, making Forefront unable to tell what the activity was, or where it came from, for now.

To keep it short: Keeping up our portal will prove more difficult and dangerous the more time goes by. So ... I want to close it, despite not succeeding in our task. I want to use your portals instead, with support from our mages. Montreal is not the best location, either, so being more flexible in where we could arrive would be useful." Blue said. "I also suspect Yauna betrayed us, but she saved us at the same time, too. So ... I'm not too bothered by it, but I will kill her if I see her again." she added, casually.
"As for Anik, I need to overthink how to approach her. She is a lot different than I thought she would be. We will search for her, and if you can, you could help too, but I do not yet have a plan how to proceed if we find her."

He was, however, pleased to hear Blue was still intending to shut down the portal. This would put Forefront in a stronger bargaining position.
"With that said, however, I'd like a report of what happened. What happened in the field? What went wrong?"

She was silent for a bit, then said simply: "As suspected, XPOL had some magic defenses, and Yauna proved to weak to hold Anik. So instead, she cast her away - according to her to our world. But Yauna vanished after, and we cannot find Anik here through magic means. I strongly suspect Anik was sent somewhere else.
XPOL is still at a disadvantage, we just have no idea where Anik went.
I have another request now, though: Could you create a file about the Canadian prime minister and his/her staff?"

She thought for a moment. "I would still like you to open a portal to the city called Ottawa. I would like to have reign about opening and closing it, too."

"Forgive me for my misunderstanding then. I had assumed that the horoscopes were developed in a similar way as here. But that does make me wonder as to what the stars are for you in your universe. In mine they are huge nuclear fireballs with lifetimes on the order of billions of years."
"Hold on. I want to see more of this "Blastia" phenomenon." Candace replied. "And what do you mean? First contact usually goes well."

"We have espionage capabilities. However, we aren't equipped to break into databases. However, depending on what kind of address you're after, we might still be able to find it." With this said, Holent paused, taking a small breath.
"But let's get back to this. As for your request to the portal, we can transport you there. However, we haven't automated the process that change our portal's energy signature, it will still need to be done manually, by your people. As such, no portable device can be used, without being tracked.
If we dispatch a relay beacon to the area, however, you could call in whenever you need the portal."
