Blazing Saddles was and is a great film. There is NO WAY that movie would get made today. Anybody ever seen the original version of The Producers? Ugh, was that one ever overrated.

Blazing Saddles. Spaceballs was good, but I only really enjoy the scenes Dark Helmet is in. The other half of the plot wasn't nearly as funny.

Just something I heard.

He is Jewish, which is probably how it gets away with Jewish jokes. He did one thing called the producers which features Hitler and Nazi and he said on a talk show he was "the Jew who benefited most from the Nazis" or words to that effect

That was Mel Gibson. One strong difference is that Mel brooks makes good funny movies and Gibson make shitty serious movies. ( I never liked any of his movies )
