Peter nodded to the crew. "Ok, gentlemen. I've got what I needed out of this. You all are free to do as you want. I'll be heading off into the city. Remember the meeting time, and be sure to try and keep yourselves out of trouble."

He walked off, heading into the city. He looked around and saw various people murmuring and talking, the docks bustling with activity and the shops with big advertising. "I suppose my first stop would be to find a place to stay for the night... or maybe I can go and have a little fun..."
At the Ivory Oyster resort, all sorts of people of wealth and fortune came to relax and enjoy the services. Near one of the more luxurious pools sat a middle-aged man, a long red coat hung over the chair he sat in, with what looked to be a large curved head of a spear on the back of it. The man had a small mustache, a slightly grey shade of black along with his longer hair. An oak walking stick lay beside him. This man was Inshi Yarrakona, leader of the Yarrakona family.

A young looking man in a suit came up to him. "Oyabun... news has come in... the mayor has been killed by that vigilante. The men there say they have managed to wound them this time."

Inshi did not seem to stir "It was only a matter of time before they got tired of killing thugs and went up higher on the food chain... this action cannot be ignored any longer. Has the news been leaked yet?"

The thug nodded "We are keeping the reports as silent as we can. All they know is that there has been an attack." "And have the Marines been contacted?" "We tried, but there has been no response..."

Inshi got up and put on his coat. "Any news on what Tozani has been preparing to do in response to this?" "His activities are still as well hidden as ever, sir." "We need to hurry this up... the news reports from the rest of the West Blue have been very troubling. We can't afford to keep meddling with Tozani and deal with this new pest." He grabbed his stick and started heading back to an office. "I'll be at my office..."
The Marine outpost in Lasklee was very smaller than most, under-supplied and seemed somewhat run-down. The man in charge was asleep, a thin man with brown hair arranged into a ponytail that went halfway down his back. His eyes were constantly hidden by his hat, a little too big for his head. His shirt was unbuttoned with a red shirt beneath it, leaning back in his chair.

Another Marine burst in. "Sir!" the man in charge instantly spiked up and tried to look awake "Huh, what is it, what's going on? I told you not to disturb me unless it's important..." "Uh, we've spotted one of our ships coming in from the east..." The guy at the desk scratched his head. "Well, go get someone to go bring them here. What do you think they want?"

The grunt shrugged "We aren't sure. It seems their communications units have been busted. We'll send for someone to escort them here." "You go do that" the man at the desk yawned, waving him out. Maybe these guys are here to relieve me... I've been trying to get a transfer from this boring hellhole for ages now...

'That did not go as planned. Next time need to not get mad, that's when mistakes are made. Foolish,' the Archer thought to themselves as they hopped from rooftop to rooftop at a slow pace, or at least slower than they wanted to. 'Just need to get back to base, I'm certain I have enough supplies to fix myself up at the least.

They turned and looked back behind them to see a thin trail of blood that marked the path they had taken to get away from Town Hall. 'Foolish.' The thought echoed in their head as they started to head north. 'Will have to move to a new location once I'm done.' The Archer could tell that they were losing more blood than they should with just a simple flesh wound, slowing down after jumping over a large section of street onto another rooftop before sitting down to examine the wound more thoroughly.

'Hmm position could mean either left kidney or intestine...no, definitely the kidney. Loss of blood could mean renal artery was damaged in some way; that would certainly exhaust the rest of my supplies. Must continue moving if I want to stand a chance.' The Archer tightened their belt and sash after standing up, pausing for a moment before putting their bow back into their hand.

'Just because I've been lucky so far does not mean it will last,' they thought, grimacing slightly once they started to move again.

Grana nodded before flicking the brooch and a wad of beli, exactly 10,000, at Hal, nodding in thanks. "Thanks for the sword. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to print money." Grana grinned as he flipped a coin in the air. Oh, tonight was going to be fun. They might only be spending a bit over a day on this island, but Grana was determined to make sure every dealer on the island would know his name by the end of his foray. Grana dropped all three of his swords into his seemingly bottomless hat before walking to the huge casino he had seen on his way into the island. A trail of blood stopped him in his tracks. "Hello? Is anyone there?" Grana called out before shrugging and continuing on. If someone was stupid enough to be bleeding to death and not scream for help, it was his damn problem, not Grana's.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Grana walked into the casino and headed straight for the bar. "Hey, Bartender! One watercut, thanks." Grana took the drink and paid in cash before getting his cash exchanged for chips. He wanted to appear as if he had been drinking, but didn't want to end up actually drunk on the whiskey. After watching a blackjack table like a hawk for a good twenty minutes, Grana decided to join in. Taking a sip of the watercut, he sat down and placed his chips on the table. The dealer was an evil looking man, his hands constantly twitching over the player's chips. "I'm gonna make you never want to see another blackjack in your life, mate." So Grana thought as the cards were passed out. "Six decks, no shuffle. Double eight coming up, just in time for the dealer. He's gonna hit soft 17, so..." "Hit me." Grana commanded. His eight showed up, bringing his total to 19 with a two, a nine, and the new eight. The dealer frowned as his eight appeared, forcing him to stay. Grana nodded in satisfaction as he took back his chips plus a few more, while some of the other players moaned in despair. Grana took another sip. "Don't be sad yet, ladies 'n gents- the night's only getting started!" This went on for a bit, with Grana winning and losing some money, occasionally forced to surrender as the dealer found a blackjack every now and then. However, Grana's pile was steadily growing, despite the dealer's best efforts. Grana decided it was time to crush the dealer, as he was reaching the end of his memory and his glass was empty. With a demonic grin, Damien pushed his entire pile to the center. "All in." He stated, receiving gasps from the few remaining players. Everyone else either left or put very little in, as Grana had just lost them a considerable hand. More money for Grana, then. He grinned once more as two Jacks reached him. "Split." Grana declared, creating two hands for himself. The dealer looked at Grana as if he was a lucky idiot. What fool would split a twenty? Grana only smiled and waited. "Unlucky bastard. He's got no idea of what's about to happen to him. Two of his players got aces at the same time. One put his one the right, the other on the left. And you were kind enough to put them together. It must have been a long day for you to not shuffle. It's about to get longer." Gana nodded at the dealer when it came to his turn. "Double hit." Grana said, intending for each hand to receive an ace. Damien could barely keep himself together as the first card came out. This was that tension he felt on a caper, thieving from the theft-proof, worming his way into the hearts of ice queen socialites, that feeling of being on a high cliff and wondering if the wind was strong enough to keep you up. This was life! Grana waited breathlessly as the first card fluttered down. "Ace of clubs...yes! C'mon, spade, spade, spade!" Grana looked at the card slid slowly across the table, as if he could somehow see through the back of the card or make it an ace. His trembling fingers slowly flipped the card over. Grana was almost afraid to look! With a definitive motion to dispel all his doubts, Grana flipped the card, revealing the Ace of Spades. Grana breathed out, content. "Now here comes the fun part." Grana slid his cards forward. "I think the payout for this would be 3:1, correct?" Grana asked innocently, though with such a large payout ratio, the question was anything but innocent. Grana's mind began to race as the dealer's fingers, now trembling with an emotion somewhat opposite to excitement, counted out Grana's chips. "Color up while you're at it." Grana said absentmindedly while looking at the security around the place. "Hmm... I should probably get lost. Time to go trade in..."

Hal gave a small wave to Peter and Grana as they left. "Thanks for your business boys! Be seein ya around I suppose." Did he say print money? Hal wondered if was gonna try to pull something at a casino. Heh. Then maybe we can be fugitives together... He thought with a chuckle before turning back to his last customer.

"Alright so that's 5 whetstones for 4000 and the shirt for 100. How's about I throw in that rapier and we make it an even 10000 beli, eh?"

"You sir have gotten yourself a deal twoo" Cheer Jacque.

He shifts through his bag to look for his bag of money. He found the bag as he open it out to quickly count the amount inside. Luckily it is the exact amount as he toss it to Hal.
He places the whetstones in his bag, the fabric into his pocket and his left hand holding onto the bought rapier.

He mutters "Cya" as he walks off.

As he walks into town he adjusted his holster to make room for the new rapier but it's awkward. He eventually fit it however due to the cup hilt it had block his other rapier from unsheathing it.

He mutters to himself "Ok in hindsight I should of asked him if he had any holster twoo. I guess I better look for one in this forsaken place."

"Come on men fire! If th' damn guards can hit the archer why can't we?" yelled out a man in a black and blue pin-striped suit towards a dozen of his subordinates. His men had out numerous pistols and rifles, and were trying to shoot at the Archer who had hunkered down behind a wall on the opposite roof. "If the Budero's get 'im before anyone else the boss said we can get th' rewar- Uufh!"

'An arrow through the heart will silence any man who doesn't know when to stop talking,' the Archer thought, retreating back behind the wall as the Budero's started to fire again. The Archer figured that whoever had called earlier asking if someone needed help had alerted the Budero's to where they had been. They were at least easy enough pickings, focusing on only one side of the wall and ignoring the other which the Archer took advantage of. 'Three...two...and last one down, time to move on. Hopefully not another person will alert any more still here.'

The abandoned warehouse that the Archer was using as a base was all the way north on the island near the docks, and had been empty for many years. This was due to faulty craftsmanship when it was being built, and now the old building was too dangerous for most to set foot in. 'Not for me though. Only hard part was finding the safest room to stay in,' they mused, crossing over a few rooftops and seeing the building in the distance; a harsh grey color compared to the stunning blue of the ocean beside it. They halted for a moment when a stab of pain went up their side, taking a seat near a raised section of the roof to take a breather.

'Just stay a few minutes here then and catch your breath, you have the time.' They couldn't help but wonder just how much time they could spare, figuring that if needed they could keep going for another hour or two before fainting from blood loss. 'Don't need to worry about that though; the safe house is just a few buildings away. Just rest for another minute.

Tozani Budero was sitting in his office in the Eyes on the Table Casino when he received a call on his transponder snail.
"Who is this?"
"Boss Tozani, the Archer killed the entire team you sent after him!"
Tozani spat. "Are you kidding me? How hard is it to kill one man with a bow? Trail him as well as you can. I'm sending another team after him. A better one, one with a devil fruit or two. I want that bastard dead, and I want to see a body! He's proven too dangerous to live several times over" He shut off the snail, only to quickly receive another call. "What is it?"
"Sorry Boss, but some stranger just won a ton of beli in the casino. We may be bringing him in to you soon"

Peter had gone to a small inn at the town, signing up for his own room. He took the key and left. Well that's one thing taken care of. I wonder where everyone else has gone... He had looked at a couple shops, but didn't manage to find much that held his interest. He saw a few people in fine-made suits walking up to a Marine outpost. "Seems like the Budero's need to call in a favor..." He chuckled to himself, and went to look for the nearest newsstand.

Ok, I know it's been a while, but I am considering making a Skype group, depending on how many people show interest. If you want to join, please do the following.
1: Send me your contact info in a PM.
2: If you already have my contact info, PM me in Skype specifically asking to join the group. If you don't ask me, I'll assume you aren't interested.
3: This is not mandatory. It'd be nice, but it won't be needed.
4: For those without access to Skype, and maybe those who do, but want me to make a User Group here on the Escapist instead, let me know.

I'm looking for a minimum number of people showing interest, so that'll determine if I make one or not.

Another man in a suit ran into the Marine outpost, clearly with something important to tell his superior inside. The group of Buderos walked out a minute later and started to head northeast, some of them getting out different guns while a few seemed to not have any that needed to be brought out. A few separated and climbed up to a nearby rooftop, almost all the rest heading down through a darkened alleyway. Two of them went west back down the street they had come from earlier.

----

A loud shriek awakened the Archer from their slumber, seemingly having drifted off into sleep during the last ten minutes or so. They yawned and rubbed their eyes, stretching their arms as much as they felt they could before slowly standing up. They needed to lean against the wall to get up all the way; their eyes dropping to the pool of dark red that had formed whilst they slept. 'Thank goodness for Fletch,' they thought, looking up at the young falcon as it flew above them shrieking to high heaven. Something that the Archer did not like, 'Wait a minute.'

Bullets rang from around them as they sprinted across the roof, a few managing to graze the Archer as they jumped to the next roof over. The two Buderos on that roof didn't have chance once the Archer landed and shot them with a few quick arrows before continuing to run. 'Today is just not my day. Let's make sure I live to see the next one at least,' they thought heading straight east now so as to pass their safe house, hoping to keep it hidden and slipping back to it once losing the Buderos.

The plan would have worked except for a faulty stairwell that the Archer jumped onto to make it to another building. As soon as they landed on it the thing collapsed into a heap of rusted metal, the Archer almost escaping from it before they hit the ground of the alley with the stairwell. Fletch shrieked from above, trying to wake up his owner before the looming threat reached them.

Peter had walked through the streets until he heard a thunderous crash. He ran towards the sound, and noticed someone on top of a pile of a debris, what appeared to be a collapsed stairway. "What in the hell?" He went over to the figure and tried to find a pulse. "They seem to be alive..." He sighed. "Nobody coming to help? *Sigh* I suppose I'll have to..." He gave the figure a couple pokes, trying to get them awake. He was unaware of the two grunts chasing them and where on their way to the ground.
The Marine in charge of the outpost left, leaving the rest of his men there. "I'm gonna go greet the ship that's coming in... you guys stay out of trouble..." He yawned as he closed the door, heading to the east. "I don't remember them ever saying they'd be sending people over here..."

Grana walked up to the chip trader. "Hey there, mate. Mind *hic* trading these in fer me? I reckon *hic* I've done enough fer one *hic* night." The chip trader, clearly seeing that Grana was drunk, was about to shortchange the man Terri ly before seeing one of the Buderos nod at the man. Knowing what was about to happen, the trader gave the full amount to Grana, giving the Buderos "just cause." Grana tipped all the money into his hungry hat before stumbling for the door. Two men in suits grabbed Grana under each arm, as a few Buderos followed close behind. "Oh, thank ya *hic* gentlemen, I was afraid *hic* I wasn't gonna make it t' the *hic* door." Grana became suitably curious as they appearedto drag him towards the back. "Hey, *hic* fellas? I think the *hic* door's the other way." The Buderos ignored him as they dragged him into a back alley and threw him against a wall, yelling, "Give us the money you damn cheater!" Grana grinned devilishly as he continued through the wall and disappeared.

"The hell?" One of the black suited men profaned. Grana quickly answered him by throwing his hat at the man. The razor rimmed hat bit into the man's neck, dropping him where he stood. Grana draped his hands across his blades, ready to test out the new wakizashi. With a stunning battou, Grana cut down two members, ducking low to avoid the blood spray and to prepare for his next attack, a double uppercut with both blades. Using his momentum to his advantage, Grana spun aroun and thrust behind him, impaling two more Buderos to the wall. Leaving his swords, Grana drew on of the Marine pistols from within his snow white suit and fired, killing one more Budero who was fumbling for a gun. Grana heard someone draw a sword behind him, screaming all the while. Grana spun around, stepped into the attacker's stance, grabbed the katana by the handle, and with his free hand, slugged his opponent in the nose, sending him sprawling. Grana's eyes opened wide as he saw who attacked him. It was just a kid! Grana shook his head as he put his foot on the kid's throat. "Hey, kid. I like you, so I'm gonna let you live. Tell Tozani that if he wants to see me, he better bring some flowers if he wants to make up for this. Also, when you wake up, tell him I have something to make it work his while, something the Yarrakonas would die to get back, alright? G'night, then." Grana applied pressure, knocking the kid out due to hypoxia. Grana nudged the kid over so he wouldn't suffocate on his own blood, then once again reappeared in his everyday clothes. "With any luck, the poor kid'll wake up just as I'm leaving." Grana's thoughts were interrupted by the sounds of wrenching metal, as a man fell down a fight of stairs in the alley across the street. "Shit!" Grana exclaimed as he ran to the man's aid. Some kind of falcon hovered over the man, shrieking with everything it had. The moment Grana tried to get near the strangely-clothed man with the white bow, the bird savaged Grana, attempting to claw out his eyes. "Ouch... Dammit! I'm trying to help!" Grana swung his hat in a wide circle. By chance, he caught the bird, immediately caving the beast against the ground. "I'm trying to help, dammit." Grana was finally able to see that Peter had gotten to the man first. "Oh. Hey there, Captain. Didn't see you there. How come the bird didn't try and kill you?

Fletch shrieked as he shook off the dirt that was on his feathers before going back to attack Grana. He couldn't attack both Peter and Grana at once, so he focused on the one who seemed more threatening to his owner, trying to scratch at the man's face and dodging anymore hat swings.

The loud noise and movement around them awoke the Archer who opened their eyes and glanced around before moving most of the rusted metal that was on top of them off. "Fuck that was foolish," they muttered in pain as they slowly sat up, taking a second to see the new damage. "Couple of scratches, some deeper than others...those were from the bullets. Previous injury still in the same condition, just more bruised. Ankle sprained...a few ribs bruised," the Archer sighed, grabbing onto Peter to help themselves up. They did their best to stand tall, walking over to their bow that was under the debris and making sure it was alright before falling to their knees. 'Too exhausted.'

They turned to the two men and called off the falcon, who flew back up into the air without another order. "Thank you for the kindness of caring to see if I was alright," they told the two men, giving them a nod as they tried to get back up before Fletch started to shriek some more up above. "Shit, this day just never ends," they muttered as they sat down behind some of the debris and got out a few arrows, readying themselves for the Buderos that were coming.

"Yeah, thanks for your business! Be seein ya!" Hal called out to Jacque as he put the money he had made and the brooch from Grana in his briefcase. Snapping it closed, he took a look around the dock to see who was left. "Huh... Outta customers already eh? Ah, well."

Thankfully, he looked up just in time to notice that a bunch of Bodero family members were running around. Something had them in a frenzy. Shit, are they looking for me! Or is it that Archer guy I keep hearing about? This is bad, if I run they'll know somethings up and chase me no matter who they're looking for! But if I stay put, and they are looking for me I'm a dead man...

As the Budero got closer, he had no choice but to use Shave to get to a nearby rooftop. Hal surveyed the streets below from his high ground. "Dammit, they're everywhere! First, the Yarrakona and now this? What did I do to deserve this? Well.... Ok, dumb question. But now where do I go? Those families run this place and they're both out to get me..."

A large man with a cannon on his back and rusty brown hair, Lt. Gulligan headed up the docks to the marine sent to greet him. Lzuckily he was only 2 hours late, having only taken 3 wrong turns. He gripped the tiny marines hand to show off his firm handshake. "Lt. Gulligan here to take care of your problem, take me to your leader!" The marine gave him a weird look, shrugged, and led him to the command station.

He noticed Grana coming up to him. "Ok... Grana, how fast can you move us? Just take us east and we can arrive at a place I'm staying pretty quickly. We need to do this fast. Our first priority should be getting this person somewhere safe. Getting into unneeded fights isn't going to help us. And please tell me you don't have anyone after you as well..."

He helped the archer stand up. "Ok, just stay awake for a little bit... we can get out of this just fine."
As Gulligan shook his hand, the Marine smiled. "Wow, they sent someone pretty big here today. Ensign Yezeku at your service. I'm the one in charge here. So, I have to ask... are you my relief? I've been trying to get a transfer off this island for months... come on, walk with me,talk with me." He gestured to him as he tried to lead the way back to the command post.

Gulligan opened his mouth to say "no", but then he suddenly did something he normally hated doing: he thought. "If the escaped pirates are caught while under my command, the glory and promotions will be mine!" he accidentally said aloud, luckily, noone heard him.
"Yup, that's me! Superior officer Gulligan!"

Yezeku heard him mumbling, but didn't know what he said, or really care, not pay him much mind. "Nice to meetcha! So, how about we take a walk back to my office and begin discussing things! I'm curious as to why you didn't communicate with us before actually arriving..." He swayed back and forth as he walked, seeming almost in a daze.

"Communicate? Oh, you mean why didn't we call ya on the snail thing? Well, they didn't work for some reason, and my lazy men let the pirates damage our ship when I told them to watch the ship while I took a nap! Can you believe that? What slackers!"

Jacque had arrived in a small alleyway. He took a look around his surrounding as he uses his opportunity to put on the new bandana. Just as he took off his hat he felt the presence of two tough looking crooks that emerge from the shadow behind him. Just as the two were about to mug him, he spin around with his bought rapier already out as he slash them lightly at the chest. The cut had slash their shirts with a thin red line appear as their blood start to bleed. The two tough guys had panics in fear as they are frozen stiff in that spot.

Jacque said "I'm not in the mood at killing low lives like you so scram!"

He sheathed back his rapier as the two quickly ran away in fear.

Jacque sigh "If I was my old self I would have arrested them and yet I let them get away. I know they're going to mug someone else. This rapier is alot studier than it looks."

He took another look at his surround again as he took off the bandana he's wearing knowing full well that there is no one can see his hair. He torn the bought fabric into the right shape as he place it on his head and tie hard at the back of his head.
He put his worn bandana into his pocket and put back on his pirate head as he walks out of the alleyway.

"No, I need to get back to my base...my medical supplies are there and I'll certainly be needing them. Plus it's safer since the whole city seems after me at this point," the Archer replied tiredly, leaning against the shorter Peter to help support their weight. "I can show you the way. It's the grey, run-down warehouse just slightly northwest of here...if you could take me there I'd much appreciate it," they said with heavy breathing, hoping that the people who seemed to be helping weren't on either of the family's purses.

From what they could tell they weren't, the two men seemed to be newcomers to the island since the Archer had not seen them before just now. 'They also don't have the air of scared civilians nor do they seem the type to work for either of the families,' the Archer mused before something the taller, white-suited one said clicked in their head, 'Shit, pirates and this one helping me up is the Captain. They'll want something out of this for helping me. Not much can be done now about it I suppose, soon enough they'll be wanted by the families for even helping me.'
