Alaena quickly caught sight of Inshi and raised her bow towards him, only taking a split second to aim before firing on him. The first arrow was to get him to go a certain way, and the next ones were to where he would be. This strategy worked greatly for Alaena, and it was very easy for her to change it up quickly if things didn't go as planned. She contemplated using one of her poisoned arrows, but decided against using one of the deadly ones since she wanted to end this now.

Instead she brought out one with a small amount of a strong paralyze venom on it from a lizard that lived on remote islands along the Grand Line and carefully aimed it at him, waiting for just the right moment.

Once again, Inshi deflected the arrows with his spear, and started running towards her, leaping over to the other building, swinging at her to try and hit her, or at least get her bow pointed away from him.

Grana sighed. "Smart move, Mr. Tozani. If I'm the real deal, you lose the second biggest threat to you. If I was a phony, you could just send some men to collect the Diadem and the beli. But whatever. I'll finish off the Night Archer, bring you back something of his to prove it. Oh, and Mr. Tozani? I'm a Medium Long, just in case you want to have a suit waiting for me when I return. See you in a bit." Grana chuckled as he hung up the mini Mushi, warping onto the rooftops to get a better view of the city. "Now let's see... If I was a woman with a personal vendetta against the crimelords of this island, where would I go? Tozani seemed unperturbed, so she can't be at the Casino... Guess I'll just head towards that oyster resort or whatever it's called." Grana began to leap across the rooftops towards Yarrakona territory when he heard explosions. Grana zeroed in on their location. Even if it wasn't Alaena, it was probably a gang shootout, which would give him the ability to gain the Buderos' trust.

However, it seemed Grana's luck was finally turning, as he found Alaena shooting arrows for all she was worth at Oyabun Inshi. Grana didn't really feel like killing Alaena, especially after she had saved Sammi, but that didn't matter much; her death could always be faked. Oyabun, on the other hand, Grana had no such reserves against killing. As much as he would have liked to help Alaena, this seemed to be a personal battle to her, judging by how angry she seemed to be after storming out of the inn. So Grana kept to the shadows, making sure he always kept Alaena within range in case she was about to die. Grana wrapped his black cloak around his body tightly, to ensure he would blend in with the shadows well.

Inshi's spear certainly had a longer reach than her own weapons now that they were in close combat, but it also had a flaw. She kept her bow in one arm and the venom arrow in the other; ducking and weaving out of the spear's reach, backing up along the roof until she neared the edge. It was then she made her move while it was extended out, slipping past the weapon to Inshi until she was close enough for her to stab him in the chest with the arrow. She let go of it and quickly used Soru to try and keep him from being able to retaliate from the attack, reaching her hand to the quiver ready to draw another arrow.

He twisted his arms to try and move her attempted stab away from his face, grazing his cheek, not even enough to bleed,. He tried to parry, getting her far enough away from him so he could try slashing at her again, but the arrow wounds from before slowed him down. "You do realize that now that I've seen your face, there is nowhere you can hide..."

A Marine ship was now leaving the harbor. Yezeku looked back and scoffed. "Heh... so long Lasklee. It was fun while it lasted." Suddenly, he felt his foot twitching, and he leaned over, clutching his leg. "Ugh... we have a medic on board? I think there might have been something more to that arrow..."

Gulligan had taken a small band of men with him and was now heading south. "Ok... where would the best place for a pirate to go be?" He turned to his men, but they all seemed to have their eyes glued on a fight unfolding on the rooftops. "Hey! I asked you guys a question! Answer me when I talk to you! What the hell is so interesting?" He looked up and noticed Aleana and Inshi fighting. "Huh? Who the hell are those two?"

"You know who else have seen my face? All the others I've killed," Alaena responded to Inshi before getting hit in the left arm, firing a few arrows once she was far enough away from him. She concentrated on the foe before her; ignoring the pain she felt in both injuries, the sound of voices on the streets below, and a movement in the shadows over to her left. None of that was important right now.

What was important was Inshi's decrease in speed and mobility, and Alaena ran around the rooftop to tire him out more. An arrow to the leg slowed him down more, and now was the time to strike. She pulled out her dagger and slipped in after he tried a swing with his spear, pushing it into his chest with all the strength she could muster in her injured left arm. She kept it in him for a moment before pulling it out and taking a few steps back, keeping an eye on him and his weapon in case he tried anything.

Yoje stood still for a moment, then shook his head. "I won't kill anyone unless I absolutely have to. It's...a personal thing. Their leader might end up killing them himself for failing. Maybe you'll do it right now. The people on this island are probably better off with less gang members around. My crew and I would be safer with them dead, too. But I just can't finish them off myself."
He transformed back into a human and looked at Hal. "You're the one they were after. If you think killing them is necessary, I won't stop you."

Hal sighed and nodded. "Yeah, I hear you... I don't like killing people either. But I like being hunted down like a dog even less, and that's what these bastards have been doing all day! Fighting ain't my forte so if I don't do this, I can't guarantee they won't get me next time. Sorry man, but for me it's kill or be killed." Hal said as he drew his sword. One quick slice for the three of them was all it took since the thugs were good and knocked out. Hal puched the bodies off the docks and into the sea afterwards. It wouldn't hide them permanently but they would be long gone before anybody figured out what happened.

After he was done, he wiped the blood off his sword and turned back to Yoje. "I get it if you don't want anything to do with me after that, but we gotta get outta here. You got a good place to lay low for awhile?"

The dagger had plunged into his gut. Inshi yelled out in rage and in pain, smacking her with the end of his spear, trying to knock it away. "You insolent little whelp!" He charged at her again, seeming to be running on rage and adrenaline.

Gulligan had noticed the two fighting and pulled out his cannon. "Those two look pretty shady. I think it'd be a fair assumption to say they're the guys we're looking for, right?" One of the men near him said "No, they don't look anything like our targets! Sir, you should reconsider!" He aimed at the rooftop the two were fighting on. "Well, they obviously are criminals! I mean look how everyone is trying to get away from them! Two less criminals is always a good thing!" The man next to him just tried to keep reasoning with him "But sir, think about what..." "You go ahead and 'think', nerd, while I get the glory for 'doing'!" With that, he pulled the trigger and a small cannonball erupted out.

Staying calm now was all that she needed to do as she moved further away from Inshi's attacks. Panic was the poison that could get into her system and ruin something she was so close to achieving after all these months. 'You just need to focus. Be calm and rational. This will be over soon,' she told herself to keep calm and to keep her mind on the prize ahead; her bow being put on her shoulder for now.

She watched as his attacks became more careless, making it easier for her to dodge and slip in with an attack from her dagger before backing away in enough time to avoid a new onslaught of attacks. She still kept her guard up though, knowing that this could still be over if she slipped up now. There were a few moments where she wanted to reply to one of his taunts, but wasting breath on him was no longer worth it.

The dagger was put away after a few more hits and the bow was brought out again. Alaena calmly held it in her left hand and waited for him to charge again, and once he did she was ready for it. The bow was slipped onto the spear and after a few short seconds of wrestling with him she managed to get it out of his hands. The spear was then tossed aside to the edge of the rooftop before she drew another arrow and pointed it at him.

"It's over Inshi," she told him, about to let go of the arrow before hearing a loud boom and whistling sound. A split second later and it was all over. Alaena had no clue what had just happened; only knew that the building she was on was gone along with Inshi, her body was completely numb, there was a loud buzzing sound in her ear, and that she was falling. She hit the ground a few streets away with a loud thud, noting that blood was pooling around her face before blacking out.

Yoje shrugged. "Not really. I'm sure not going to the Yarrakona's resort anymore. Hopefully there's another place close by." He checked his map of the island again. "Well, theres an inn that isn't too far away, but is sort of close to the Marine HQ of this island. Do you have a cloak, or something else I can use to cover my face?"
This shouldn't bother me. I'm sure plenty of Marines were killed by the crew on Jingo. These guys were defenseless, though. But they were only defenseless because of me. Hal can't defend himself as well as I can, it makes sense he'd want to go for the kill. They probably deserved it, too. This was nothing like the time with CP9. Ugh, I'll feel better once I'm safe in an inn somewhere.

Hal considered the idea of going to the inn near Marine HQ for a moment. Marines huh... Well, maybe they forgot the whole cannonball incident. And they definitely aren't actively hunting me like everyone else seems to be. Worst they'd do is lock me up too. Way better than dying. Yeah, let's go with that. Having made up his mind, Hal dug through his pile of ruined inventory to find something suitable to disguise Yoje with. "Well... I've got a cheap pair of shades and a scarf... That'll have to do for now." Hal finally said, handing the items over to Yoje.

After glancing at the map and seeing the inn Yoje was talking about, Hal turned and started walking. "Alright, I know the place. Let's go. Your rooms on me, alright pal?"

Grana hissed as Alaena came close to dying, then almost cheered for her as she rallied magnificently and was about to strike Inshi's deathblow. Some idiot began yelling and subsequently fired a cannonball. Grana was able to see it and reached fo the metal sphere, failing to realize it was just outside his range and as such, was able to reach Alaena. Grana roared in anger as he dashed out from his hiding spot, his black cloak hanging from his shoulders. "You murderer! That was a doctor you just fired upon!" Grana's cloak flew open, revealing his snow white suit beneath. Grana ran as fast as he could, streaming towards where he had seen Alaena fly. "Alaena!" Grana cried out, hoping she was in earshot now that he was some distance away. He heard a half-hearted moan and rushed towards it, finally finding Alaena. "Dammit! You idiot! Why did you go out after being patched up so soon!" Grana ripped sections of his clean cloak to make tourniquets to stop the bleeding, especially around her head. Grana, with shaky fingers, depressed the shell of the mini-Mushi that led straight to Tozani. "Mr. Tozani? It's me again. Listen, I managed to kill the Night Archer, but a newbie Marine just showed up and started firing a portable cannon every which way. I managed to get out mostly unscathed, but one of the crazy bastard's shots hit my girl. Send some men and a doctor, please! we're a couple blocks south of the inn near the Marine HQ. Tell the doctor to get ready- she's breathing, but only just. If you need proof, I have the Archer's bow for verification of death. Hurry!"

Grana hung up and quickly got to work. "Forgive me Alaena, but I don't know more medicide than beyond a fish remedy. But hey, I'm always gentle with things I touch, remember?" These words were said just as much for Grana's ears as Alaena's. He took the cloak and hid it in a nearby alley. Fletch was about to attack Grana when the bird seemed to remember the white suited man. "That's right, Birdy. It's me, Grana. You gotta be quiet for a bit now, okay?" Grana had no time to spare. He took the quiver of arrows and her bow, then hissed as he saw the revolver and the Bowie knife. He eventually decided to lay these next to her, along with the bow. He could lie his way out of that. Grana decoded to leave the brooch firmly in Alaena's company, as it was seemingly even more important to her than the bow. Grana waited for the Buderos and prepare himself for his upcoming act.

He hadn't been on Lesklee for long, but Hal had managed to get to know quite a few of the back alleys of the town both through preparing for trouble and having to run from it. He was able to get Yoje and himself to the inn quickly and uneventfully using this knowledge. Until of course, one of the alleys he took was blockaded by rubble. "The hell happened here? Dammit, now we're gonna have to take main road..." Hal muttered as he turned back to find another way around.

The main road he had to take was in complete chaos. Marines were everywhere, people were trying to either get away or get as close as they dared to see what was going on, and it looked like a cannon had been fired at a nearby building. Hal stopped in the middle of the chaos and lit up a cigarette, offering one to Yoje as well. "You smoke? Either way, we should stay here until it dies down a bit. Chaos is great to hide in and trying to push through to the inn will just get us noticed. This town sure is going to hell..." Hal sighed and shook his head, trying to figure out just what happened.

"See? Problem solved!" Gulligan announced proudly.
"Okay, sir, first off, what problem? That was most likely two civilians in a barfight! which also brings me to point number two, apparently you shot at a doctor! You could end up in serious...are you even listening?!"
"Sorry, couldn't hear you over the sound of my own awesomeness! All we have to do now is grab the bodies and identify what pirates I just got! Man, I am in for a promotion for sure!" He said with an idiotic grin, "Now if you nerds will excuse me, I'm gonna grab some victory booze!"
As he headed for the bar, he didn't hear his men whisper, "How did a moron like that even get into the marines?" "I'm more confused about how he manages to dress himself in the morning!"

"Well we got plenty of time I guess," Sammi noted to Peter, the slight twinge in her arm reminding her that she would be little use in combat for the duration of the day, not that there appeared to be any around. "Why don't you run them by me? I'll tell you if they suck or not."

Sammi was beginning to feel more comfortable talking with Peter. He did seem to be the most even-headed of the ragtag group she had hooked up with. A fitting choice for captain. There was a bit of noise in the distance, sounding almost like a cannon being fired, however Sammi paid it no mind. It was miles away, and there had been enough fighting in her mind for one day.
