While most of the doctors went back to working on other patients now that the majority of Alaena's injuries were mended, a few remain to finish up bandaging the numerous cuts and bruises still left. One of them was wrapping her arm when he was grabbed by Alaena, a frightened yelp emitting from his mouth. "Relax. I...what's going on?" she asked him, the doctor looking afraid until she let go of him.
"You're being tended to after you were caught in a family crossfire. Or so the man who brought you here told us," he muttered, adding, "I can go and get him for you."
"No, I'll be fine thank you. Why are there bandages over my eye?" she asked, holding onto the sheets tightly to brace herself for what she knew was coming.
"Because, along with the dozen of cuts caused by shrapnel there you...also lost that eye," the doctor replied calmly.
"Was it completely gone, or could it have possibly been saved?" she asked after a moment to compose herself, not wanting to lash out at the doctor. When she heard him say that there was nothing that could be done she shooed him away, lying back against her bed. She stayed there in silence for a moment before taking the IV out, and slowly getting off the bed. After rummaging through some cabinets she found a shirt and a pair of pants to wear, putting them on carefully before looking around the room again. She took any supplies she needed to restock her own medical wares, placing them into a plastic box as she went to the door. She took a few deep breaths to compose herself before walking out and heading back to the front.
She wasn't surprised to see Grana still waiting there, though she was surprised to see Peter now there too. "Peter, Grana," she said, nodding her head at them in acknowledgment. She called over Fletch who happily flew over to her, getting a few quick pets before being told to go and get 15,000 beli out of one of her bags still at the tower. He shrieked and flew out the door to go and do what he was told.
Alaena turned back to the group, setting down the supplies on a chair before asking Grana for her things back. "I appreciate your helping of me, both by bringing me here and taking care of my things. Seems I'll be in debt to half your crew by tomorrow at this rate Peter," she said.
