So what we've learned from this thread is that some people wear shoes inside and some don't?
I live in Norway and so far I haven't been in a single home where it's okay to wear shoes inside, we even had to wear slippers instead of shoes at school until I was 12. As far as I know all the people I know around Europe also take off their shoes when they get in. Only place I didn't have to take my shoes off was when visiting an American family living in Italy. I think.
Then again, there's usually more mud around here than there is where we were in Italy, so I suppose it sort of depends on where you live.
