I don't see why we are talking about web comics as if they are 1 single judgeable entity and labeling them as bad, rather than judging them individually but whatever. I like some web comics, but I don't like web comics. The ones I like are:
Boxer Hockey- Interesting and comedic comic about players who play a violent fictional sport
Penny Arcade- I feel this one does not need explanation
XKCD- Interesting comic about stick figures that revolves around math, science, drama, and language. Recommended
Bittersweet Candy Bowl- About animals (mainly cats and dogs) who for some reason are there instead of humans. Revolves around the drama of the teenage cast as they go from middle school to high school. Art improves drastically as the comic goes on. (Not as bad as it sounds either)
Hanna is Not a Boy's Name- Interesting comic about supernatural stuff with great art and some interesting and unique characters. (Cancelled supposedly. Has not updated since valentines day 2011) Recommended
Sandra and Woo- Comedic strip about a girl in Canada, her friends, her father, and a talking Raccoon named Woo. High quality comic and similar to Calvin and Hobbes with occasional blatant parodies of the comic like the raccoon pouncing on the main character. Recommended
Gaia- Fantasy comic about magic and knights and such. Made by the people who make Sandra and Woo. also has great art. A bit generic, but is still enjoyable
Critical Miss- Explanation not needed.
Sister Claire- About a nun who is pregnant with the savior and has to fight against evil people and other nuns. (Involves magic and supernatural things, not a Christian comic by any means.)
Dumbing of Age- Follows the separate and intertwining lives of groups of freshmen college student. Art is a bit sloppy sometimes (The line work can be a bit rough) but nonetheless, a great comic
Grimm Tales From Down Below- Uses character from old Nicktoons and CartoonNetwork shows and re-imagines them and puts them into a unique story with lots of violence might I add.
and last but not least,
Ctrl+Alt+Del- A comic running strong since 2002 about people who play video games. Plenty of comedy, drama, cartoon violence, and video game references, jokes, and parodies. (Note: When I say references, I don't mean they go around quoting random game characters, they just reference video games and systems and companies as a whole)Recommended
Just because I'm not going out of my way to specifically recommend a comic on this list, it does not mean that it isn't worth checking out
