Best thing you will ever read. Trust me its slow to start out but it gets DEEP real soon, and then shit gets awesome. Currently more than addicted. Homestuck could be a book its so long.

...The Hell?! The spam-bots are getting even more elaborate!!

Everybody, hide your belongings and get to the basement, I'll bring the twelve gauges and cheetos!
...How is he a spambot...? That's a legitimate link, to a legitimate, well known and acclaimed, webcomic (The Perry Bible Fellowship)... Which is what this thread is about...?

No, seriously, he got reported for this. Come on people.

I don't mind them... I think some of them have quite a few pretty good jokes too, and I skim a couple very week. What I really do love is those people that release like a small comic book in one go online for no charge, a lot of that content is just my kinda thing, and things that you would never get from a conventional web comic or from a store =3.

Things do not need more tits... There are enough of those, it tires me that they are put into everything, and even more so that it WORKS...

The ones I read that haven't been mentioned are Misfile [http://www.misfile.com/?page=1] and The Last Days of FOXHOUND [http://www.gigaville.com/comic.php?id=1] (which is finished).

I really like Critical Miss. To each his own I guess.

8-Bit Theater is still my favourite webcomic of all time. It's finished now, but It's bloody hilarious.

*cough* SEVERAL books, thank you.

If you argue against this, remember it's only half finished.

I don't see why we are talking about web comics as if they are 1 single judgeable entity and labeling them as bad, rather than judging them individually but whatever. I like some web comics, but I don't like web comics. The ones I like are:
Boxer Hockey- Interesting and comedic comic about players who play a violent fictional sport
Penny Arcade- I feel this one does not need explanation
XKCD- Interesting comic about stick figures that revolves around math, science, drama, and language. Recommended
Bittersweet Candy Bowl- About animals (mainly cats and dogs) who for some reason are there instead of humans. Revolves around the drama of the teenage cast as they go from middle school to high school. Art improves drastically as the comic goes on. (Not as bad as it sounds either)
Hanna is Not a Boy's Name- Interesting comic about supernatural stuff with great art and some interesting and unique characters. (Cancelled supposedly. Has not updated since valentines day 2011) Recommended
Sandra and Woo- Comedic strip about a girl in Canada, her friends, her father, and a talking Raccoon named Woo. High quality comic and similar to Calvin and Hobbes with occasional blatant parodies of the comic like the raccoon pouncing on the main character. Recommended
Gaia- Fantasy comic about magic and knights and such. Made by the people who make Sandra and Woo. also has great art. A bit generic, but is still enjoyable
Critical Miss- Explanation not needed.
Sister Claire- About a nun who is pregnant with the savior and has to fight against evil people and other nuns. (Involves magic and supernatural things, not a Christian comic by any means.)
Dumbing of Age- Follows the separate and intertwining lives of groups of freshmen college student. Art is a bit sloppy sometimes (The line work can be a bit rough) but nonetheless, a great comic
Grimm Tales From Down Below- Uses character from old Nicktoons and CartoonNetwork shows and re-imagines them and puts them into a unique story with lots of violence might I add.
and last but not least,
Ctrl+Alt+Del- A comic running strong since 2002 about people who play video games. Plenty of comedy, drama, cartoon violence, and video game references, jokes, and parodies. (Note: When I say references, I don't mean they go around quoting random game characters, they just reference video games and systems and companies as a whole)Recommended

Just because I'm not going out of my way to specifically recommend a comic on this list, it does not mean that it isn't worth checking out

I've been reading QC for like........six years. Crazy. I used to read Looking For Group but I stopped years ago and didn't feel like catching up :( Penny Arcade is usually good, so long as they're talking about a game or event I've actually heard of.

I wonder if people actually like this things. I for one, despise them. I also think Critical Miss is one of the worst content "The Escapist" has to offer. Don`t get me wrong, i have nothing with the drawer/artist or how you may call it. I just find the overall idea lame and lacking.
I hate onions. You all should hate onions, and we shouldn't have them around. Because I hate them.

Cyanide and happiness and Penny Arcade are the only web comics I deem worthwhile to exist, however I do read the Critical Miss on the Escapist from time to time.

Oglaf and Nedroid are the only ones I follow, both being quite clever while still retaining a vibe of complete and utter stupidity.
Of course every webcomic has dry spells.

EDIT: And of course I follow the ones hosted here on the Escapist :)

I've been learning to draw and paint for the last three or so years now with the intention of making my own webcomics. As an aspiring creator in the medium, most webcomics (or at least most story-driven webcomics) make me despair. Never has the maxim "99% of everything is shit" applied more.

That said there are some good ones. Here are a few of my favourites:

Gunnerkrigg Court [http://www.gunnerkrigg.com/index2.php]. My favourite webcomic, and to my mind the most under-rated thing on the internet. The fact that bullshit like The Wotch can earn its creators enough money to make them full time, but this gem can't, is a goddamn travesty (The artwork in the earliest chapters is a little off-putting, it improves very rapidly).

Monster Pulse [http://www.monster-pulse.com/]. A recently started comic that's shot to the top of my favorites list. Really fun characters, and a plot that's absorbing even if it is somewhat simplistic.

Cucumber Quest [http://cucumber.gigidigi.com]. Reading this comic is like eating a giant bowl of marshmallows, and the art is fantastic.

The Trenches [http://trenchescomic.com/]. Most people are probably aware of this already, but just in case, here's a link. I personally think this is better than Penny Arcade and PvP combined, to the point that I wish Kurtz, Holkins and Krahulik would ditch those comics and work on this full time.

I've never heard of this before, but the author seriously has to cut back on the word count and switch to a different font. Sweet Jesus. How anyone can read that is beyond me.
