Websites that make you happy?

While browsing the internet over the last few days, I've come across some horrifying news stories (the woman cutting off her husbands penis, a boy murdering his parents with a hammer). I couldn't help but read them and they left me in a terrible, sad, scared sort of mood. I've been trying to take my mind off of them, but I realized I don't have many go-to places on the internet to make myself feel better.

Today I read almost every single Photoplasty on Cracked, which cheered me up, only to wind up reading another depressing news story.

So escapists, what are some good websites that make you feel happy and would be good for a pick-me-up? Happy news stories/blogs or pictures of adorable animals are welcome.

To be honest Youtube, Formspring and here are the only places I really go to regularly now. I do stop over at Newgrounds from time to time. But most of my time is spent here.

I take a lot of pleasure in schadenfreude, so Fark.com is always a good place to go to cheer me up. Probably wouldn't do you any good though.

Your link is broken but yes, I love me some tvtropes as well. Not sure it's the right kind of thing to cheer me up, but it is a DAMN good waste of time.

Cracked helps sometimes.
Other times I'm neutral towards it as some articles aren't funny but rather informative instead.
Besides Cracked though... Youtube, I guess. I watch random Machinima episodes like this [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIf48-nOXgo] but usually I'll browse different demotivational posters and stuff like that.
But sometimes, I just need to get away from the internet and... I don't know. Read or something. >.<

Seeing the link and looking at your avatar made me laugh. I love that site but I don't go there too often since I don't want to be sucked in for days.

OT: Crack.com or newgrounds if I want a good laugh. I haven't been to newgrounds in quite a while though, so I might change that soon.

Link got fixed, bro. You posted right after I noticed it linked to a nonexistent Escapist thread. Stupid URL system, in my opinion.

Oh, and SCIENCE! is my title. I remember that being part of The Escapist's Portal 2 review. After every mention of science - SCIENCE! - he would do as I just did there, which prompted me to make it my title as soon as I got a PubClub membership.

Hahaha I love the video. And I wish I could get away from the internet and do something else... stupid 8 hour work days.

This might not be a website, but just as a pick-me-up and a reminder that there is some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, I found a short item in todays newspaper that made me smile. I put it up on my wall. It reads, roughly translated:

"The staff at The Red Cross in Jyderyp, Denmark, were surprised this morning when a cointainer of donation clothes was emptied. Along with a million DAK, (almost 200 000 dollars) about 130 000 euro, they found an anonymous letter: "I've been saving for 40 years to donate to the Red Cross". "I've never experienced anything like this before", commented Anders Ladekarl, the secretary general of the danish Red Cross."
