That I look like James Hetfield's younger brother.
That either makes you a sweet heavy metal cowboy of the 90s or an alright heavy metal city guy with an odd yet righteous beard of the now.

O.T. My skin has been compared to a piece a bread tbya certain someone from 6th grade whom I worry left me with some mental scars.

I have very low self-esteem.
Pardon my confusion, but is it not a compliment to be called a hottie?
I have very low self-esteem.
That is to say that you interpreted it as a snide remark, embodied with spiteful sarcasm?
No, though a past me would have. I just thought it was weird and that this girl has very, very low standards.

Interesting.

Reminds me of the quote,

"I wouldn't date anyone with such standards that they would have me in the first place."

*shrug*

I do not know you, what you look like, or anything really substantial about your personality. I cannot make a determination concerning the standards that would result in you being called a 'hottie,' or not.

I can't recall any wierd comments about my physical appearance, but I do remember when my friends were badly sunburnt from going to a concert. I called them lobsters.

Some retarded looking warehouse workers told me I looked fat, which was mostly due to my wearing of a hoody, a baggy one.

On more than one occasion, it went something like:

"You look like one of those guys that snaps and goes on a killing spree"

I was in the self checkout queue at Sainsburys. Then this kid tries to get in front of me. His mum grabs him and says "Wait for the lady in front to go first."

I'm a guy! >.< with long hair...

them: "...You look kinda like DJ Qualls with a bit more arm muscle, shorter, longder hair, tattoo's and a different face."

me: "...So basically i'm only as pale as him is what you're getting at?"

them: "..Well yeah if you want to be that blunt about it."

...that was just a wonderful moment for my self-esteem..mainly just the "you look like DJ Qualls" part..okay..i'm not THAT damn skinny..

also, i dont think i look good no matter what i do or people say, cuz i have very low self-esteem, so no matter what i hate how i look, and assume other people do as well..so i don't really focus on my appearence towards others, because i've accepted that fact ((turns out it was true, most people dont find me attractive at all)) so it's all fine and dandy...but whenever somebody compliments how i look physically..i stare at them like they are crazy, or look for somebody else that they could have been talking to.

them: "hey, you look good today, i like your hair like that, i can see your eyes and face a lot better, and i like it. also that outfit outlines your build really well."

me: *looks around then stares awkwardly* "umm..thanks? you do mean ME, right?"

them: "of course i do, i love this look for you"

me: "umm...okay then..thanks, i guess."

then just on with my daily stuff as usual...i dunno i'm just one of those people i guess =D

DONT LOOK AT ME!!! YOU GO BLIND!!! =P

People have told me I look like either Matt Damon or whoever the actor is who plays Dexter... the HBO show, not the cartoon. Either way, I guess I look like a semi-decent actor or a kind-hearted serial killer. Not sure which is worse.

Plus, I haven't much confidence in my own appearance so some friends call me "hot," but they're friends and thus their judgment on my positive aspects cannot be taken too seriously.

Pictures please!

Seriously, though, if you doubt your friends you could just ask people on the Internet what they think of your appearance, if you're so inclined.

I'm blonde with blue eyes, and by far the most common comment I get on my appearance is always made by strangers.
"You wouldn't have been killed by the Nazis!"

From a wonderfully dense girl;

"Oh my GOD, you have perfect eyebrows! Do you pluck?"

I was unsure whether I should feel insulted or flattered.

Hm.
