I was re-watching an episode of Top Gear where Jeremy Clarkson was racing across Japan and I came to the part where he showed the viewers a certain Japaneses drink that he had obtained.

This drink to be precise:

Note the symbol:

Yeah, that right,it's Curry Soda!. The conventional flavors are apricot, peach, lychee and green tea. But then someone thought that it was not enough. They added to that range the Curry and Wasabi flavors (that's right..there is Wasabi Soda too) and these now represent the spicy and extra hot versions of the soda respectively.

So, do you guys know of any other crazy concoctions floating about your supermarkets that can beat this?.

Escargot... Calamari... Hmm, that may be it that I know of. I know I've had something... Oysters! I don't see what the bid deal is, you can barely taste the damned thing. Hmm... I think that's about it.

But I do try anything new however, that's usually the kind of guy I am. Been telling my dad that we should go to an authentic German restaurant, when I find out they don't have cow brains I feel a need to yell shenanigans. I really wanted to try cow brains too... And some ox-tongue... Ah well, I have that cookbook.

Haggis. One of the weirdest things I have ever heard of. Next up, deep fried Kleenex.

EDIT: Ninja'd. God damn it.

Haggis. I actually ate some on my trip to Scotland a few years back.

And I'm never going to eat that again. I just couldn't stomach it too well, not because of taste, but rather the mental imaginery.

Nice, Ninja'd twice.

Snails, squid and octopus.

Seriously, who was it that thought they would be good to eat?

Fried Calamari on my mother's last birthday. Tastes kind of like really chewy, heavily buttered popcorn. It wasn't bad but it's not something I would consider eating often.

And Fish roe on sushi. It was mixed in with some sort of creamy hot sauce. Good stuff.

Well, snails are fine when a French chef prepares them (anything else is unacceptable), and squid is the base for those tasty fried calamari rings.
Octopus, however, just doesn't work, I agree. I've tried it and it's one of the few experiences in my life I heartily regret to this day.

Say... I know trying new things is usually a good thing, but doesn't this kinda go against the whole idea of soda? Isn't soda meant to be cool and refreshing instead of hot and oesophagus-incinerating...?

I know they're perfectly good to eat, but who saw a squid and thought "I wonder what this tastes like" instead of "Urgh, slimy, chuck it back in the sea"

lol i heard that was a lie about the blood crapping part.

Foods i've eaten that are considered weird. Haggis , cows tongue , snake , shark , kagaroo, frogs leg , a few other things like squid and such that i dont think is weird.

Think the weirdest thing i've seen would have to be plancenta juice, if your wondering what that is picture a fruit smoothie mixed with the stuff that comes out with the baby when its born.
Or in china in some areas anyways where they have resturants that sell rat or the best being the one that takes you into the back where you pick a caged cat , which is then beaten over the head with a baseball bat , to knock it out , then thrown into a pot of boiling water still alive.
I have to say when people get hungry they eat anything.. and sometimes that isn't right.

Weirdest thing I've consumed: Haggis. Great tasting, by the way.
Weirdest thing I've heard of: Tentacle Grape soda. One day I will drink some and it will be awesome!

Chocolate covered bacon. I mean, I saw it on the menu and was like "Hmmm... The epic taste of bacon plus the epic taste of chocolate..."

Well, I see your reasoning, and it is sound; however, I suspect a motive of necessity behind the discovery of squid being edible... if a substantial part of a fisherman's daily catch was squid, and they couldn't afford wasting anything from that catch, I suppose they tried it and found it to be tasty (or at least edible), which meant extra sales besides just fish.

I've had sea urchins, they where so fresh that even after you cut them in half and eat the meat on the inside they where still moving. It was very creepy!
