Psybadek (PS1) is without doubt the weirdest game I've ever played, it has terrifying animu characters, a mental soundtrack, bosses like a massive pig on a rolling ball and more penguins than any game should ever have. Cost me £3 on ebay after playing the demo when I was kid....it's worth it just get your mind blown as how crazy it is.

Also....no tutorial so you kind just have to guess how to play, closet thing to video I've got is this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=om8D53x33uA which is pretty concise :p

It's a small game in the Dear Ether 'wander about to recieve story' genre of games but it's just strange. You are a Dog hunting down rabbits which then talk to you and you go through a dialogue tree through a sort of branching story.

If people are bored I'd recommend you give it a try, I enjoyed it and it only take about 10-15 minutes to play.

Pandemonium 2 is essentially an acid trip.

Ooh also Evil twin:cyprien's chronicles. Imagine if Tim Burton made a video game.

Weirdest game I've played: Zeno Clash
Weirdest game I've played that seemed totally unaware of its weirdness: Kingdom Hearts

Killer 7 was pretty freakin' weird.

Ninja'd. Bravo!
Hard to pin down a weirdest moment. But I'll have to go with trying to nail two tycoons in their undead brains one after another or causing a hanging guy to swing by shooting him in the crotch before an evil goo reaches you.

OT: I have no clue what this captcha is...symantec?

Chrono Trigger, purely because my stomach made that weird rumbley noise Lavos makes just after lavos did.
It was terrifying.

With some pretty weird indie "games" out there, it's hard to choose the weirdest. But I'd say Osada (by Amanita Design), from the last Humble Bundle. I'm not even sure you could call it a game. It's a weird one alright.

I suppose I'll give it to Rock of Ages. It was the weirdest game that was actually fun to play.

Then again there is botanicula..

God.. that game was weird, looking back. Can't beleive I finished it. It's like if Clock Tower was re-made by Suda 51.

El Shaddai is a contender, and there is always Killer 7 and Katamari Whatever, but those last two are kind of mainstream at this point, and, as such, are no longer weird. The answer must be Mister Mosquito!
The fact that it had some sequels doesn't make it less weird. I believe any of the Katamari is weirder than El Shaddai.

My answer goes to Nobi Nobi. Its weird enough that it hardly feels like a game, let alone any genre...

Weirdest game played? That would be Katamari Damacy (PS2).
Odd color scheme.
Odd art design.
Odd music.
Odd gameplay.
Odd story.
It's not at all a bad game, mind you. But it's odd, odd, odd, odd, odd...

I remember when my housemate got Noby Noby Boy and we spent the best part of the evening just staring open mouthed and going "What the fuck?" as well...a giant colourful worm-thing ate, stretched and shat random objects everywhere.
