What is the weirdest/most irrational reason you've heard from someone (or maybe even yourself) for not liking a game?

So yesterday I was showing my friend No More Heroes and the conversation went like this:

ME: "So what do you think?"
FRIEND: "I don't like it."
ME: "Why not?"
FRIEND: "It doesn't fit."
ME: "What doesn't fit?"
FRIEND: "The retro stuff, it doesn't fit."
ME: "What do you mean?"
FRIEND: "Retro stuff shouldn't be in modern games. It doesn't fit."
ME: "...Okay..."

Yep that's weirdest I've ever gotten.

it may not be the weirdest, but I didn't like Oblivion cause of the "I'm staring at your soul" conversations

I think it's pretty weird when someone has decided to not like a game simply because the developerss created it for a console or with a console version in mind. Then again, that's really no different than not liking a game simply because it's on System X (which, shockingly, isn't the system the person complaining happens to own).

I want to try Assassins Creed II or Brotherhood but I just can't get past the godawful Italian accents.

I know they're in Italy but I've seen plenty of Italian movies and I know nobody talks like that. It's like they got Mario's voice-actor to voice everyone.

I've disliked a few games because of the color scheme (not the only reason, but a large one). Examples: Fallout 3, Gears of War.

Edit:
Thought of another one. I almost dislike the Uncharted games because of the dumbass turn into crazy town they take in the final act of each game. I hated the last 20% of the first game (one: because the story is more interesting without the supernatural bullshit. Two: because I hated the horror element that was added at that point in the game).

I think thats fair I mean the colour scheme is a large part of the asthetic which gives the entire game its feel so I think colour scheme is a fairly important part of a game.

Not a videogame originally, but related, I can't get into Scott Pilgrim because, even if it's a great comic, i really think Scott is a horrible person.

I keep hoping for the author to remove him from the plot -.-

My friend will never PVP in WOW because he 'opposes the war' he even wrote a 5 page dissertation on how much of an affront it is.

I have to say the whole excuse of 'because we were enemies in the past' is getting kind of old when there is giant death dragons and zombie kings wandering around. But it is just a game.

It doesn't stop me from playing it, but it irks me when in modern "realistic" shooters, they use the wrong guns or have totally the wrong uniforms and gear.

Take this for the arrogant hate speach that is is, basicly i dislike any game largely on its premis rather than gameplay, i have this same approach to most forms of media, i have a clear vision in my mind whether i will like it or not regaurdless of even trying. I guess thats just being jaded by not giving them a chance in the first place but its who i am! During the odd occasion when im convinced to try somthing depite my intense dislike of the concept i rarely find it good anyway, so i just pre-judge most things and only buy items i know i have interest for.

I usually won't own an FPS game because my roommate and his haughty group of friends look down on any game that isn't an NES-hard game or an obscure JRPG. Actually the same idea used to extend to RTS games, at least until I forced him to watch the GSL with me at 5 AM a couple months ago. Now Starcraft 2 is one of his favorite games (though he proclaims that Brood War was infinitely better, despite never playing it).

I don't like some FPSs that don't let you aim down the sights. I don't know why, games like Left 4 Dead or TF2 would be ruined if they added sights, but I really like sights in games that aren't fast-paced.

Fairly sure you could just play them in straight up Italian with subtitles... don't know, would that make it more appealing?

OT: Hammer space and 'trousers' (see Yahtzee's review of DA:O). It was the one thing I didn't like about Mass Effect (and a number of other otherwise really good RPG's).

I was trying to get my friend to try Amnesia: The Dark Descent and after about 3 minutes of playing he quit... When I asked him wy he said "because it's Luigi's Manion with better graphics"

...yeah...

This is the same friend that didn't like Bioshock because "you spend too much time underwater"
